Philip May's genuine enthusiasm for the property we were selling, and his ability to sell Hodsons' services sold Hodsons to me as the estate agent to choose to sell a family home. The subsequent progress has been excellent, with a well-qualified buyer lined up within weeks. The only criticism I have is that a 'For Sale' sign was erected in the garden of the property which was unoccupied, and I had specifically asked for no sign.... Read more

They were terrible. No communication for weeks on end. No suggestions as to any changes we could make to get viewings. We had a substantial and positive change to the outlook from the house and they didn’t bother to come to see it. They never proactively rang us, all communication from them was as a result of us contacting them. If you’ve got a house that’s a bit outside of the norm, don’t go near them.... Read more

Good at getting viewings and marketing and at initial contact, but wanted to accept the first offer and seemed to want to work more for our buyers than us. All they seemed concerned about was pushing a quick sale through. Once the sale had been agreed ,NOT good at keeping in contact once the sale had been agreed.Would NOT recommend and the overall service did not match the promises and sales they promote....
