Holland and Odam have been great. Our sale was not straightforward and involved several unfortunate delays. However, the communication from H&O, and Hazel in particular was superb. She talked us through the process at every stage and responded very quickly to all of our queries. We would definitely use Holland and Odam again (this was the second time we used them). Their fee was highly competitive and very reasonable too.

This firm has been dealing with a tenancy of one of my properties for over 25 years with total professionalism. I live a distance from the property and have at no time had to question the way in the firm has acted with regard to any issues that might have arisen from the tenants or the property.
I have now sold this property, along with another, and again the manner in which both the sales went through was thorough and professional.
I cannot recommend this firm and employees more highly, I have had complete trust in all they have done for me, always putting my best interests first.

Having been model tenants and rented a property for 16 years I found they never pushed the landlord for repairs and when our roof leaked the served us a two months notice and did nothing to help us find alternative accomodation. When we visited them my disabled daughter could not get in through their office's stepped door in her wheelchair and non of the staff moved from their chairs to help.

After graduating from university I needed a place to live but I was getting nothing but trouble from other estate agents - telling me there was no point in putting an offer in, I needed 6 months minimum, a guarantor, making comments about my new job and my salary. I felt defeated and like I was going to have to work full time living with my parents.
Me and my parents didn't have high expectations going into the viewing in Street for this reason, but WOW were we blown away. The properties were fairly priced. Nicky who showed me around was so honest, genuine and kind. She expressed how the agency doesn't intend on ranking people based on their income or situation, everyone is treated fairly and they want the most suitable tenant for each property. Nicky answered all my questions (which as a first time renter, I have a LOT) and was incredibly patient with me. I was scared to open up about starting a new job but I'm so glad I did as she reassured me about everything.
I know estate agents are meant to be nice to sell a property, so we still prepared for the worst. However, Nicky advised me on other properties in the area and was prepared to set up an action plan of offers should this one fall through. It felt so good to have someone on my side who genuinely cared.
To our surprise and immense joy, I got the property! Nicky called me to tell me and I was so happy it was her. Then I spent time coordinating with Cameron and yet again, had a ton of questions to ask. He answered them to the best of his ability and really put my mind at ease, he was so helpful and sent over some good information about my energy meter and parking too.
Finally, Gemma sent over my contract and I sent questions back regarding some of the clauses. She again, put my mind at such ease because between ordering furniture, ordering a moving van and getting Internet installed, these past few days have been terribly stressful. To have such friendly and helpful people at the other end who actually want the best for you means the world, and when I say they've changed my life for the better I mean it.
So I have gone from being a uni student during a pandemic, getting diagnosed with chronic illness, graduating, not being able to continue my job, failing to find a job in time so moving back in with my parents... to having a brilliant new job, and a secure home I know I will love in a wonderful area. And if I do ever need to move properties for any reason, I know exactly who I'll be in touch with to help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Recently bought my first house via Holland & Odam in Street. In our search we saw houses with all of the local agents and Holland & Odam were without doubt the most professional, helpful, compassionate and competent agent by a country mile. No judgement for walking in without a shirt and tie on unlike come competitors, treated us like human beings, listened to our needs and found us a perfect house. They made sure everything went smoothly and efficiently and if I ever move again I'd probably contain our efforts to only Holland and Odam and not bother with the rest. Thank you so much to everyone in the Farm Road branch, wonderful people, wonderful experience.

I rented a property through this agents and found them to be very good through the whole process from start to finish. My deposit was returned at the end of the tenancy minus an agreed amount and I found them to be fair and just. Buying your first home is always daunting but they made us feel at ease and we're always on hand to answer any questions I had, were always easy to get hold of and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms basic but clean.only thing was that I was told breakfast included but it wasn't. We had to pay extra.also if you want a taxi dont bother for a 3 mile journey they wanted £29????

Very poor communication, we always had to be the ones to contact them and they never called back when they said they would. When asked a question regarding the purchase they would seemingly make assumptions but state them as fact, only to back track later.
Came across like they were more concerned about instructing new properties to sell than actually getting sales completed.
Very frustrating to work with and I would not deal with them again.

I felt that it was rather unfair to charge an outrageously high fee for finding an unreliable potential purchaser, one who dropped out a week after making an offer (for no good reason) causing us as sellers, considerable inconvenience. It could be argued that it was your fault for failing to recognise that this was an unreliable client.
Also, should not some allowance have been made for the fact that you did not find the eventual purchaser? The purchaser did not know that you were advertising the property, but was informed by a friend of ours who was also their relative. You did not even have to show them round the house on the two occasions that they visited.

Sale fell through due to chain issues twice, both times this happened we took advice, put back on the market and sold within a week or 2. Overall a long process but this is not the fault of the agent but a flawed conveyancing process. Happy with the agent, not so much the process! but being kept informed was useful. The vast experience of the team and the honest approach was very good.
