We are super happy with whole service that D&G provided. The whole process was professional and friendly throughout, Alice went above and beyond to get our sale across the line. We had many stresses during our sale but Alice was always positive and proactive, I can't recommend these guys enough. I would definitely recommend D&G. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been super helpful and if you ‘re fortunate enough to get Alice looking after your property, you’re in luck. Alice has been a great help with the sale of my flat. She’s always available and quick to reply. I don’t live close to the property I’m selling and she’s gone above and beyond - helping to get rid of my sofa and arranging for various tradesmen to gain access when I’m unable to be there. For a big company they still give a great personal service…

I was fortunate to deal with Archibald Blyth, who I consider to be an unrivaled professional.
He was always attentive to my needs, professional but without losing that touch of humor that characterizes him.
Looking for new properties can be a very stressful process but he made it a not only satisfying but fun experience.

My partner and I have had a fantastic experience with Archie, James, and Jess at Douglas & Gordon in Southfields. After I outlined what we were looking for, Archie was immensely helpful in providing us with links of flats that might appeal to us and checked in with us to see how we were feeling in our search. When a prime flat came on the market, Archie made sure to get us in quickly for a viewing, and along with Jess talked us through the whole process from offer to acceptance.

As a first time buyer l was very apprehensive about the whole conveyancing process so l tentatively rang up to test the waters. The property l was interested in was in Southfields, so l got the number and rang them. I was greeted by a very cheerful and polite negotiator called Alice Oaten. I explained my situation and my personal challenges understanding how things worked but she was the consummate professional, reassuring me every step of the way with an easy manner and exemplary attention to detail. What is so remarkable about Alice is even on our first meeting she created such a beautiful relaxed environment in order for me to express myself and allowed me to be open and be honest about all the reservations l had previously. Within 5 minutes, it was like you were catching up with an old friend and l was at total ease with the whole process. Alice is a shining beacon within an industry that gets a lot of flack and for someone like myself who was so nervous at the thought of even entering into an estate agency because of the reputation they have, she was perfect for me. Her real super power is her genuine warmth and sincerity as you don’t even feel as if you are in the process of buying a property but are having a casual catch up with a long lost friend. I was totally bowled over by her all round ability and in such tough times for us all, it is so refreshing to meet someone who genuinely is motivated and passionate to really help the buyer and to decipher any challenges with minimum fuss. To say l was impressed would be understatement, and l can only applaud and say thank you Alice.

We couldn’t recommend D&G and especially Reece enough. He was an absolute pleasure to work with from day 1, he genuinely cared about us securing our home and went over and above to help us do this by giving us a real personal service by providing regular updates. We had to do a virtual viewing which he helped us do and then also accommodated a follow up Sunday viewing on his day off. I had a great experience with Douglas & Gordon in particular with the agent Reece Henderson. I have been in contact with him with regards to 2 properties recently and he has always been more than helpful and very quick in answering, which is very appreciated and unusual considering the current busy market today. He really went extra mile with us by showing one of this properties and explaining all possible solutions and ideas for a different flat’s layout, highlighting all benefits in an honest way.
I had quite bad experience with other agents in the same area recently and I could notice a huge difference with Reece.

It's always difficult to figure out which estate agent to go with when youre selling. It feels like a little bit of a gamble! The fee with D&G is slightly higher but most definitely worth it. Definitely the best agents I have used. Our experience with the team here was excellent from the first meeting. Jack, the sales manager, was speedy, honest and informative. He helped us decide what to do after being stuck without many viewings with other agents.
Once we got them on board things changed for the better and we were getting good quality viewings. Special thanks to Seamus, one of the sales negotiators, who gave us feedback on viewings almost immediately after and then kept us updated.

Rosa helped move us along with our property search, getting us in to see a property that suited our brief as soon as it went on the market, came prepared to the viewing with all the facts and figures and gave us useful insight into what the seller's position was and their motivation to move.
Myself and my partner both said that Rosa, along with Jack from D&G Southfields, were the most upbeat and professional agents that showed us a house during our search. Always on time, detailed follow up information was provided and they looked genuinely excited by the property they had to show us which was in stark contrast to most of the other Estate Agents firms who had showed us other properties who just opened the door let us walk around and didn't contribute much to the viewing at all.
We decided on a different location in the end so didn't proceed with the flat but would highly recommend viewings and working with Rosa and Jack to find a property if you're looking in their area.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Douglas & Gordon team. We purchased a property via the Southfields office and found the experience a pleasure from start to finish.
Rosa, who showed us the property, was by far the best agent we came across during our search (and we met a lot). Knowledgeable about the property whilst maintaining just the right level of involved vs giving us room to explore.
Jack who managed the sales process was a calming influence during a slightly tumultuous transaction. Helping us navigate issues further down the chain, Jack ensured that the purchase element progressed smoothly.

