Me and my partner have been house hunting for a a few months and nothing was feeling right for what we wanted for our first home together, then I received a call from Connells regarding a property I had inquired about, and I spoke with someone ( iforgot his name now) but He was very professional and arranged a viewing for us, we were a bit nervous at first as we have been let down by the other viewings but they was confident they would find our first home.
We actually submitted our application the day after the viewing because we just had the feeling ‘when you know you know’ we couldnt let it go and we haven’t looked back. It was approved/ accepted a few days later.
From that point on, Connells was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, anyone who I spoke to was helpful and guided us through everything, and we never had to chase for updates they always kept us informed with the whole process from start to finish.
I Couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone, they really do go above and beyond for you. Thanks everyone at Connell’s kingswood :)

I first rang up the store and asked for a valuation on my property several months ago due to a divorce, I spoke to a gentleman called Leigh Williams, who was very helpful chap and then came over to the house and talked me through what options I had. This was a very difficult period and it was reassuring that I could trust this young man and he knew what he was talking about. I had two other agents came out who didn't want to know and was more bothered about telling me they were the cheapest! Several weeks past, and regularly Leigh would drop a text and email to see how I was doing and if I needed any help. I then after getting the house ready and de-cluttered put it on with Leigh and it sold to a lovely couple. Thank you for your help and support! Thoroughly would recommend.

My partner and I had been apartment hunting for months, applying for countless listings every day without much luck. None of the viewings felt quite right. Then I received a call from Connells regarding a property I had inquired about, and I spoke with Craig. He arranged a viewing for us, even though we were initially unsure, as the tenancy start date didn’t align perfectly with our moving plans. Still, we figured there was no harm in checking it out.
At the viewing, we met George. As soon as we stepped inside, we instantly felt the right energy and it just felt like home. We submitted our application and, within a few days, we were approved!
From that point on, George was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. He was always patient, responsive, and attentive to all our endless queries. We never had to chase up updates, everything was handled smoothly and professionally, which really set Connells apart from other agencies we had previously dealt with.
We’re genuinely so happy Connells was part of our renting journey, and we can’t recommend them enough. Thanks to Craig and George, we’ve found a place we truly love and can finally call home :)

Craig at Kingswood Connells has been absolutely amazing in assisting us with moving in and out of our rented house. During the yearly house inspections he has always been friendly and approachable and arranging times to visit that fit in with us. He has helped us tremendously when moving out, and we all know how stressful moving is! He returns calls promptly and generally gives you a feeling that he really cares about your current situation . I have dealt with many estate agents in Bristol over the last 10 years and this is 100% the best service.

From talking with friends it does seem difficult for anyone to find estate agents and solicitors they are happy with. Although individually the staff at Connells always seemed friendly and hard working I found the overall experience very poor.
Firstly, it was completely unclear at the start what Connells were charging for their services and took 3 meetings until they disclosed that figure.
Connells advertise they can provide a range of services from marketing the property, to mortgage services, to recommended solicitors and insurance products. However, the quality of services provided by Connells recommended partners was awful and I found out that they were often more expensive. It’s hard not to blame Connells for recommending and in some cases insisting we used these people.
Throughout our sale Connells often seemed the one least in the know. No one person ever knew how many viewings we had or what people thought. After offer acceptance they never knew the current status or what we needed to do to progress. They never chased people along without me first chasing Connells or offer any advice on how to resolve deadlocks. They did react when I complained and took action but I was disappointed that this was reactive & they took no proactive actions to move the process along, which was in start contract to other estate agents in the chain. They also lost a set of house keys.
At the end of our completion process we were told Connells had a “gift box” for us. The gift box was full of advertising leaflets and trial products (e.g toilet cleaner) which clearly Connells were paid to provide by partners. Getting that as a gift box was insulting and showed how little Connells appreciate their customers.

Connell’s was the best letting agency that I have dealt with in Bristol, and I have dealt with a few. Ours was a particularly difficult situation but Craig went over and above any assistance expected from an agent. And then David made the paperwork process easy. We felt like they cared that we got the home we were looking for and we definitely found it on the second try. We are very happy in our new home and would recommend them highly to anyone. You will not get a better personalised service.

