We have used Gordon Brown Letting Agency on several occasions now. I cannot praise Joanne, Claire and Helen enough. Their advice and guidance has been second to none. They have never failed to meet our expectations through advertising the property, identifying suitable tenants, and completing the legal and contractual paperwork on our behalf. On the last occasion, Joanne even identified tenants before the property was even listed and available for rent. Fantastic experience with Gordon Brown, from the start I was treat with such professionalism and warmth from the whole team. The photos and videos of my house were done to a very high standard and I believe really helped me to get the viewings and interest that I did. I dealt with Lynn from the sales team who is super helpful and friendly and always kept me in the loop with great communication. I then dealt with Sharon in sales progression once my house sold and she was absolutely amazing. My house sale fell through twice which caused us such stress and anxiety, Sharon was always there with empathy and supportive phone calls offering me guidance on what to do next. I wasn't the easiest client to deal with, always wanting to be kept in the loop and pestering the team at times but I was never met with anything but warmth and reassurance. Special thank you to Sharon, I know you worked over time and went above and beyond to ensure our house sale went through on completion date without a hitch. It was just a great experience from start to finish, the photos just showed our home off to its absolute best, they even came back at night and took night shots of the garden ! we had multiple viewings within hours of the property going on the market, resulting in best and final offers where we achieved 20K over our asking price and selling for more than any in the street. We were over the moon and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of selling and their fees were really fair, other local agents were wanting to charge me over double what they did. So I chase a property to rent for over a week. I check out the outside and the area in my own time, decide yes I want to put in for it, I call and basically get told if I haven't viewed it, I am not allowed to out a holding deposit down. Now because of the pandemic they only do viewings Monday to friday and would not accommodate the fact that I am an NHS worker about to become homeless and only available on the weekends. Making me come away from my shift and take an extra long break (thanks to colleuges covering me) to view the property. Immediately after viewing with no estate agent present, only the current tenants who did not agree to show people around, I called to put down a holding deposit, I couldn't get through to the rentals extension after numerous tries, having to ring the sales office. I left my details and hoped for the best. I then get a phone call a few hours later, to be told he was putting out for references for someone else. My temper went through the roof and I've decided to write this and stay Clear of this estate agent, TIME WASTERS, INCONSIDERATE, LACK OF PROFESSIONAISM AND THE WORST AGENCY I HAVE DELT WITH IN MY 10+ YEARS OF RENTING AVOID!!!!!... Currently have my property on the market with Gordon Brown. They are ususelss and frankly I get the feeling they don’t care about selling my property. We’ve not heard from them in over 2 weeks and I feel they are very unprofessional!! As soon as the 16 week period in the contract has passed I’m putting my property up with a different estate agent. Maybe they should care about all customers instead of the ones that give them a big commition.... Read more
