I cannot recommend Liam and his team enough. Although I had an idea of what I wanted for my wedding ring, which did not seem much out of the ordinary, I was finding it difficult to find what I wanted in the usual places. eventually I found Liam's website and an example of what I had been thinking about already present. I was then able to book a one to one session to go over size and material as well as costs and timings at short notice (between lockdowns). This was followed up by another individual sit down with the team to ensure I was happy with the ring as it was being made to order for me. I was allowed see the digital mock-up, select the materials and everything else you might want. I was given advice on what combinations would work, how to care for the material and everything was carried out in a highly professional manner.... Read more

Liam is very approachable and was very patient with my husband and I whilst we considered our options. I purchased a beautifully made bespoke ladies yellow gold signet ring from Liam Ross jewellers and I would highly recommend this small independent business. I was very impressed with the friendly relaxed service I experienced in store and was kept up to date with the progress every step of the way until collection. I later returned to request the size of my ring be adjusted and Liam quickly did this for me happily and without any fuss on the same afternoon. Liam and his team offer an exceptional level of service. My wife and I visited the store to look for wedding bands; there was nothing Liam couldn't offer us and his knowledge of the different styles, fit and diamonds was amazing. All the rings are made onsite which was great as we wanted to source them as locally as possible. They were also able to offer lab diamonds which was a big selling point for us. A great experience at this independent jewellers. I had very specific requirements as I needed a hinged ring to accommodate my arthritic joints. Googling suggested that Liam Ross was one of the few jewellers who used this technology. The service was great - from in shop consultation and fitting to emails and pictures - despite all the Covid issues. My ring - a second wedding ring is beautiful with diamonds and fits perfectly - I love it. My husband's wedding band is also lovely. We were also pleasantly surprised by the costs. I found the service to be very personal, friendly and professional. I went in with a rough idea of what kind of ring I wanted and from there Caryn was able to show me different examples of stones, bands and settings within my budget, and worked with me to design it exactly how I wanted. They even made the band narrower at my request. I highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t want to just buy something off of a shelf and wants to find the perfect ring within their budget. I had an idea to have the three diamonds from my mother’s engagement ring incorporated into a piece of jewellery. I decided on a bangle and I knew that Liam Ross would be the jeweller with the expertise to undertake the design and making of such a piece. The bangle was duly designed and made up in white gold, inset with the diamonds. I am absolutely delighted with the finished bangle and shall take great delight in wearing it in memory of my mother. Liam and the team designed and made my engagement ring and I cannot recommend them enough! The whole team are incredibly professional, responsive and patient with my many design changes and tweaks. They were really helpful in offering suggestions, listening to my ideas and providing professional advice in choosing the right diamond etc. The 3D printing was invaluable in the process, and it was so amazing to go from idea to picture to wax model to the real thing. They made the process (which can be very overwhelming) easy and exciting, and really added a personal touch to the whole thing. Liam is a creative genius. After extensive research on bespoke jewelry makers in Edinburgh, I liked the samples Liam had and booked in. I couldn't be happier with the end result of my engagement ring! I frequently expect the impossible but Liam came up with brilliant alternatives I liked even more. He sourced the most stunning salt and pepper diamond and beautiful teal sapphires and I can't stop looking at it to this day. I would trust him making any piece you can think of with patience and creative flair to boot. He stayed within our budget and even came in under, so you know he just wants you to have the piece you dream of. He met our deadline request and we did not give an easy time frame. I'm loving my bespoke princess cut half-eternity ring. I wanted an eternity ring that would resemble my wedding band with beading around the band, and Liam came through with my request. I'm very happy with the result, and have received many compliments on my ring. I appreciate the service by Liam Ross and the quality of his products. Both myself and my family members have had several pieces of bespoke jewellery made Liam. His jewellery is beautiful, unique and loving created. The friendliness, help and reassurance at every stop of the process is second to none. Most recently, my fiance and I have had our wedding rings made by Liam. Living in London, we were curious how this could work, but Liam and his team made it so easy for us to complete the ring sizing and trying on samples sent to us at home in London! I highly recommend Jewellery by Liam Ross, they were super friendly, efficient and designed an