TLDR: I have moved out over two months ago and still haven't received my deposit and overpaid rent. Avoid.
Countless emails from my landlord and I have gone unanswered.
The only way I have gotten any response from them is by calling, which usually leads to one or two email replies before they go back to ignoring you.
Other times I have called but the person I wanted to talk to wasn't available, so I was told I'd get a call back which didn't happen.
Today I was told on the phone that I would receive my deposit and overpaid rent by the end of the day. Also didn't happen.
This went on for some time, and finally after another phone call, all of the sudden they managed to give me my deposit the same day.... Read more

If it were possible to give no stars I would.
This company is dishonest, incompetent and unprofessional. They charge for services that aren't provided, the work they do carry out (which is rare) is defective, they rarely respond to emails or calls. The standard of our building hugely dropped while they managed it. Fortunately we have now managed to get rid of them by buying the freehold.
I cannot stress enough that you should avoid Goodsir at all costs.... Read more

WORST MANAGEMENT COMPANY YOU COULD EVER GET. THE LIST OF THEIR INCOMPETENCY IS ENDLESS. THEY DON’T FOLLOW UP ON ANYTHING IMPORTANT FOR YOUR BUILDING, NOR DO THEY LISTEN TO ANYONE AS THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU, THE ONLY THING THEY WANT IS TO GET MORE MONEY FROM EVERYONE WITH NO REASON. OUR BUILDING WENT DOWNGRADE AFTER THEIR CARELESS MANAGEMENT.... Read more

This is the worse management company and totally agree with the negative reviews below. They do not respond to queries, they pick and choose what they wish to provide a response to, very rarely, and they do not follow through on any procedures. There isn't any way to get your complaints dealt with and they do not provide any actual service to tenants. They provide a very baseline service and the rest has to be chased up on a regular basis and then they over charge for any requests made. There is no factual evidence to support their charging structure and they do not provide information when requested. Contact is minimal and they are quick to point out breaches when they have made many breaches themselves.... Read more

Absolutely avoid being a tenant with these people at all costs. Nothing ever got fixed whenever I reported any issues, and they rarely ever answered any emails.
The worst being - after agreeing to a somewhat tenuous cleaning fee being taken off my deposit (so that I can move on with my life), they completely cut out communication. After many attempts of contacting them, including officially asking for my deposit back, with which they never got back to me, therefore exceeding the 10 day response time required by law; I eventually launched a complaint with TDS where they magically started responding again. This whole process has taken 3 months. The law on this upon reading online feels flimsy as hell, and it feels like there's absolutely no consequence for these scam artists.
I have to officially call out Geoff Manning who might be the most unprofessional and incompetent person I've ever had the misfortune to come across. Pretty much all of the above was down to his complete lack of communication skills.
I recommend reading James B's review 6 months prior whose experience I can relate to and sounds like a complete horror show.... Read more

Goodsir are possibly the worst management company. Had to report sue to Ombudsman due to professional negligence. Please avoid for your own well-being and if you require professional services
They managed our property (mixed use residential and commercial) for 2 years and we were forced to service notice and find a property management company due to continual issues.
This included but was not limited too:
- incorrect accounting of the management company (sending wrong invoices to the wrong leaseholders, not collecting service charge, taking monies into their own commercial accounts)
- no maintenance work was provided for the property in 2 years, we had continual breakins (including police involvement) and they frankly did not care. The building was left in disrepair, requiring Section 20 works which were never completed or even started. Appalling frankly
- there communication was non existent. I emailed 10+ to no response and had to go to the office and then was duly ignored. Similarity phone calls were never responded too. They had no interest in managing our property
- finally but not least I want to call out Geoff Manning, Paul Goodsir and Erika Santander. Their behaviour was absolutely appalling, inconsiderate, and let they collectively ignored health and safety issues, letting people rot in their own homes, whilst mid managing funds and illustrating their inability to manage money professionally. They were all commercially negligent, unprofessional and incapable of managing a property or accounts.
- multiple promises by Geoff Manning was made for new furniture and redecoration, non of which fulfilled due to various excuses over a 24 month period
- they are considerably understaffed, amplifying issues as they have two Property Managers managing their whole portfolio
- the levels of lack of support on the safety issue with criminal break-ins led to mental health problems and caused unnecessary stress and led to my wife and I having to seek professional health health support. Imagine someone breaking into your building on a weekly basis and then trying to get into your front door and your management company wouldn’t respond… hard to sleep right?
- we had a mouse infestation in the common parts, had to resolve the issue myself due to lack of support from the management company
The list could go on but hopefully you get the picture
I have lived in four London based apartments over the last 15 years managed by different management companies, and this is the only one I’ve had any issue with at all.
In summary, Goodsir are not setup for property management, I would recommend avoiding.... Read more

