Jemma was amazing from the beginning of viewing to the end of my contract with them. Soft spoken and responds to emails promptly.
The house was clean, neighbourhood is calm annd peaceful. It was amazing dealing with acorn letting and sales and the landlord as well. Prompt response to issues mostly regarding repairs. Highly recommended

Abysmal service.
I was told when booking to view a property that I would receive a call the morning of, to confirm the appointment. No phone call so I called them and had the appointment confirmed. 5 minutes later, they sent a text message to say that actually the property was under application, therefore my viewing was cancelled cancelled, obviously this hadn’t happened in the last 5 minutes.
It’s not difficult to let people know that their appointments are cancelled, clearly basic organisation & communication are amiss here.
Also they were too lazy to call and make sure I knew the appointment was cancelled, I could’ve easily missed a text message and wasted even more time by still going to the property.
I will definitely not be considering any properties let out by Acorn in the future.

AVOID TO RENT WITH THIS AGENCY AT ALL COSTS!! COWBOY CONTRACTORS LEAVING YOUR HOUSE WORSE THAN WHEN ORIGINALLY MOVED IN!!
I have rented off this estate agents for 3 years, The maintenance is absolutely diabolical the worst maintenance service in my 8 year of renting properties! Lost count on the amount of times I have had to ask for a damp proof course to be carried out and for 3 years all I've heard is " open your windows 365 days a year give your wall a wipe it'll be fine"..
FINALLY got a damp proof course this week, the cowboy contractors have left me with no Internet as they have had to take the socket off the wall and then put back on resulting in them breaking it and doing a shoddy job, sockets hanging off the walls were they have had the audacity not to sort the matter and dirty food bags left on my bedroom floor for my dog to eat out of when I came back in!!
I have young children and dogs and the service that has been provided I wouldn't let a homeless person live in here let alone my family!!
Shocking shocking service and I will be taking all of this along with the other problems yet to have been solved over the 3 year to the housing ombudsman.
DO NOT rent off of this so called lettings company!!

I have worked with Acorn for around 8 years now. I recently have asked them to take over managing my properties. I am extremely fortunate to have Jemma look after all my portfolio. Jemma has been amazing throughout. Very professional and thorough in all her work. We are never waiting long to get a new tenant and Jemma carries out all the viewings and paperwork to a high standard. For someone young and relatively new to this industry her knowledge is exceptional.Always polite and professional at all times. Since using Acorn (Nov 22), Rebecca and the team have been brilliant throughout. Alongside your usual day to day, Rebecca and the girls have gave advice, offerred assistance. Managed to organise a full heating refit as quickly as they could (minus temperatures outside). Unfortunately my time in Hartburn had to come to an end. But Rebecca moved quickly to assist in an alternate property(s). Cannot recommend Acorn enough to any one looking for housing in Teesside

Very poor service and communication! First rang the company to organise a viewing for two flats for sale on 23rd Feb was told the sales team member would call back. The following week I rang back as I had not heard anything, was told they were trying to reach the tenants to organise a viewing this was about a month ago. Still now I haven't heard anything back. Terrible shame

What can I say what a great team Rebecca has at Accorn lettings there all amazing nothing to much for them,we rented a bungalow for my father and they went out of there way to make sure everything was in place for my fathers release from hospital to the bungalow.

Acorn Antiques and Mrs Overall, the Victoria Wood Comedy sketch isnt what most people would model their company on. A good and professional company would have records of requests for repairs and actually do them. Acorn use the Deny deny deny method of repair and lie through their teeth and claim no request for repair has happened.
At best Acorn choose the cheapest and easiest repair and ignore the expense, difficult or potential dangerous repairs.
Private sector housing are now involved.
Most ppl would know how to run a business BEFORE they open it, not get a franchise, start running it and not bothering to learn the laws, rules and regulations that govern the business you have chosen.
So bad that they are incapable of informing people.that an appointment has changed. Pathetic

Rebecca is an absolute angel and a huge asset to Acorn lettings. I've had the pleasure of working with Rebecca as both landlord and as a property seller. With extensive industry and local knowledge I was reassured through regular communication and updates during the tenant finding process that Acorn provide a conscientious service tailoring the needs of both the landlord and the tenant to ensure good fit for all parties. Following this I utilised the full management package and found this to provide great value for money and peace at mind. When it came to the sale of my property it was evident that this level of meticulous service was consistent across all departments and due to Rebecca's extensive network within the industry my property was sold inside a week and managed through to completion without issue.
A friendly and approachable team I could not recommend Acorn enough whether a landlord, property seller or tenant you will not be disappointed and should I every go back into the property market I would not hesitate to engage with Acorn again.

I've been with Acorn many many years now and I recently had a problem that they actually sorted! The staff are lovely and talkative and they come out to check the house every 6 months. They usually write everything down but do nothing. Lol
But with my recent issue they were swift and had it all sorted within a week.
