We used Cavendish for the sale of our apartment in Chester. There is an extensive team within Cavendish, so we dealt with different people at different stages of the process. Phil was very thorough during the initial valuation stage, and clearly described the whole process. The viewing team were always helpful at keeping in touch via email, but the absolute star of the show was Emily - the Sales Progressor. Our sale was dreadfully drawn out, due to various issues, but Emily went above and beyond as a go-between. Constantly following up with both sides and trying to negotiate agreements between both the Buyer and the Seller - her patience was unlimited and she was always very efficient at keeping us informed by email. We initially bought this apartment through Cavendish in 2015, and having completed the sale with them as well, we would have no fear in recommending them to others.

Cavendish have sold 2 of our houses in the past, happy with the service so instructed them to act for us again. Eventually sold but not without its challenges, no assistance with viewings (doesn’t work Wednesdays or Sundays, too short notice so gave up asking). Asked for advice on improving chances of sale, shrugged shoulders and said reduce price by X% to register on Rightmove. Very little in the way of sales negotiation, very much left to me to decide on how to proceed. Email to say a sale had fallen through-expected a phone call given the significance of this. Overall a poor experience this time

Initially they spent a lot of time updating us with feed back from viewers and we secured a buyer within 10 days. However the sale fell through and the estate agent have now put the house back on the market.
We have not had any communication since then and I did ask for a monthly report to be sent to show activity around our house today’s I have not received this.

At first I thought my property would be managed by cavendish, after paying all the fees Cavendish required I was then told it would be managed by the landlady herself . Inventory images covered up by furniture, peeling plaster, no gas checks, and yet I've been expected to pay near to £800 PM. Now I'm moving home when asked, the landlady still thinks its appropriate to take my deposit of £1125, these charges include a skip, carpet clean and a few hours of housekeeping. To start we agreed on a deduction of £200 with a additional charge of £140 for a skip. As the weeks went but the landlady must have changed her mind and decided she wants to take the whole amount. Cavendish tried to mediate between us both buy failed and now I'm left with no depsit funds for my new property that has now been lost. Reason I went with cavendish is because I thought they were a reputable company, and most of all the decision would be made on a non biast decision, I've paid a big price to find out this is not the case, they act clearly as Tennant finders and what goes on after the fees have been paid is your problem. Really dont know what to do, been staying cheap hotels as I have no family or friends in the area and I need to study so I have no choice. To anyone that's considering to rent from cavendish I wouldn't recommend it as they are near enough 100% on the landlords side and you will most defonatley not be seeing your depsit again for no fault of your own. I have tried to complain using other channels but I've had no luck, once you pay them their cut of the deal safe to say you've been robbed blind.
