We had an excellent experience with Chapmans Estate Agents. After trying another agent prior to Chapmans, where it was difficult to get any contact, or reply from emails sent I hoped for a better experience when moving agents and that’s exactly what we got. There was always someone at the end of the phone, email or text when I needed to contact them.
They went above and beyond from start to finish in the process of selling our home. We were met with an attitude that supported us, our needs and full of positivity. A breath of fresh air.
The quality of photography, walk through video and use of social media no doubt really helped with the sales process. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We even had a second lot of photos taken to freshen up the listing and a very techy reel that captured our home perfectly.
Rhys and the whole team were wonderful and patient with us, but I have to give a special mention to Lowri! Our selling journey wasn’t easy for many reasons but Lowri kept me sane, and positive we’d eventually get our sale. And that’s exactly what she achieved.
Lowri was so friendly and enthusiastic at every viewing and worked her magic to finally secure our sale. She has a wonderful future in the business ahead of her ? thank you Lowri.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
I was a landlady of two properties managed by this agency, and both were returned to me in an unacceptable condition due to insufficient inspections. Despite repeated complaints, the agency’s director, Rhys Chapman, promised to deduct management fees to make things right, but later went back on his word.
As well as this he withheld both tenancy deposit bond certificates and the EICR and gas safety certificates from me.
I had to escalate the matter to the official redress scheme (his regulators), which found in my favour and awarded me nearly £1,000 in compensation- an amount the agency delayed paying until the very last possible day. And he forwarded the documents he had been withholding from me again on the very last day. Again showing his lack of professionalism.
This experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing.
In my view, this agency showed a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and did not act in my best interests as a paying client.
If you are a landlord or landlady, I would strongly advise AVOIDING this agency.
