After months of no progress with another estate agent, I was recommended Cooper Estate Agents. Honestly, I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment I made the switch, the difference was hugely clear. Within just two weeks they had arranged a viewing and secured an offer - and the property was sold!
The whole process was smooth and stress free, with excellent communication throughout. The team were professional, respectful, proactive, and genuinely cared about getting the best result. We have just sold our house through Cooper Estates. We would highly recommend the team. They have very broad experience of the home selling market. Matthew's valuation was very accurate, generating good amount of interest, with offer received within weeks of going to market. He was very professional during valuation and refeained from cheap selling tactics, something we particularly appreciated. Richard's decades of experience were invaluable when navigating complex issues. But it was Megan, who was the star of our show, from start to finish. She did an amazing job to present our family home, with great description. She was always polite and helpful, particularly when it came to legal process, associated with selling our home. Nothing was too much, when it came to moving the process along. We are certain that if it wasn't for Megan, we would still be in the process, rather than post completion, being legally naive, as we are.
We would also like to mention great photographer the agency uses. He was meticulous about setting each room, to bring the best out of it. We are positive, it made a difference to interest generated in our home.

Great Experience ! - just wanted to thank Matt, Richard and the team for what was a surprisingly relaxed but very quick sale. Assured by Matt on the first visit, I put my 'control-freak' self to one side and decided to trust their process completely. Independent agents - Working for us all the way- recommend completely - support and drive for all our chain
We took the unusual step of using Cooper Estates out of their normal local area because of their professional attitude and their drive to sell properties which comes as part of their independent status.
From the get-go, both agents knew our house and discussed developments with us, were fully informed and gave us regular updates and we had many viewings through our door.
Sadly, I experienced a different attitude with a national chain as a purchaser.
Ours was an unusual older property. Once sold subject to contract, the experience of the team came to the fore - and our agents became the goto person for the chain ???? and kept things moving for a two-month period before we finally completed and moved.
Amazing that even our purchaser said that Matthew and Richard made the whole process work and were the best for them to speak to... our purchasers' purchaser also was in contact with Coopers. They worked for all of us in the chain!
The process of buying and selling a house is for many people a rare event in life... good to have people alongside you who know and understand the business inside out.
We can wholeheartedly recommend this team.

I recently sold my house through Coopers Estate Agents and would recommend this agency. Matthew handled most of our sale, which was complex at times (initial buyer backed out a few weeks after the chain completed), then the market stalled with a change in government and interest rates never did come down as much as everyone hoped. From initial meeting (Matthew was bar far the most genuine / nicest estate agent of all those I met in Market Harborough) to completion was about 9 months in total, but given the price point and awful market conditions I think Coopers did a great job from start to finish (I could tell they genuinely liked our property and sold the house with passion). Our property was one of the higher valued ones in the area at the time, but we had a steady stream of interested buyers, indicating the price was right.... Some of the competition wanted to price the house 16% lower than the price we sold at. Speak to several agents and don't be taken in by some of the others who price low to sell quick (unless of course that is what you want). High turnover of properties may sound good when the agents come out to meet you, but it tells a story. If I ever return to Market Harborough I would definitely look to use Coopers again.

Extremely Disappointing Experience:
Our experience with Cooper Estates was deeply unsatisfactory, and we feel compelled to write this review for others considering their services. Over the 9 months it took to complete our property purchase, their lack of communication and professionalism was consistently disappointing.
From the outset, Cooper Estates rarely kept us updated unless they needed something from us. There was no proactive effort to guide us through the process, no reassurance during what was a challenging and drawn-out chain, and no courtesy or acknowledgment when we finally completed. In fact, it was Henderson Connellan in Market Harborough—our estate agents for the sale of our property, who handed over the keys to our new house, as we heard absolutely nothing from Cooper Estates who sold the property on behalf of their colleague.
After we emailed Richard, the partner, to express our disappointment, he immediately called and emailed, asking to discuss further and emphasising how detrimental a bad review would be to their business. Unfortunately, this only reinforced our impression that Cooper Estates prioritise their own interests over those of their clients. We declined the offer to speak, as it felt like too little, too late.
This level of service fell far below acceptable standards, especially given the premium price we paid for the property. When we moved in, there were issues that required significant time and effort to address.
Throughout this ordeal, we spoke to several others who had dealt with Cooper Estates, and not one of them had anything positive to say about their service. This makes it all the more difficult to reconcile our experience with some of the positive reviews on here.
By contrast, Henderson Connellan, who sold our property, provided exceptional service, highlighting just how far Cooper Estates falls short of what a professional estate agent should be.
If you’re considering Cooper Estates, we strongly recommend doing your own research, speaking to locals and making an informed decision.

