Booked a viewing with these guys, had two confirmation emails, travelled 40 minutes in rush hour traffic for nobody to turn up. When I contacted the office, apparently it wasn’t in the diary. Checked online to find the property SSTC. These guys are liars, beware anyone buying from these people. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Unprofessional & disappointing service.
Arranged for a valuation & decided to get my house on the market with Crown as it all sounded positive. I called into the local branch & dropped off my keys so they could do my viewings.
Two weeks later I’d heard nothing from them so I rang them & they were almost surprised & didn’t have any details regarding my property.
No appologies, just explained they would send out the paperwork for me to sign.
It never arrived. I arranged to collect my keys from the branch & they asked why!!!!
Almost 3 weeks wasted.
Absolutely useless company and quite shocking really how bad customer service was.
I’ve since put my house up for sale with another company who are doing an amazing job.

We put a starting offer on a house in Ryhill sent all the necessary documents got an email to say they had sent an email to the vendor
Telephoned them following Monday to be told she had received an email from the vendor to remove the the property off the market no more viewing’s no more offers
To find out today the property was sold subject to contract
We have not received any communication to say it was back on the market or we’d even been out bidded like Rhonda said she would do

Prime example of turd polishers, no mention of the mould on the ceiling in the bathroom during one of the viewings. When the woman showing us the house was asked a question, she buckled and could not answer a single one. They promised to get back in touch with us after regarding a couple lettings and we never heard a word while the lettings we we're interested in were given away. Please avoid and don't bother wasting your time

Happened at the Castleford branch but I can see that chris is also rude to other members of the public went in to ask him if he could ring a taxi really grumpy and rang one with attitude and then when I went back in because I was stranded in a different city he was just like you will just have to go and wait for it then completely heartless could of froze should be sacked I hope he is soon.

Terrible estate agent. We bought a house through them and just after we moved in the alarm started going off. I have an autistic daughter who is very sound sensitive so it was a nightmare. We were not given a code for the alarm. I rang Chris multiple times but was ignored or my calls were cancelled. He then turned off his phone and didn’t reply. This was not the only thing either. Avoid this place

Despite having a monthly income of nearly 7 times the rental price, able to provide references and financial standing I was still asked to provide a home owner guarantee. Thoroughly disgusted.

Really disappointed in their service. I contacted as a landlord with a property to let out as they had an identical property up and claimed they had a list of interested applicants that would be very interested in mine.
They said they couldn't deal with my query immediately but that someone would call me first thing Monday. I never heard from them.
If they treat prospective tenants in the same way I think the chances are you'd lose decent applicants just though poor communication. Would not trust these guys to pass the right messages on at the right point in time. (Basically their main job)

Initially rented a property using Crown as the agent. They found a tenant within an hour of going live, which was excellent. The tenants are great, so Crown earn their single star for this.
The tenants move in was delayed (through no fault of their own), and I only found out the day before they were originally meant to move in when I phoned Crown to find out when/where they wanted the key dropped off. The tenants also never received a copy of the tenancy agreement.
I received 3 rent payments from Crown, 2 of which were late and one of which (the first one) was wrong. When I questioned the incorrect one there was a period of denial before realising I had worked out how much I should receive. They then tried to charge me an additional admin fee to rectify their mistake. Along with this, I received every invoice late, and on one occasion only because I called repeatedly to tell them I hadn’t received it at all. The tenants also asked Crown to ask permission for certain alterations which Crown did not forward on to me. The turnover of staff is staggering, and very unprofessional when you call the office and leave a message for someone who no longer works there, and to not be told.
I cancelled my contract 3 months in and moved to a new estate agent who has so far been flawless.
I would be curious to know how many of the 5 star review have been left by current/past employees of the company. I have spotted at least one.

I can't speak highly enough of Chris and the team at Crown. They were the agents for the vendors of the house we've recently bought and the service we received was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. Questions were answered swiftly and efficiently, even the 'oh no iI feel like i'm being a pest again' type! The staff in the office were friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. They always had their finger on the button and dealt with the purchase documentation really quickly and us really professionally. Booked a viewing for a house since I've been trying to move for months to be close to my poorly mum. Had to take half a day from work, which also meant others had to cover me at work. Get to the viewing and apparently it was cancelled. They never contacted me to tell me it was cancelled. I guess I was just supposed to know?! Absolutely fuming.
