Having used Bennett Holmes for a number of years managing a small rental portfolio, the team were always very responsive. They were consistent in demonstrating good ownership of any issues and were always very consistent in following owners' instructions. Transfer of funds was always carried out quickly and without error. In choosing a letting agent to manage property(ies), you are typically looking for confidence in the team's capability and for peace of mind. That was my experience from first to last with the Bennett Holmes Lettings Team and there was never a regret with the decision to entrust properties to them.
Similarly when selling properties, the Bennett Holmes Sales Team gave me confidence in their market knowledge. Sales estimations are always tricky to judge, particularly given recent economic conditions, but the team were always realistic in their expectations of the prices that could be achieved, sometimes verging on the conversative rather than the more typical exaggerated promises that can come from sales agents trying to win business. Correctly-priced properties usually sell better in the end and so it proved, which each sale being pretty close to the desired asking price. Once the sale was agreed, the Sales Team were very tenacious in following the transaction through to completion and managing the various parties involved. Again, no regrets and I have used and would use Bennett Holmes in future.

Date of this review 08.12.2023. Property (maisonette) sold above asking price in 9 days with current market offer period of some 13-16 weeks. Very professional, friendly. Initially more expensive than larger local chain. Showed potential customers around on our behalf. Initial asking price was competitive as confirmed by the other agency but being local, I chose BH. Would recommend. BH sales team are to recommended. Fees are well worth it.

Update: I have submitted the report for your false claims to the Deposit Scheme. These people planned it with the inventory checker that the checkout report should show the damages so I can not get the money back they tried it very well but I had the proofs that had been submitted to the Deposit Scheme. They are the Scammers they and the landlord both try their best not to give the deposit back. People should be aware of your scams. Let me talk about your character when you guys need rent every month and deposit everything is fine but once you move out of the house they will be the rudest person in the world. I am a landlady. I have been a landlady for 25 years and I have finally found 'the one'. Bennett Holmes was recommened to me by a builder after my rental property had been trashed yet again by the tenan. The tennants told me they had called the agent but they had not responded. Bennett Holmes are helpful, intelligent, family owned and really responsive to me and the tenants. I know I can relax and trust them. They have actaully instpected the property, actaully reported on the issues, actually provided solutions, done the things they need to do without having to be asked, chased and they have done them well. I am relieved and happy to be with them. I recommend for both tennants and landlords

Hi I moved to Bennett Holmes (as a landlord) after a bad experience with another agent. They were recommended to me as the ' only one I would use'. The experience has been fantastic. This is definitely a joke of an Estate Agency, I have never felt to so embarrassed for a business before. Unprofessional and unbothered staff that claim to call you but never do. Scammers, take the deposit to keep the house, then ask for endless papers to verification till the point you give up renting, then they go to the next victim, with some external verification company, I found another agency and took few days all the verification process that didn't ask for any money to keep the house until the affordability checks get done, is understandable that is a scamming company as much as they can. Avoid at all costs!

My experience with Bennett Holmes has been that they are professional and go over and above what they are required to do. My tenants had damaged the property quite a bit and Sophie took over finding me a cleaner, builder, clearance guy and sorted out everything. Boiler wasn't working Jason went over and sorted it out.
Throughout the time the property was on the market she kept me informed of progress. I never once had to chase for an update.

Please do not ever use this estate agent, they were absolutely awful in our search for a house. Avoid Matthew Williams at all costs, he is friendly at first but then he only follows the money and doesnt give a monkeys about you personally.
He needs to learn about customer service and treating people with respect, regardless of how "useless" he considers them in his sales. He also lied to us regularly throughout the process so listen carefully to what he says, he will do anything to make a sale.

Katie Brier, of the Northolt branch, gives excellent service & cannot be recommended too highly. She is enthusiastic & sends regular progress reports. I asked 3 agents for probate valuations. Katie Brier was the first to respond. We live 120 miles away from the flat to be sold. Katie found a locksmith to change the locks & will have the electricity meter read on completion. As so often happens, 2 buyers dropped out. Katie quickly found a third, who has now exchanged contracts. The second buyer's solicitors had done much work before that buyer offered a much reduced price just before exchange of contracts was due. Katie suggested to the third buyer that it would be quicker & cheaper for him to use the previous solicitors. This saved a lot of time. Katie has taken the load off our shoulders & pursued matters to a successful conclusion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
All nice and well when your in one of the properties that they get you in and your paying your bills on time and keeping it all nice and clean...however, woe is the day you move out! They will make up all lies to keep ALL of your deposit. They worked closely together with the landlord to work this shambles together.
They didn't turn up for check out on the day. Also, they didn't inform me of any issues (but evidently quickly spoke to the landlord to concoct a scam). Only found out of an alleged issue with returning the deposit 5 days after checkout when I chased them up. Apparently the property was not 'clean.' Which is totally false. We even left a good flat screen TV and new microwave for the new tenants out the goodness of our heart and we are now being charge for that! Also, for items that was already in the property when we ourselves moved in.
Apparently it costs £1800 to clean a property which is left undeniably SPOTLESS!
Do you and your family a favor and avoid these rouge traders!

By your response you are further proving that you are not only complicit in the landlords scam to draw not £1800, but now £3800 based off the micky mouse inventory you all have invented but you are TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and unskilled in handing complaints...
I have not given you permission to copy and paste a report that is addressed to the tenant and landlord on a public platform. I'm not sure if your GDPR officer will approve of this breach...However, you have just shown your professionalism to the public.
Lastly, if you know as you have privately confessed to myself, the landlord is totally acting immoral and greedy. You have also stated the home just needs a professional clean costing around £300, why will Bennett Homes happily represent the landlord again, who is going to inevitably going to do the same unlawful rent increases, charging for issues that was there from the beginning (which you said you agree with me on) and have tied to tell him not to do so, why are you happily representing him to get new tenants in, 5 days after we move out?...One answer, money.
You are complicit and willing accomplices of dodgy landlords at the very least and have offered no solution to this issue but have made every attempt to wash your hands of it.

Utterly unprofessional lot. They confirmed a viewing for a property on sale with us on 14th October 2017 in Hayes. I travelled from Liverpool with family to view the property. A lady from Bennett Holmes was outside the property saying she does not have the keys to the property. We waited there for over 2 hours and then told, sorry can not view as no keys available. How can they confirm a viewing without keys. I do not recommend this company to both landlords and buyer/renters as they are unprofessional, and unapologetic time wasters.