Goodsir took on the property management of our building in 2020 - two years later, with relief we gave them notice. Paul Goodsir is not the slightest bit interested in this side of the business, treating his clients with condescension - when he could be bothered to communicate - and his 'team' were hopelessly inefficient. They look good on paper but provide a shockingly poor service. Look elsewhere!... Read more

The Goodsir team were atrocious. We rented a flat from them and the water pressure was barely enough to shower under, they handnt installed cables for internet connection, when it rained there was a massive leak in thr ceiling, they left old furniture in our flat for 2 months without collecting it and they handnt registered the flat with utility providers. We emailed and called them constantly to rectify those issues but they refused to. They only responded to us when we threatened to contact the ombudsman and even then they didn’t sort any of the problems out we had to do it ourselves. I would strongly recommend not renting a flat from them because they will not help you if anything goes wrong.... Read more

I live at a property managed by these agents. Our primary contacts, Paul and Emma, are incredibly unresponsive. Emails go unanswered for weeks - if not months - even those regarding urgent repairs and maintenance. Phone calls and text messages go unanswered, despite multiple follow-ups. Paul exhibits a condescending attitude and, in general, behaves with contempt for the freeholders and leaseholders of the property they manage. Avoid at all costs.... Read more

I live in a property managed by Daniel Prince at Goodsir commercial. He is professional, effective and competent at dealing with issues around the building, which makes for a change from how badly things were run before. Daniel took the initiative to replace the old lead pipes that were constantly blocked in the building with wider PVC plastic pipes, and we haven’t had a drainage problem since. He handles issues around the building quickly and it's a relief knowing he's there to provide a great service.... Read more

Since 2013, we have owned a property on Turner Street and it is managed by Goodsir Commercial. I would highly recommend the current property management team, Daniel Prince in particular.
Previously we have had 2 other property agents from Goodsir and they were useless and none of the issues were resolved.
The property is now managed by Daniel Prince and in the last 2 years, he has:
Cleaned out the mess in back and allowed bikes to be stowed away.
Cleaned the front area after there was illegal dumping of refuse and waste.
Got a new recycling bin.
Fixed the lift.
Addressed safety issues and has proposed installing security cameras.
He has been responsive in communicating when work will be done.
For my flat he has got the contractors to finally fix the damp in the outer walls and we have had our rooms repainted after 4 years of nothing happening.
Thank you and well-done Daniel!... Read more

Mark Pearse was a terrible agent to meet and speak to. His attitude was very condescending and he knew nothing about the property he was letting. Very poor at his job, didn't try to sell anything, lack of effort throughout, thought he knew it all but clearly didn't. I wouldn't want to spend a £1 with this agency and I don't know how they're surviving with such lazy un-driven staff. I could've done a better job in a tracksuit. I will be staying away from this lazy agency.... Read more

Attempting to get hold of these people is near on impossible given the turnover of staff is second to none. If you need anything fixing in your property, expect to wait at least six months and really, the best way to get it done is to say you're leaving (but actually leave, or else they won't do it). Yes, that even includes having your lightbulbs changed, or living with a leak above your bed.... Read more
