Farrell Hayward has just sold our property in Bowgreave. We had three local estate agents quote us before deciding. FH where very strong on pricing our property correctly ( some other provided much lower estimations, presumably to get a quick sale) . We had good interest right from the start and sold our property at a good price in only a matter of weeks.
On the not so good side, FH where often difficult to contact ( however FH where very quick to contact us when things needed to be discussed , which we liked) and sometimes we where left to show prospective buyers around ourselves as agents where not always available ( FH offers to reschedule every time this happend).
Also FH try to persuade you to use there own solicitors sighting speed and convenience, we started with this but quickly realised it was not for us and went with our local firm who actually where cheaper and much more personal.
Overall FH did a great job, Liam in particular is a great asset and is helpful and enthusiastic particularly when showing folks around. FH are not the cheapest in town but there sold our property quickly and very near to the asking price. We would use them again if we where to move again.

It is rare that I write a review. In fact, I only do so when an organisation or person has gone 'above and beyond'. This is most definitely the case in repect of Farrell Heyworth Garstang, and most especially their Sales Progressor, Alison Whiteside. The sale of an apartment in which I was exercising Power of Attorney hit some significant bumps in the road - not of Alison / Farrell Heyworths making. But significant enough to cause extreme worry at my end and delay in the sale - Alison was just superb in 'holding my hand' through the turbulence, giving timely, pertinent and wise advice at each turn. In short, Alison owned the sale and dealt superbly with all parties, keeping me constantly informed. I honestly don't think I could have managed the difficulties without her support. She was the combination of a bloodhound and a diplomat, on the scent 24/7 it seemed and guiding me with the patince and sensitivity of a seasoned Ambassador. She is a credit to Farrell Heyworth Garstang, and I am grateful to them for her service and to Alison for everything. She deserves more than praise, but the chocolates will have to wait! Will leave a general review for Farrell Heyworth in due course but did want to personally mention Alison Whiteside, Sales Progressor for Farrell Heyworth.
Alison has been incredible throughout the process of selling my property. People mention about going that one step extra and that is Alison but not just a step, she has leaped mountains and moved heaven and earth for not just me but also for my 75 year old mother. Without Alison's input I'm not sure how we would have coped. I'll run out of superlatives but she is amazing, dedicated, responsive, generally cares' for her clients. I have been calling for a week now to try and view a property and the phone has never been answered and without an answerphone you can’t leave a message. I have sent an enquiry via RightMove and no response there either.
How do they expect to sell your house for you if no one can arrange a viewing with them? Absolutely terrible

The team at Farrell Heyworth Garstang marketed and sold our house. Throughout the sale process, the team kept us informed of viewings, feedback, and helped to negotiate on our behalf with prospective buyers. During the conveyancing process, Janet Robinson was invaluable in keeping ourselves and the buyers informed. Janet was always very helpful, replied to queries immediately, and kept everyone in the loop.
I doubt that the sale would have completed in a timely manner had it not been for Janet keeping her finger on the pulse. Until this sale, I hadn't realised just how important it is to have an experienced agent working for you during the conveyancing process. If the sale process was an orchestra, Janet would be the conductor!!
This was the second house that Farrell Heyworth Garstang have sold for me, (Janet was also involved in the previous sale 10 years ago), and I would highly recommend using them to market and sell your property.

Did they sell our house? Yes.
Did they "get the best price possible" as promised? No, they had no involvement in this.
They didn't keep in touch (didn't call us for 2 months after an offer) didn't follow up, didn't help us exchange.
Many other people we've spoken to have said how their estate agent helped chase the solicitors, and went over and above. We absolutely cannot say that FH went above and beyond. We even had to pull one of the agents off the sale due to issues. Ultimately they'll sell your house and will do what you need but expect to do all of the chasing and they'll take thousands.
We had this conversation with Gareth when exchanging and advised we felt let down, he did not take the feedback well and really couldn't care less unfortunately.
I wouldn't say don't use them, but know you'll be paying a lot for minimal work.
As an example to the above, we had to contact FH the day before completion to ask what the plan was, they hadn't called/emailed and totally left us in the dark.
FAO: Jeremy. Did you not read my review?? We are not dissatisfied with the time it took to sell our house, that wasn't my point at all. If you can't be bothered to address my actual points then there's no hope.
