From the very first interaction, Lucy made the whole experience feel straightforward and enjoyable. She was incredibly accommodating when it came to arranging viewings and made sure we had all the time we needed to properly explore the property. There was never any sense of pressure just genuine support and helpful insight.

We’re incredibly pleased with the service from Chris, Lucy and the team at Bairstow Eves, Chigwell. Interestingly, we originally bought this house through the same agents nearly 25 years ago — and although the team has naturally changed over the years, the quality of service has remained consistently excellent.
From the outset they priced the property realistically and professionally, which made all the difference — we achieved an offer of 99.7% of the asking price within the first three weeks. Although there were a few administrative bumps along the way that were out of their control, they were always reassuring, got straight on the case, and consistently came through for us. Communication was excellent throughout, and they were proactive in chasing, keeping us updated, and helping the process move forward . Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive. Bairstow Eves were instructed to sell my mum’s house and the contact there was Chris Rawlings.
Since day one Chris has been professional, friendly and eager to help us at every juncture. The rest of the team at the office were also always up to speed so whenever I rang the office, the team knew what was going on even if Chris was out of the office.
I was also impressed with the level of communication and calls were returned in a very short time.
Overall given the national jokes about problems with estate agents, I must say Bairstow Eves at Chigwell is the exception to the rule.

Bairstow Eves helped my brother and I to sell our Mums property. We had used agents prior to selecting Bairstow without much success and enthusiasm.
Steve assisted with the foundations and from that point on, Sam and Cem ensured the viewings were always at a good level and stayed in contact every step of the way. Sam would call weekly and confirm how many bookings he had arranged for the week, and then once sold STC pretty much held our hand and guided us through every step of the way. His effort continued with communicating continuously with both parties solicitors, and supporting my brother and I through quite an emotional task. Sam really deserves to be recognised for his commitment to his work. He is polite, friendly and reassuring. Chris also supported us and gave sound advice throughout the sale which has given peace of mind. Having never sold a property before, both Sam and Chris helped me to understand things that I had previously no idea about. Worst experience we have ever had.
on our first viewing we booked over a week in advance we was told an hour before the actual viewing that it was cancelled, bear in mind we both took time off work in order to cater for this.
As if this wasn’t bad enough, we gave the property a second chance and booked a viewing in the convenience of the seller and estate agent which was on a Saturday… we turned up 15 minutes before agreed time, waited almost an hour and nobody showed up.
Nobody from Bairstow Eves bothered to call us… Again, another day of work lost due to the incompetence of these estate agents.

Absolutely shocking experience, if I could give a zero I would. Tried to sell a house for my elderly parents who have no idea about selling a house and were already anxious and nervous but trusted Bairstow Eves Chigwell. Our house was valued high to then be heavily reduced within weeks. We were promised things but agents never delivered, was always constantly chasing for answers and updates. Late for viewings, never turned up for viewings and this with 5 minutes notice. Awful Experience. I Do not recommend them. We went to another agent who sold our house within 2 weeks and the difference in communication and honesty was incredible. However. Be aware of the clauses in their contract which are not explained but in small print if you wish to end your contract.

I would give no stars if this was an option. Unfortunately, we have had a very poor experience with Bairstow Eves Chigwell branch, and have found them to be incompetent and dishonest throughout the process of trying to sell our house. I would not recommend using them if you want to avoid going through this terrible experience. Misadvised, lack of communication, over valuing properties to gain business are just a few issues of their poor professional standards. Be aware of the contract clauses which will haunt you forever!!!!

we have been trying to sell our mum house but because it is in a trust it was very problematic, purple square things did not have a clue, we contacted Bairstow Eaves who did not bat an eyelid they just found solutions , we had one person on the trust who was proving to be very difficult again Bairstow eaves,or should I say Steve Nichols and his team,went to work, they contacted the problem and got her to sign, there were many obstacles that were overcome, for instance the house was in need of a good update as it had not been touched since 1969, add to that our mum is bed bound Steve took his team( Irfan and Amy) to the house to introduce them so the viewings were as sensitive as possible, Steve and his team were and are extremely professional, they went above and beyond what you would expect, we was advised to auction the property which we did, the house was sold and completed in within a week and we achieved a very fair price, i cannot praise Steve Nicholls and his team high enough, our time with him has been a pleasure.

We were looked after by Steve Nichols the Branch Manager who came across as genuine, honest, transparent and informative - something that stood out having viewed a number of other properties with other local agents. I never felt he was being pushy or saying something that wasn’t necessarily true for the sake of making a sale which in turn gave me confidence and built up a level of trust.

Having had great service from Bairstow Eves in the past I decided to use the Chigwell branch when selling my late mother's house. I did not want the hassle of dealing on line.
I got brilliant service and I must single out Simone Tennent whose drive an determination was second to none in getting the transaction completed as soon as was possible. I have no hesitation in recommending Bairatow Eves.