amazing engagement ring within my budget which incorporated diamonds from my grandmothers ring along with new diamonds. I went to Jewellery by Liam Ross after reading lots of wonderful recommendations, they were all spot on. From the start Jen was really helpful and friendly. My engagement ring and wedding band were too big and due to the design couldn’t be made smaller. Instead I had them re-made using the original diamonds in. Bradley was amazing from start to finish in designing our engagement ring. The ring is incredible and beautifully crafted, thank you to all the team! The experience: With his help we chose the 'best bits' from each ring my fiancé tried on in store. We never felt any pressure from Bradley to go more expensive, he listened to our preferences and advised accordingly. The designs were sent across to us and we chose our favourite, going back in to store for a second time to try on the mocked up ring. This time we were asked to chose our own diamond. Having never done this before, Bradley gave us some guidance but left us to decide on our own, again without any pressure. This was then placed into the mocked up ring so we could see how it would look, which was a lovely touch! I have just got married and I am so delighted to wear my custom made wedding band. Liam, Brad and the rest of his team were wonderful to deal with from start to end. Our request to have our rings based on Douglas Fir bark was taken on by Liam with ease and he produced the rings in wax so we were able to see how the texture would look. At no point did we feel pressured into any extras or upgrades and we always got an appointment with Liam within the week. He also provided some lovely extras like cleaning my engagement ring. Being able to come in and try wax models of the designs before the ring is made is so useful. From start to finish the service received from Liam Ross and the team has been absolutely spot on. You really could not ask for anything more from an amazing goldsmiths. I was an awkward customer getting my late fathers 22k gold signet ring melted down for my wedding ring. However I had my heart set on a white gold ring. I was told by other jewellers that it was not possible and one even said "sorry but im not a magician!". Well... I guess that makes Liam and the team all magicians! After a few months of waiting, finally I got an email for it being ready. Liam and the team kept me up to date and very well informed of the progress and stages. Also I was extremely surprised at the colour of the ring. Liam asked if i wanted it rhodium plated or not. I decided not to do it as I was intrigued to see the champagne colour ring. Much to my surprise it was much whiter than I expected and have decided to not to rhodium plate it as it was definitely not needed (in my opinion of course, all to personal taste), and loved the colour. Picked up our wedding rings last week and we are so happy with them! After visiting a few jewellery shops we realised I was going to have to have a ring designed to fit my engagement ring. We visited a few designers but Liam Ross made us feel most comfortable and made computer designs before we had even paid a deposit so we could see exactly what it was going to look like before it was made. What an excellent experience. I went in to see Liam with an idea for a bespoke engagement ring. It was a design I’d seen on a website for a jeweller in California but I was worried about buying from a distance. Liam was able to match the design almost exactly using CAD which showed photo quality images of the design and then created a 3D printed version to see how the diamonds looked in it. Being well organised I toured every jewelry shop in the center of Edinburgh and I do mean everyone from chains to local well known names on George St. and Rose St and I even went to antique dealers in the west end. When I accepted that not only were my wedding ring and engagement ring too small, but that my taste had changed since the seventies, I consulted Liam about redesigning them. I came away from the consultation walking on air....he was not just polite, he was interested and enthusiastic, he helped me to clarify my rather vague intentions (wider, more swirly!) . He came up with a design and later a wax model, and the finished result was ready well within the agreed time frame, and budget. I particularly appreciated that I never had to chase him up! He has made me a ring which has all the sentiment...and the original materials....of my old rings, but also incorporates new stones which represent our family. I absolutely love it. Absolutely fantstic service. Liam made the engagement ring I gave to my fiance. It was perfect. From first contact Liam made every effort to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. We met a couple of times to get the design right, he responded quickly to all my emails. In the end he even pushed forward the schedule for the ring so I could have it a week early. The craftsmanship was beautiful. Liam talked me through everything I needed to know about picking a diamond. I asked Liam and his team to commission a ring for me earlier this year.Using some diamonds from two rings and replacing the rest with new Liam transformed my idea into a magical heart diamond ring that I love to wear and will treasure forever. I have now asked Liam to create another masterpiece and cannot wait to see the design, the design is initially drawn up then made up in 3 d just in case you want anything altered.