I’ve recently purchased a property through Kingswood Connells, which was made to be a pain free process due to the support of the staff. A special thanks to Vandross, as a result of his quick action and insight we were able to secure a property that initially I believed was out of our scope. Throughout the process they were always available to be contacted and helped with driving delays.
If I ever find my self using Kingswood Connells again I would reconsider using the associated solicitor, due to limited communication and a lack of drive for progression. As this is not a service Connells directly provides I have not reflected this in the rating.

Kim and everyone at Connells were absolutely brilliant! My situation was quite complex , and Kim was so patient , helpful and professional despite multiple setbacks and complications . The team really did go above and beyond what would normally be required - and on top of this , they got me £10K over what every other estate agents were offering! We recently purchased our property through Connells in Kingswood and use them for our mortgage advisor too. The staff were all friendly and the team who answered the phone were very professional, polite and will always look to sort out your query. I would have given 5 stars however I would have liked our mortgage advisor to check-in with us about the process and if we were happy with the services Connells were providing as we paid for this but never actually heard from them apart from at the end when I contacted them about the Contents and Buildings insurance. Ibrahim Mashuk was brilliant during the whole purchase and I would say he is an asset to Connells!

of buying a house everything can seem quite daunting but dealing with connells has been reassuring from start to finish, especially after dealing with quite unhelpful estate agents and mortgage advisors previously. We dealt with Ibrahim when viewing the property we then went on to buy and he was very friendly, helpful and informative. Anything we needed he provided. He maintained constant and reliable contact throughout the process and due to us living far away was able to assist us with anything that could be done remotely to save us travelling to and from. I would recommend buyers and sellers to read this, we are clearly not the only ones to experience this. Connells are not reaching their full potential on viewings by hindering any offers from buyers who do not use their services.
We had a poor experience with Connell’s estate agent. Connells in Kingswood will make it extremely difficult to view most of their properties unless you sign up with their mortgage advisor beforehand. We had explained several times on many different occasions that we already have a mortgage advisor and will consider theirs if needed, yet every phone call we made and even at a viewing they still offered us their services, pushing for us to go with them despite stating we would maybe consider it in the future. They clearly have poor customer service as they do not listen to our wishes and focus on their commission only. They even had the cheek to tell us that our mortgage advisor would not have looked into our finances and would not have provided us with a mortgage in principle that we can ‘really’ afford, yet our mortgage advisor has already looked into our finances and has offered us a more realistic mortgage. Further to this, every time we stated we didn’t want to go ahead with their services, they turned really sour and wanted to hang the phone up very quickly!
Upon viewing a property and putting in an offer, they were terrible with communication and left us waiting around all day to take our offer when they stated they would ring us. We then contacted them ourselves and they stated they would ring us back when they were ready. They didn’t call us back until 1700hrs that day knowing full well we were on holiday awaiting their call. Once we had received this call and sent our over our mortgage in principle, the sales Manger was very undermining and claimed our mortgage in principle was not official. Thankfully, we spoke to our qualified mortgage advisor who confirmed the sales Manager does not know what they are talking about and clearly did not read our principle correctly. Fortunately, my partner and I are first time buyers with a network of other first time buyers in Bristol in which we will advise highly against getting involved with this estate agent in Kingswood.
The only good thing we can say about this estate agent is that Ibb was very professional and did a great job with our viewing.

A terrible estate agent. Out of all the ones I've contacted for a viewing, Connells in Kingswood are the only ones who will not give you a viewing unless you see their mortgage advisor beforehand. After 4 months of searching and countless of failed offers for £10k+ over asking price, we met Ibrahim for a 2nd time at a property viewing. He told us to come in to talk with their Home Buyers Service and in house mortgage adviser, Aniq. He said to us about how so many people have managed to secure their property through this and how it was really good.
We were skeptical at first, however were super in love with the property, so after 4 months of no luck we gave it a shot as had nothing to lose at this point.
After a meeting with Aniq 2 days after the viewing, he ran through all of our mortgage options and details, and he put in our offer to the seller on our behalf. We finally managed to secure a property, and it wasn’t for these ridiculous £10k+ over asking price either!

