We put our house up for sale 3 years ago with an estate agent, frustratingly after over a year we had very few viewings and zero offers. we took our house down and re listed with Bridgefords in Penketh. The difference was absolutely astounding, Bridgefords took ownership and responsibility for all the viewings, they worked with us, to give us the best possible chance at sale with over 25 viewings in the space of 3 weeks we were astounded. I have just used Bridgefords Estate Agents Penketh Branch for the sale of my family home due to my dad going into a care home. From the very beginning when Deb came to value to the property they have been nothing but fabulous. There has been plenty of up and downs with complications and issues with buyers but Bethany has dealt with everything thrown at her with total professionalism and kept me informed and in the loop 100% throughout the long process.The sale was very emotional for me but she was always there with a kind word and reassurance. AVOID GILSON GREY. No issues with the estate agents, but if they recommend Gilson Grey as your conveyancer, don't do it. I've never met a more useless bunch of "professionals". I've spent more than 2 weeks and 30 phonecalls trying to get someone to send in forms for my LISA deposit, a 5 minute task. Can't complete my purchase until then.... Read more

Bridgfords was brilliant from the beginning. Deb was so welcoming when other local estate agents told us it was too soon to discuss options with us. Caroline was super supportive when we received a difficult survey on our property. But Lewis has been the star of the show. When working towards exchange and completion, it seemed that solicitors weren't communicating, but Lewis wouldn't take no for an answer and steered everyone through to the end. We booked an appointment to view a property on Saturday 20th April. Just after appointment time when we were at the property got a call to say the person who was showing us round was ill and he had the keys to the property. We were very annoyed not been told earlier. Looking on line a couple of days later the property was sold how strange. I wondered why they didn't contact us to rearrange the viewing. Not very professional.... Read more

Not the best experience, if just trying to arrange a viewing is this difficult, cannot imagine actually purchasing a home from them. Filled a form on the website to arrange a viewing, not heard anything for 2 days. Rang the office asked to view a property, was told cannot get in touch with the homeowner. I'll call you tomorrow. No phone call the next day. Same agent rang me on Monday asked for availability, told her suitable times. Agent asked for MAIP if she was to book a viewing. Which she had not mentioned anything the week before. Sending over the MAIP is not an issue at all. It's the overall experience and treatment. Very very poor customer service. It's like they don't want to sell you a house. Agent could've handled the situation much better but I don't think she has any communication or customer service skills. Which resulted in me saying, forget about the whole thing and unsubscribed to any communication from the estate agent. Shame, lost a potential buyer.... Read more

Don’t use Bridgefords, fine when on sale despite 2 no shows. Once sold, total radio silence bar three calls all of which driven by others in the chain, we did all the work. I have very recently sold my home with Bridgfords. I cannot recommend the company enough. Shannon was the main estate agent for the sale and was amazing. She always responded quickly, kept me updated, was friendly, warm and empathetic to the situation - she even supported me when I left my house and was upset on the phone to her! If Shannon wasn't available (house viewings etc), Caroline and Deb were equally as supportive and dealt with my queries etc in Shannon's absence. I was always made to feel very welcome when I popped into the branch and never felt I was taking up time (I like a gab!). The photographer was brilliant too. In addition, I used other services provided/suggested - conveyancing, surveying and mortgage - again all excellent. Two family members are now using Bridgfords due to my recommendation. Cannot recommend Bridgfords highly enough. I posted on a local group page on Facebook and 90% of the responses recommended Bridgfords. Caroline came round to value our home and immediately won both myself and the wife over with her enthusiastic and professional approach. Photo's were arranged for the Wednesday, went live Friday morning, 8 viewings booked for the following day within 6 hours of being live, then we accepted an offer well over asking price the same day. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We dealt most with Caroline and Deb, but they all worked brilliant together as a team towards our completion. I would definitely recommend using bridgfords in penketh. I have just bought and sold my property with them and my experience with the team was excellent. The stafff Caroline, Debbie and Mollie go above and beyond, they allowed me to view properties on sundays (their day off) not any sunday but a fathers day also sat with the old lady that I was buying my house from while the survey took place. Sold my house 2years ago there pros and con with Bridgefords. The good thing was they were fast out of the blocks with how much there fees are and what you get for your money, other agents seem to mess about. Bridgeford are very expensive never accept their first price, quoted £2300 plus vat then they knock £500off, I requested they did the viewings as I wasn't living in the area. Do not go with sale price offers overs only unless you have got a queue of buyers. I had no offers with that type of sale, they want me to reduce the house by 10k and keep offers over, I refused and they took offer over off, Bridgefords weren't keen on me requesting it, but the house sold within weeks of doing it. Never go with their solicitors it's very expensive I shopped around for half the price and they were local. Customer service was very good for the first few months at Bridgefords Ashton, then it seem to go bad that they didn't seem to be bothered anymore. I would never go with Bridgefords again due to the last phone call I had with them. Every had exchanged OK and the new buyer was moving in on the Monday I had posted the spare keys with a note at Ashton Bridgeford on the Sunday at their request. Got a call from my solicitor on the Monday saying the buyer wanted to know where the spare keys were, contacted Bridgefords Ashton about the message about the keys they said the buyers got them. (would of been nice if you had told the buyer he had all the keys). Then I thought Bridgefords would have said something like hope you were happy with service and many thanks for your business, no they said in an arrogant manor "anything else you want" I said no as long as the buyer got the spare keys, then they slam the phone down. Don't go with Bridgefords expensive, customer service starts good then slips to where they speak to you like dirt.... Read more

Upon viewing the property, we met a wonderful, helpful, and very friendly estate agent called Molly. Although the property we viewed and met Molly in wasn't what we were looking for, Molly was in constant contact through email and over the phone with information on potential new properties we may be interested in. She has collected feedback on each viewing we have had, answered every question we asked and has generally been a great help to us both. When we wished to sell our house earlier in the year, we had had previous dealings with both Karen and Paul when viewing a property in late last year. We were so impressed with their happy and welcoming personalities that we didn't even think twice about choosing them to sell our home. It has been a long road for us, and along each step of the way everyone in the Penketh office has been easy to contact and very personable with both of us. We both work varying shift patterns around the 24 hour clock and this was no issue at all for anyone at the office. They have been extremely helpful and accommodating in every way possible. You can clearly tell they enjoy their jobs and have a passion for selling homes not houses. Thank you all so much for everything you have done for us and continue to do. Extremely happy with our experience to date. Bridgfords have been professional and trustworthy from the start. The valuation and marketing was accurate and we accepted an offer within 24 hours of our house being put on the market. Bridgfords are on the ball, we have never had to chase them. The team like to keep the process moving along smoothly. Even when I've been stressed out, the team have displayed a positive and a calming attitude - which has helped me to relax! We have had absolutely no problems with viewing properties to buy - Again Bridgfords came up trump's and were always willing and able to arrange these. We have had problems with other local estate agents, who have promised call backs and viewings but have let us down. This was not the case with Bridgfords. In addition to using the Estate Agents, we are working with the Countrywide mortgage broker, Mike. Again highly recommended. Mike has done an amazing job finding the best mortgage deal for us. Sold our house via Bridgford's Penketh office, listed in early May and sold within a month after having been on the market with another estate agent for over 6 months! Brilliant marketing, fantastic pictures and very friendly, helpful staff, great throughout the sale not just putting you to one side once the price had been agreed and the commission was in the bag.
