Very happy with my experience of selling my property through Gibson Honey in 2024. Kevin’s valuation was honest and accurate and his advice was clear and useful; advice that he was happy to pass on even if I hadn’t chosen Gibson Honey to act on my behalf.
Viewings were conducted in a timely manner and the app made it really easy to keep up to date with progress.
Once the offer was accepted, Wendy was an absolute star as the sale progressed, working as a contact with the solicitors on both sides and keeping the whole thing moving along in good time, possibly saving several weeks in time to completion.

I chose Gibson Honey to sell my mother's house in preference to to 2 other well known local estate agents partly because his valuation seemed the most realistic (it wasn't the highest) and Kevin had an excellent local knowledge of properties and the market. I had also been advised by an estate agent in another town of 'things to look out for' when choosing an agency. Gibson Honey seemed independent and embedded in the community with a strong local presence, even though they aren't the biggest local agency. I was very impressed by the effort put into marketing my mum's house and the feedback I was getting from Tommy and colleagues.
The house did take a long time to sell, but I could see from the feedback and national and local trends that this wasn't the fault of Gibson Honey. Kevin's advice about marketing and pricing was honest and I think price reductions would have been inevitable. The purchaser's complicated financial and communication arrangements didn't help.

I did not have a great experience with Gibson Honey, unlike the positive comments I’ve seen about this agency. I had initially enquired about viewing a property we were very keen to see and received an immediate response, which was promising. The agency suggested combining my viewing with another timeslot the next day, and I agreed, even taking a half-day off work to accommodate this.
Unfortunately, the next day, I received no follow-up communication from the agency. I had to call their hotline myself, only to find out that the viewing had been canceled by the landlord because the house was not ready. This lack of communication was disappointing, as no one informed me of the cancellation beforehand, leaving me with wasted time and effort.
The agency assured me that the viewing would be rearranged for the following week, but I have yet to receive any updates despite emailing to follow up. To add to my frustration, I discovered today on Rightmove that the property is now off the market. A simple message notifying me that the property was no longer available would have been greatly appreciated.
This experience reflects poor communication and a lack of consideration for clients’ time. I hope this feedback helps improve your service in the future.