I recently sold my house through Connells and it felt that I did most of the work. They initially gave the impression that they were experienced, reliable estate agents, but I soon realised that they had serious problems communicating with their customers. Despite several viewings, they failed to offer me any feedback unless I went to their office - They didn't respond to emails and seemed to have 'issues; with their telephony system. I'm relieved that I won't have any contact with them ever again.

The worst experience we have ever had with an estate agent!!!!!!!!!!!
No communication at all, didn't get one phone call unless we complained or chased them. Didn't even get a call to say we had completed
They act like they are closing down, Bryn the manager was rude and unhelpful, acts like he's got an other job and can't be bothered! We have had good experiences at other branches

We were supposed to have a Valuation of our property last week, however they double booked... We understood these things happened so rearranged for today. Received no confirmation of this and have been trying to contact them for over 3 days to confirm a time but no answer or when we did get through to someone they had no idea what was going on!!! Finally spoke to them today and was told it wasn't put through at head office, so basically they messed up again!! Not happy and won't be rearranging, finding someone more competent to do it this time!!

The. WORST. ESTATE AGENTS i have ever worked with!
I have to say the Kingswood Branch in Bristol are being run by complete ameteurs who are only about making a quick buck.
I have bought and sold properties for over 10 years and Connells in Kingswood are by far the worst agency ever.
Firstly, they charged us to market our property promising a professional photographer as part of their 'marketing' package. No other agent charges you for this and unfortunately for us we were naive enough to go ahead as it was sold to us as a mandatory service if we wanted to be represented by them.
When this supposed 'professional' photographer did turn up he was anything but and the photos provided could have been done better on a smart phone.
We were then extremely overpriced and only had 1 viewer in the space of a month. With no feedback from the agency and no communication unless 'bugged' by us.
When they came around to take photos again (this time by one of their agents who did nothing different to the 'professional'), I aired my concerns of which I was promised a better service.
The house price was decreased however no viewers in the following month and again no communication from the agents.
They do nothing more than put your property up on the internet and sit back and then expect to be paid for it. An absolute joke! And then have the cheek to charge you for it.
Will never be using them again!

Going to view a flat Saturday got to be there at 12:00 in Yate and they didn't turn up called them 4 times and no answer from them absolute joke took time of work for that and I lost a days wages hope they are happy because I can a sure you I'm not happy at all ???????? and I wish there was a thing of no star rating because I would not even give one star ????

The agent that showed me around 2 properties on 2 separate occasions knew very little about the property e.g where the boiler is, what is the landlord responsible for, what is included in renting the property. He didn't even know that on the whole a listed building doesn't require an EPC certificate. And when I asked for a second viewing the agent said, " I can't do tomorrow, because I can't be bothered to drive all the way from Bristol to Chipping Sodbury just for 1 viewing!!

Unfortunately my experience with Connells, Kingswood Branch has not been a good one. Complete lack of communication all the way through, not been able to get hold of them or them not keeping me informed. They did not return calls efficiently to myself, my solicitors or my vendors agents and definitely not managing my first time buyers expectations, which has resulted in them backing me into a corner over completion dates, which has resulted in me having to pay early repayment charges for the sake of them not waiting 3 weeks. Although Im the one paying them it certainly did not feel like they were working for me. The office was understaffed, as during the process they lost the Branch Manager and Senior Negotiator, which I feel contributed to the issues. Not a good experience, I would not recommend using them.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Its been over a month now since my tenancy ended but still no news of my deposit being returned. Tired of constantly calling them most of the time they dont answer or they say they will call back but they dont. Previously when I have rented, other agencies have returned deposit on same day as end of tenancy, however due to lack of professionalism in connells I am still waiting for my deposit and am starting to think I will not be getting it back. Surprising especially when there was no dispute put in. Disgusting really.

I wish I could give a zero rating. After trusting Connells to fully manage my house for renting, the checks were either made up or never completed. The tenant who rented my house for 21 months, left it in such a state it cost £4000 to put everything right.
As soon as I entered the property with a Connells manager, from the kingswood office, all he could say was it wasn’t like this when I last checked 2 months previously.
What he didn’t know was that we had a new boiler installed 2 months previously, and the workmen were so concerned that the house was so dirty and unsafe, that they sent us photos.
The complaints procedure is even worse and nearly six months later we still haven’t had the curtesy of an email or phone call from the Bristol area manager.
All we receive is emails saying that they are very busy and we will receive notification of the complaint in another 10-15 days.
DO NOT TRUST CONNELLS WITH YOUR PROPERTY.