After arriving in London a little over 4 years ago we have had the pleasure of working with D&G Southfields 3 times now. From having found and rented our first London home to then buying our first home through D&G we have recently been in contact with them again in regard to the rental of our property as we now relocate overseas once again. The team at D&G Southfields have always been welcoming, professional, friendly and understanding of our needs and particular situation which is also why we have returned to them time and again. This last occasion we have had the pleasure to meet and work with James Philips who has been exceptional in providing guidance through the process to rent our home and especially given the new challenges posed by Covid-19 and its "new normal" impact. What a fantastic experience with Douglas and Gordon. We initially spoke with James about our search for a new home in London who was incredibly helpful in pointing us in the right direction to find the perfect place. He also put us in touch with Jess our estate agent who was absolutely brilliant. She located numerous properties within a week that fitted our needs perfectly, and was able to book us in for multiple viewings all whilst being super supportive, helpful and friendly. We had our eyes set on a specific property, and Jessica recognised the importance to us & was extremely supportive in assisting us through the entire process. She made it feel like a team effort! The staff at D and G (particularly Jack Edington) are passionate about providing the best possible service, making the otherwise tricky process of buying/selling a property, feel manageable. Because of the good communication and strong relationships they work so hard to build on, the stress of the situation is reduced. My ‘sale’ took longer than the average time (due to other circumstances) but Jack worked hard to ensure all parties were doing as they should - I have no doubt that the process would have taken longer if it wasn’t for him.

Jack and Rosa were so helpful on our first ever property search! Really honest, clear and concise in their information delivery - not an ounce of disingenuousness at all and always felt that they were on our side / out for our best interests. I loved that they showed us our future property off plan too where others had shown us show homes. We fell in love with a building site - but it’s because they knew the things about it that could get people excited. Jack dealt with the sale of our property after we had received very poor service from two previous agents (one high street and one online). Jack was extremely proactive and arranged more viewings in two weeks than either of the agents had in almost a year! He was always friendly, informative, and punctual, and presented our property in the best light possible. From viewing to exchange, he has been on the ball and communicative, without being pushy or demanding. Excellent service from start to finish. I dealt with Alex Dowding in relation to renting our house in Southfields. I contacted four agents and met them all at our home. Alex stood out as highly professional and very much in touch with his market. He has worked in Southfields for quite some time and built up an excellent list of clients and contacts. He takes a long term view in relation to fees and I liked this. I felt our interests were aligned and he'd take good care of things during the period of the rental. It was a very easy decision for me to instruct him. His colleagues were also very good and all came to inspect the property prior to it going on the market. I liked them all. They were very joined up and one of his colleagues found a tenant for us the day before we officially put the property on the market. I had a lot of questions about the tenant along with many other matters and Alex professionally answered them all and provided me with great clarity to satisfy me at every turn. In the end we did not go through with the letting because at the last minute we were not going to move. However, if we do ever move I will be contacting Alex again. I would have no hesitation in promoting him to anyone who needs a letting agent.

I used D&G to sell my house in probably the most difficult market in decades. They sold my house where three other agents failed and did a great job. Nick (my main contact) was always communicative and available to speak to me even just to calm my nerves. Jack (another agent in the office who would help me when Nick wasn't around) was always friendly and helped where he could. He always knew who I was and did his best to sort out my issues/worries/requests. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Jack was really helpful with our search and was brilliant at his job. Although we put in an offer through another person, I would definitely recommend Jack and Douglas & Gordon for their professionalism. What really stands out is that he paid attention to our needs & requirements. He gauged from the 1st few viewings what we really liked / disliked, etc! As most first time buyers, this isn't very clear! And with the second set of viewing he showed us flats & houses just as we'd expect. He didn't waste any time and oh, he is super entertaining! They are by far the best letting agent I have ever dealt with, and I cannot speak highly enough of their service. They do all the essentials very well, but then they add extra. We had a horrible problem with our house last year - they supported us through it and constantly offered excellent advice. The whole team are lovely to deal with and Alex in particular has been a complete star - sensible, practical, pro-active and highly organised. I particularly appreciate his advice on simple things like which paints and carpets will best help to get a property rented. Suffice to say that when our property went back on the market it was let within days. As I said, I can't speak highly enough of this brilliant team.

Time and again, without fail, they have rapidly found new and excellent tenants and minimised any fear we may have had about having the flat empty. I totally trust him, and his team and cannot recommend them highly enough. We recently sold our terraced house in Longfield Street through Maddie Miller (The Manager of the Office) at Douglas & Gordon. She was very impressive at all stages, including the valuation at the start. However, for reasons that didn't turn out to be valid, we appointed another agent in Southfields for a month and they produced no buyer and kept saying it was overvalued even though they had agreed the sale price with us in the first place. As soon as we appointed D & G things started to move, and before they could even produce the details for distribution in less than a week they had found a buyer who not only came up with the asking price, but went above to get the house off the market for a limited time. Sensibly Maddie had spread the property to the Putney office of D & G and it was by this means that the buyer was found. When Maddie had a week's holiday during the sale's progress, we were looked after well by Isabella Vevers. Before I retired I was the Head of two London estate agent offices (part of a highly respected Company), and I can honestly say Maddie and her office could not be faulted.
