I had no property viewings and ended the contract. Communication was poor, with promised weekly updates not being made and the excuses for not being able to generate interest in my house were ridiculous. For example my village doesn't have a train station! Not proactive in anyway, asking me for suggestions as to what they could do, to do their job. Expected the online platforms to do all the work.... Recently sold my house using Martin & Co, with an excellent level of service and communications throughout and since from Patricia Vassib. The house was on the market with dual agents (initially just with the original Aylesbury agent since March ‘23), having engaged Martin & Co. late in ‘23 to stimulate a broader catchment area of interest. Very early in ‘24 Patricia had several interested parties viewing, one of whom made an offer. Patricia achieved us a sale price close enough to our expectations in the current market to secure the sale. A mere 10 weeks after offer the whole chain completed. Patricia worked exceptionally well with our conveyancer (Sophie Burke at Elite Conveyancing) and the buyers to ensure clear communications throughout the process. This level of service continued even after the sale when the buyer found a left item in the house after moving in and gave it to Patricia, who then contacted me to inform me of the find and then posted it direct to me via recorded delivery. There's a lot I could say about Ollie and the experience so far, but in summary it's been thoroughly enjoyable and I believe a great outcome for everyone. I put my faith and partly my future happiness in Ollie to help locate the best family/buyer for my property because its extremely important to know that whoever chose to purchase would be really happy here once I left. Ollie knew the potential buyers straight away, fortunately. He was exceptional in his organisation, planning and communicating through the process and is very charming and enjoyable to spend time with that it didn't feel a stressful process or cumbersome. The potential buyers took time to make sure it was right for everyone now and bought a builder round to discuss extending for the future. During this time Ollie kept me informed and the outcome is that we have reached an offer that suits everyone and was done in a very reasonable period of time indeed. Ollie has a unique approach but its 100% proven by me and is refreshing. I was considering the online platforms but was hesitant because I feel better working with someone because selling or buying is an xtremely important event in your life that you should enlist the best help and support you can, its got to be worth that. If you are looking for an estate agent in Thame then Oliver at Martin & Co is the one to call. He paid careful attention to what we wanted and kept in constant touch with us. He was approachable and enthusiastic. As soon as he had found something for us, he got us there right away and even did a follow up viewing in the evening the same day! “Oliver really isn’t like the other estate agents you meet. He is enthusiastic, helpful and always prepared to go the extra mile. I registered with him to see if there was anything in Thame that was suitable for me and my partner. Ollie however; went as far to advise us about different locations, house prices and even provided us with information about houses we like that the agents the properties where listed with couldn’t. If you are looking to buy in Thame or anywhere in Oxfordshire then he is the person to call. I wish we had met him before we sold in Suffolk, because I would have asked him to do it instead!”...
