I was really disappointed with my experience this morning. I sat waiting to view a property, only to be told that an offer had already been accepted. I completely understand that these things happen, but I’d taken the morning off work to attend the viewing — only to find out on arrival.
They claimed they’d texted and emailed me, but I received no text, and it turned out the email address they had was incorrect. Mistakes happen, but it would’ve been nice to have been properly informed so my time wasn’t wasted.

Harper and co were amazing in selling my home. This had previously been a rental property therefore needed to be sold quickly as the property was vacant (and costing me money!). The team were straight round to take stunning professional photos, even taking the care to return the next day to photograph the exterior when it wasn't so overcast. After an influx of viewings the house was sold over the asking price within two weeks! I used their recommended solicitor, HNW Law who worked with Emma and the team to seamlessly complete the sale within a matter of months. Easy Peasy! An awful experience with Harper & Co. My mother booked a viewing to look at a retirement property for herself and asked me to come along. We both travelled an hour seperately to meet at the property for 1pm. By 1:11pm nobody had arrived to the viewing, despite the company calling to confirm that morning. My Mum called Harper & Co’s office and the call was answered by Freya, she apologised and explained she would call to find out why Grace who was doing the viewing was not at the property and give us a call back. Freya called at 1:15pm explaining Grace was stuck at another viewing and would not be attending but we could re-arrange for later that day. My Mum explained this would not be suitable as we had both travelled an hour to view the property, Freya then offered to come herself and said she would be 10minutes.
After waiting half an hour, a car then approached with a male and female in and the girl ran out of the car and went inside the property (after seeing us sat in our car). We then assumed this was Freya so made our own way inside, again I will add half an hour late. The girl then said Hi I’m Grace have a look around. My mother and I were extremely confused as we had been expecting Freya who we had spoken to and had explained Grace was at another viewing. My Mum said sorry we are very confused we’ve been sat outside for half an hour waiting and the girl we now know to be Grace said “Well I’ve been in a car accident ACTUALLY and had to call my brother just to bring me here.” She seemed to have no awareness that she had kept us waiting and had now been in a crash, not stuck at an appointment. Ultimately despite loving the property and wanting to purchase this girl’s entire attitude and demeaner made us both extremely uncomfortable and we left the property.
My Mum called Harper & Co’s office to explain that we felt very upset at being left waiting and no apology given. Emma, their director, informed us that we had got it all wrong and Grace was the person we had spoken to the entire time (not Freya we both must be hearing things), she had been in the office the whole time and spoken to US on the landline we had called. She didn’t turn up to our appointment and had pretended to call someone to see where they were then offered to come herself, had a car crash on the way and got stuck at an appointment all in the space of half an hour. Really could not have made it up.
Emma informed us she could not apologise as Grace’s version of events was wholly correct and that she had been stuck at an appointment/in a car crash and on the phone to us all in the space of 15 minutes. Emma stated that these things happen regularly and we always offer to rearrange, clearing showing they do not value or appreciate their customers time as nobody had intended to come to the viewing.
What a strange and awful experience. The excitement of buying a property and moving was completely spoilt. The company’s ethos is clear that their versions are correct and they could not acknowledge their error and apologise. Would not use or recommend this company, and to add they then inform you after your viewing they have been sharing cctv video footage of you with the sellers. Again, what a strange experience.

As a buyer i feel like the agent is just as important to both parties, obviously as a seller you choose who markets your property but as a buyer you don't. You dont purchase a property just because of the agent you sometimes have to buy dispite the agent. I have recently bought a house that was advertised with Harper and Co as the agent. They were considerably better than when I bought one a couple of years before, with a different company. Their communication was great from start to finish both the communication and the methord they use was very easy and speedy, and they were very helpful to me as a buyer. Emma was the 3rd estate agent we contacted for a valuation on my wifes elderly mothers property. She was going into full time care. The previous one gave us a tedious long sales pitch as if we were buyers? Our own experience of estate agents on our last house purchase, left a deep mistrust, we got gazumped just before the purchase concluded. It was obvious the agent wasnt acting on our best interest, more like their own.
Had we have known, we would have gone to Emma first. HONESTY is a virtue not an option !!!. Emma is a breath of fresh air. Honest, proffesional, trustworthy. Just what you want. We read the other reviews, and totally agree.

We can't speak more highly of Emma, we thought her very professional, approachable, informative and friendly. She made us feel so comfortable, we felt like she was a friend that we had known for a long time. Harper and Co are quite simply the best of the best!! The name initially drew us in having a link to our surname, and I'm so glad of that!! Emma has been so helpful, and professional. I like that she is completely honest and it is clear that she cares about what she does... And wow... is she good at it!! Sold our house within a matter of days.. Very modern feel with the marketing approach, communication methods and everything was just very easy. We didn't have to worry about anything, Emma has been there every step of the way - to answer questions and nothing is any trouble... She is absolutely amazing...