I cannot recommend Arran enough. He is the branch manager and he dealt with everything for me. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he acted upon every single request of mine. He knows the local market like nobody else!

Terrible customer service if you phone them and they say they will call you back it's lie they won't!!
I have also been sat in there office waiting to be seen and witnessed what they are like from the other end of the call. One member of there staff it seems to go out of her way to be particularly unhelpful and will shout out things to other members of staff to say instead of just giving the information asked for

Dreadful customer service. Rarely answer the phone & when they do, promise to ring back, endless cycle of disappointment. Despite 5 phone calls still no resolution or refund of deposit for a poorly managed let that never came to fruition. Avoid at all costs - mainly yours. Absolutely shocking Company.

They give the big talk, on how they can sell your house but, they're useless.
3 viewings in 6 weeks glad to say we left them and are now with a different vendor!
They don't return calls no communication between staff!
When we left them, we found out they were rude to a potential buyer, so they had to hang up the call!
Lucky they have spoken to are new helpful vendors, who have arranged a viewing with them.
Avoid this company at all costs 0 stars if it would let me

There should be a negative icon. Ridiculously poor service. In April 2016 we placed an offer, and were told 6-8 weeks to complete. In September we finally completed. The only communication I had was when I went in the branch, as no one bothered to return my phone calls. Currently, nearly a year later, they are still advertising my flat for sale! I've been in twice now to get it sorted, only to be fobbed off by them saying they are selling the flat above. Even though this flat isn't the one for sale- it's next door. All they care about is making money, not the customer. I will never be using Connells again.

Outstanding service. Professional, friendly and excellent ongoing communication throughout the sales process. Despite the fact my sale dragged on, Connells remained supportive and patient and kept me in the loop about what was happening. I could not have asked for more from an Estate Agent. I didnt get anywhere near the same service from the Solicitors dealing with my sale so the fact that Connells were so supportive was all the more important! Cannot recommend them enough.

We had some pretty bad experiences to begin with - like people turning up for viewings without them telling us, and at one point they lost our keys then tried to blame us! However throughout the course of our house being on the market they seemed to go through a complete change of staff and we've found the new people to be nothing but polite, professional and helpful. Let's hope they stick around! (Information correct as of December 2016)

Terrible communication with customers. Moved out 3 weeks ago and every time I phone in to get my deposit sorted out I just get "I'll get someone to phone you back"....no one does! The one day I got told what I needed to do (email them asking for the deposit), the person who I spoke to said they would email me so I would have their address...they never did. Had to email their main lettings email address in the end (2 days ago) and since then no communication. Useless!
Edit: It's now nearly 2 months after I moved out. Found out that because my landlord was actually in charge we had to agree and send in details of deductions for the deposit. Did that 3 weeks ago and still haven't received my deposit. Seems it isn't just the Connells branch that is terrible, it's the whole company! AVOID THEM!

Awful! We had a flat in Fishponds and was charged ridiculous fees when we moved in. Then whenever we needed stuff fixing in the flat they were never very helpful... We have now moved out and we were not even contacted at all about what to do just a letter 2 months before telling us we needed to be out! The flat has been left in good condition and the report confirms this and its a month after and still not received a deposit back which was £950!! I will never ever go with Connells again! Bad communication and so expensive! They also advised contracting who had to do work in our flat to collect the keys from them and then when the contractors got there they wouldn't give them the keys as they didn't have them labelled!

Terrible estate agents, advertised my flat in filton when it's in Bedminster, didn't tell me how all the viewings had gone, didn't return my calls, rang me repeatedly at work for confirmation of viewings which were already confirmed, then delayed viewings as I couldn't answer my phone, wouldn't return my keys, when I went to collect them were still advertising my flat as of they had let it in filton when it's not in filton and I had chosen another estate agent. Then couldn't find my key as it wasn't in the safe. Don't use them.
