We rented with this agent for 6 years. The are unresponsive, have a complete lack of interest in maintaining a property with a cowboy approach to repairs and maintenance, yet they're very happy to raise the rent and keep part of your deposit. Unprofessional, greedy and slack. I would honestly not recommend renting or renting out with this agant at all.

If I could give this estate agents no stars I would.
I rented out a property which was managed by this estate agents, and the property was filthy, with no working bathroom or hot water in the kitchen. The hob was broken, and throughout the property there was exposed wirings, broken blinds, broken light bulbs etc. Upon emailing the estate agents, I was met with utter contempt and rudeness. There was no support, proper communication and the general demeanour was one of hostility, lack of care, disinterest and if it didn't benefit them financially, they were not interested.
I find it horrifying that they consider the state of the flat they rented out acceptable. Food was still down the sink, and the bathroom mirror was broken. It took them over 6 weeks to send the handyman out despite promising it would happen as soon as possible, and this was with numerous chaser emails.
Their conduct was completely unprofessional, and way below the standards I would expect of any company, let alone one who is supposed to be supportive of tenants.
I would advise anyone to stay away from letting with this company. I cannot advise on their sales team, but from what I have seen of the director, and the woman looking after my tenancy, I would never recommend them to anyone.

I attended a viewing with the director and found his conduct unwelcoming, uninformative and bordering on rude and disinterested.
My impression of his lack of interest and information was that he had made his selection.
My partner was told the selection process was not on a first come first serve basis and it felt the selection was made.
It was difficult not to feel possibly judged as immediately it is obvious in the difference in our cultures.

Called to book a viewing when a property came to rightmove.
The conversation with a gentleman at Colombs lasted under 60 seconds. I was told viewings were not being scheduled yet and I would be called back to arrange once dates were known and they confirmed my phone number. That was my first experience. No details were even asked of me. I followed up with an email as I got the sense Colombs had no intention of calling me back. This and my next email went ignored. I then phoned 2 weeks later to find out viewings had commenced and offers placed and so the property was no longer available. Terrible service. Not good for prospective tenants but even worse for the fee paying landlord given Colombs do not know our position I.e. we could offer higher than the asking price and we could pay the whole years rent up front etc.

I've rented with Colombs for 3 years and they're fabulous: all problems quickly taken care of, always cheerful - Martyn, Natalie and team always a joy to speak to. I highly recommend.

Colombs Thame have been amazing! helped us secure our first home in such difficult times with Covid-19.
Contact is fast and efficient.
We had issues with White Lion Residential (we had offer accepted on a property but we're being mucked about).
Our estate agent Lois played a huge part in us buying our first home from start to finish.
we can not thank Lois and Colombs enough.
