I’ve used IPS for both a property sale and they have also taken over the management of my fathers rental property. Neil and Martin really provide an excellent service both in supporting a sale and finding a tenant and management a property. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I was unsure which Estate Agent to go with, l regularly found agents cards posted through my
letterbox, as l was deciding, a different one appeared, lndependent Property Services, l
contacted there office and was duly sent the information pack.
A phone call to there office and an appointment was arranged, with anticipation l opened my
door, from that moment l was sure l had made the right choice. Neil Locke , after viewing my
house, which wasn’t in showroom condition, assured me of the positives, after what was a
relatively a short time and few hiccups, Neil informed me , l have a buyer.
All throughout the sale, Neil and the staff, have made it a smooth process, that has sold, which l
thought would be difficult . Thankyou, Neil , and l strongly recommend the service that

Having dealt with IPS for many years on the lettings of a couple of properties I have always found them to be friendly yet professional and helpful so with that in mind I chose them to market one of the properties. I found Neil, who mainly deals with the sales, to be as friendly, professional and helpful as the others that I have dealt with on the lettings. If I could rate 0 stars I would. They will take obscene amounts from your deposit for no reason. They have deducted a £400 cleaning charge for a ONE BEDROOM FLAT. This is extortionate, and extremely heartless in the cost of living crisis we find ourselves in. I understand a cleaning charge, but how can anyone justify £400? If you are thinking of renting through these people, save yourself some money and go through another company. I have been through several renting agencies, and have never had anyone try to steal such a high amount off our deposit.
They also make you do the viewings yourself, despite this being part of what they are employed to do. You have to show people around which doesn’t seem fair.

I used to be a private landlord, but since falling on slightly harder times I've been renting. I mention this to show that I know how property rental should be managed from both sides of the fence. Either way IPS are excellent. They deliver what they say they will. They take care of their customers, and they are reliable.
After faffing around with a number of other chelmsford agents, some of whom were quite frankly gratuitously unpleasant and snooty about my partner and I, we fortunately found IPS who quickly understood exactly what we needed, and found an excellent flat which matched our needs and budget exactly. Unlike a lot of other agents they didnt have a load of pointless procedural red-tape, but instead concentrated efficiently on the important aspects of making sure that we could genuinely afford the place, and that we would be reliable tennants.
