We stumbled across Artistry on Instagram when we were thinking about potentially moving from Surrey, but didn't know where to move. As a result of seeing all the beautiful houses the Artistry had, we decided to visit Bedford and eventually ended up buying a house here with Artistry.
We had an amazing experience with Artistry - Barney and his team are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. As people who aren't usually the biggest fans of estate agents - Artistry couldn't have been better and completely the opposite of all the bad stereotypes. Professional, friendly, and not remotely pushy or salesman-y, we had the best experience that we could have when purchasing our property through them.
We have absolutely no plans of selling our house and hopefully never will - but if that time ever came, we would use Artistry to sell our house in a heartbeat.

Our much loved house was a large Victorian house in the town full of original features and much loved. We spent a long time deciding which agent was the right fit. I am so glad that we chose Artistry.
We came across them when we were doing viewings with our son and we were immediately impressed by the way they promoted their properties and conducted the viewing - this was exactly the kind of approach we wanted for the sale of our own home and it was just a couple of months later that we instructed them.
From the wonderful write up and photographs /videos to the very last viewing they updated us constantly. This team is just the loveliest you could hope to meet.

I cannot praise Barney and Deanna enough: they achieved asking price on our house, in a difficult market, and conducted themselves throughout with immense professionalism and charm. They are a small team, but so responsive that it works in the client's favour and you receive a very personal service. My first call to their office only got their ansaphone, which promised to call me back within two hours: when they were absolutely true to their word I knew it was a good sign. And so it proved; Barney spent real time with us at the start of the process finding out about the house and what we were trying to achieve, and once we had our final buyer the whole process was handled brilliantly by Deanna and we were kept informed every step of the way; they got us from offer to completion in just seven weeks. He is extremely dedicated, noting was too much to ask of him.
We had previously listed our home with an alternative large estate agent but didn't seem to be having much luck. The thing we really liked about Artistry is, its a small company so everyone within the company knows everything about the home - which makes it a very personal experience and it is very efficient for the seller & the buyer.
Our sale & purchase was quite stressful due to others in the chain & inefficient solicitors but Barney helped in every way he could to bring the process to a smooth completion.

What attracted us about Artistry was the number of similarly unique houses in the high-end market on their books and an excellent track record of sales within this sector. A key requirement in the stressful process of selling one's house is an Agent who actively communicates sales progress and plans regularly and without being chased, and Barney performed excellently in this regard. He is also very honest in his views about a property, both good and bad and advises well about it's overall presentation. His literature is superb, both in words and pictures and we will keep ours as a good reminder. Barney introduced a buyer who came, saw, liked and made an offer which we accepted before the house even went on the market!! I've read all the previous reviews and agree entirely. Barney is the antithesis of an archetypal estate agent: he's a guy you feel you can trust absolutely. He will not sugar-coat and acts as an honest broker between vendor and buyer, when the time comes. He is professional, calm and very hard-working, but always with an easy charm and good humour. We would recommend him unreservedly.

From the moment I met Barney Coles I was so impressed by his professionalism, passion and enthusiasm for the property. This was clearly shown in the wonderful brochure produced by him and his team. We at once felt our house sale was in safe hands and from the outset he gave us a realistic expectation of what our house might achieve in terms of it value. The true professional nature of Barney (Artistry Properties) is that he found a buyer, without advertising our property. The buyer had a family member who had previously bought via Artistry Properties and thus created a professional relationship. Barney is very open and honest with what he feels can be achieved through the sales process and not simply allowing us (the seller) to get carried away with stupid valuations so often part of Estate Agency. Barney, is highly professional and a great communicator. We were nervous about engaging any agent to sell our property as it had been in the family for over 50 years, however Barney was empathetic and very open with his critique of our property. Artistry Properties is a refreshing change from the usual service that is offered by high street estate agents and will reassure you that estate agents can be honest, straight forward and reliable! Barney Coles is both professional and efficient, but most importantly operates transparently and gives both buyers and sellers realistic expectations of what they might achieve and how quickly they might achieve it. His rates are also very competitive and he comes highly recommended.
