Terribly upset with the attitude of agents. As a genuine buyer, the expectation to a Property have set to the peak and asking rate is more than 15% of the Home report, which would be £70000 out of the pocket, who gives you that for a 3bed property. Whatever so called school catchment be, At this market, inflation, mortgage situation, still they set the properties more than unimaginable. Be Sensible and Be Responsible. Viewed a property last week decided on Monday 21st October to put a offer in got the usual need to speak to the vendor who needs to speak to the family and so on and so on I said just forget it I'm retracting the offer then on Thursday 24th got a call to say am I still interested I said maybe but I'm only giving you the same offer as Monday and I'm not instructing a solicitor you accept my offer and we will go legal tomorrow so verbal agreed then today Friday formal offer sent but with the side letter that if successful my wife would like to view again as we were rushed when we first viewed (it was like a open house) was told vendor said no and there accepting another offer obviously we were used to push someone else to offer this I may add is not the first time Corum Ayr rd Newton mearns has done this to us that was why I was a bit hesitant to waste my time and money to offer so BE careful when you are putting an offer in with them I called to speak to someone but they didn't answer so I've left a message to remove me from their mailing list and Don't phone me again REMEMBER YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED... Had our first experience with this branch - poor viewing of a £700k + property. Disinterested; not welcoming; made us pretty much wait 20mins as last viewer was apparently late; volunteered very little information and stood planted in the kitchen while we had to show ourselves around. Having dealt with Corum Shawlands on many occasion I wrongly assumed that all their branches worked to the same high standards- unfortunately they don’t. The worst part was that the viewing was conducted by a branch partner so I’m not surprised at some of the other negative reviews here - organisational culture is set from the top down. We’re now looking at a property in a different area. I wonder how the owners of this property in Giffnock would feel if they knew that as serious cash buyers we’d been turned off the property by this Corum branch.... Read more

I have just bought a house through this branch of estate agents ,and sadly unlike their sister branch at ShawLands the staff I found were arrogant , unhelpful , and at one point I felt they tried to bully me . When I first started my transaction I was dealing with a lady called Tracy who was a absolute gem , then sadly she was no longer there and I had to deal with Mark , Joyce . These two have ruined my experience with Corum as a company and I will never deal with the Newton Mearns branch and would never reccomend them to any one .... Read more