We have just sold and completed the sale of our property in 10 weeks from start to finish (and that's literally 10 weeks from the day we instructed Coopers to the day we legally completed our sale). Amazing but true! Admittedly, not having a chain helped (just us and our buyer), but the speed of our sale was never the less massively helped by Coopers introducing the perfect buyer to our home, we had very pro-active solicitors involved and Coopers kept things moving by making sure everyone was regularly updated and focussed on the target completion date (thanks Matthew!). Over the past 15 years, we've moved several times within the Market Harborough area and always used Cooper Estates as our selling agent. We prefer Richard's straight talking and honest advice rather than the 'over pricing' and 'rose-tinted' approach that so many other agents seem to adopt to get your business. Anyone selling at the moment knows it's a tough market so we cannot thank Cooper Estates enough for yet another perfect selling experience.

My wife and I purchased a shared ownership home through Cooper Estates. A very stressful and odd thing to do, particularly if you're the sort of person who can't help but think of every conceivable detail when it comes to the legalities of a purchase.
Matthew was very knowledgeable about shared ownership, bit of a logistical and legal minefield if you're not used to it. There's a lot of regulations and industry requirements that don't apply to normal home purchases and Matthew was a kind guide through it all, ringing often to check we were ok and how things were going.
I was particularly impressed by his level of support considering we weren't his client, we were purchasing from his client.
Coopers certainly know their stuff and have been nothing but professional and kind throughout this whole experience.
I thoroughly recommend them.

RIchard and Cerys were both fantastic throughout the process of buying and selling through Cooper Estates. Their effectiveness transcended the competitive fees that they offered, it makes you wonder why you would pay significantly more for other estate agents in the area!
We were never left waiting and everything was taken care of, even when it was not expected of them. Secretly there must be an army of people helping in the background to keep on top of it all.
Also a big shout out to Paul who photographed the house. The pictures were really great and it made such a difference to our listing compared to some of the photos you normally see on listings. Be prepared for a workout making sure all of the shots are right!
Should we move again, we would definitely be using Cooper again and i would recommend anyone to consider them if you are moving home.

From the initial valuation (which was based around an open and honest assessment of what was achievable in the market), through to honest and frank feedback on viewings and the super communication and diligence of the sale expeditor, the whole process has been amazingly smooth. As a long established and local agent, their knowledge of the local market and their relationships with local law firms is first class, greatly helping with the management of the chain below us.
Key to the success is their fantastic communication, with calls and messages answered very quickly, and their total empathy for the stresses and strains that we naturally feel in trying to complete such a significant transaction.
Above all, all of our dealings have been handled in a totally professional manner but with warmth and good humour throughout.

Very disappointed. Viewed a property and was advised to call in and “express an interest”, so I could be kept in touch with developments. Property now sold subject to contract but they never contacted me, apart from emailing every property that came on their books in spite of me asking them not to! I believe they have achieved a lower price for the vendor than I would have paid. Stay well clear!

What a gem of an estate agent. Being involved in a very complicated and drawn out purchase of a listed building, the sale would never have seen the light of day had it not been the help and amenability of the staff, namely Richard. He liaised constantly with me (even when my solicitor was not returning calls or passing on messages); fielding calls when out of the office and on holiday; making suggestions about how to get over impasses; going above and beyond. This is a trait that is a luxury and not a commodity these days. We finally completed after 10 months and I could not be happier. If there was scope to mark them higher, I would do! A template of what good customer service and relations should look like

They carried out all viewings at a time to suit me and liaised with my buyers after the property was sold. I felt that I was kept informed throughout the whole process.
