Cannot recommend Gavin and the team in Cranleigh high enough. From evidence based advice on pricing and the market, through to impeccable marketing and attention to detail we knew we had chosen well. Having been shown around a few properties by Gavin we knew that he was right to present our home, he is informed, assured and relaxed. But that doesn't mean he isn't tuned in to the situation and collecting feedback. We always received feedback directly after a viewing and it was always detailed and presented with insight. In a buyers market we had a steady stream of viewings (2 or 3 a week) and achieved full asking price- which reflected the original guidance on pricing. I would highly recommend Gavin and the team at Chantries and Pewleys Cranleigh to everyone. My late sister’s house was on the market with another company for over a year without any sign of a buyer when we made the decision to move to Chantries and Pewleys. They quickly found a buyer within three months and the sale was completed. We got a very good commission rate as the C&P Cranleigh office had only just opened (March 2023) so we could not really go with anybody else! They had all their staff visit the house so everybody could with full knowledge inform any client visiting their office. They kept us in touch asap of any viewings and confirmed everything by email. They had many years of experience between them (unlike eg Foxtons) and were very personable people. They did not hide their frustration with the solicitors involved but always acted in a professional manner regardless. A good team! I would indeed use C&P again!... Read more

We had such an amazing experience dealing with this estates agents as a buyer that we felt compelled to say the biggest thank you, especially to Mike. Due to a new job opportunity I found myself having to sell my property in Manchester and relocate to Surry. When looking for a property to move to and with the distance of travel been quiet long we only wanted to travel to properties we felt met our needs. To assist with this decision making we asked estate agents do extra videos of properties to help with the short listing process and I'm sorry to say not all estate agents we dealt with were willing to do this for us I'm very happy to say that Chantries did. They went that extra mile for their sellers and did a great video for us which meant that we could act quickly and make arrangements to visit the property in person. They made arrangements around our travel times allowing for any problems and were very flexible. They did everything possible for us as the buyer and worked hard for their seller. We viewed the property and put in an offer which was accepted. The sellers at the top of the chain were working towards a very tight and quick exchange date and throughout the whole process as the buyer, Mike kept us informed and was always easily contactable and would always return calls promptly. He provided regular updates as to how everything was progressing. Chantries especially Mike worked tirelessly for his sellers and to us as the buyer and I think it was his hard work and dedication that helped make it possible to be able to reach and exchange contracts smoothly and on time. I can not recommend Chantries & Pewleys Estate Agents enough, as their professionalism and commitments to their sellers and buys just shows what an exemplary estate agents can achieve. Chantries are relatively new agents in Cranleigh although they have other branches operating in the surrounding villages. Gavin and Mike have been exceptional in the way they have managed the sale and contract process of our home.
