I don’t often take time make reviews, but felt the need to give feedback on Garry and the wider team at Cranleigh Curchods. Garry has consistently delivered excellent service while selling my house. The sale was complex due to probate, but his depth of knowledge and availability took the stress out of any legal issues that arose. Ours was the sale of my elderly parents’ property. Garry stood out from the competition with his knowledge of comparable sales, prevailing market and in demonstrating a sensitivity of approach. There was absolutely no hard sell. Valuation was sensible.
In the end it was a challenging probate sale. Some of the challenges were within our control, most of them were not.
I can honestly say that, without Curchods’ persistence, patience and constant pressure, we would never have got there. The team were simply outstanding and earned every cent of their fee. I’ve bought and sold many times over the years and this team were head and shoulders above everyone else.

We moved into the area just before Christmas and although this feedback is a little late, I still want to say how well Neil and the Curchods team in Cranleigh looked after us. Neil was very efficient in keeping us updated with the whole process of buying/selling and always got back to us quickly with any questions/queries that we had. Neil was particulary good with his very calm manner and approach and really did help to ease some of the stresses that inevitably come with a house move. I would not hesitate to recommend.

My wife worked for many years with the old agency - Burns & Webber in Cranleigh so when we were looking to use an agent to sell one of our investment properties we looked to the re branded office in Cranleigh - Curchods. Clive came out and valued the property and we agreed a price. Even though their minimum fee was higher % fee than we had been quoted by other agents, we decided to go with them thinking that the service would be 'as good as it was before' working on the understanding that you get what you pay for. Well, we had 2 viewings and 2 offers. All sounded good until Neil took over and then it all went down hill from there and the whole experience started to become very painful. We had to chase for updates and the buyers were First time buyers so were no 'house purchase savvy' not their fault everyone has to start somewhere. I'm a mortgage broker so have held many a FTB hand through the buying process - something Neil doesn't seem understand it would appear, he kept asking them questions rather than going direct to their solicitor. At one point it ended with me telling Neil what he should be doing - is this what we were paying for??? Then after Neil got side lined Garry took over - a little better but still not dynamic or impressive. Even our solicitor had to chase them for information. So overall, WILL never use them again or recommend. I would of thought because both myself and my wife were 'in the game' that they would of done a really good job - however, I guess this is how they treat their normal client's. Use them at your own peril and if you are soo chilled that you are almost asleep and you won't notice the level of service that they provide. Good Luck with your sale or purchase - you'll need it!

Buyer Beware!!!!
We offered full asking price on a property , was told that same day the vendor would be delighted to accept our offer, this was followed up by an email confirming the above asking for proof of identity solicitors details etc thus allowing them to send out the memorandum of sale.
The property was then advertised as sold subject to contract.. off the market!
Job done you would imagine.
A weekend spent believing the property was ours and moving forward on that basis.
The following Monday we were greeted with a voicemail telling us another offer following our accepted one was now being considered offering over and above the asking price and that they were legally obliged to put it forward, ha ha ha !!
One would of hoped the days of estate agents encouraging and facilitating the act of Gazumping was over…
We were cash buyers

How disgusted with this company they can arrange a viewing for you then put the property under offer on their website but fail to inform you. Evidently it happened late last night and definitely too late to notify us.
I had to ring 90 mins before the appointment to find this out.

I want to praise the entire team at Burns & Webber Cranleigh. The cottage went on the market in the evening of 1st June. There were over 11 viewings in the first 3 days with 3 strong contenders able to offer over the guide price. I accepted a bid on 10th June. The buyers did everything they promised. We exchanged contracts on 21st June and completed on the 29th; the buyers moved in that same day. Even without COVID this must surely be a record. Burns & Webber's advice and follow-through was first-class throughout.

Great customer service. Always approachable and available when you need them. You tend to deal with one person who really gets to know you and your property. When they conduct viewings they can really sell your property as they know the positives it has to offer. When you are working towards exchange they keep you informed and chase others on your behalf.
