I cannot speak highly enough of the team at John D Wood's Belgravia branch - particularly Robert Lewis and Daniel Garnett. For various reasons it was a tricky situation which they handled with extraordinary skill. At the same time, they took the greatest possible care of me and all my anxieties. I felt cosseted by the team from the moment I put my house up for sale and then found the flat that I wanted to buy. Their advice was always spot on and nothing was too much trouble. They embody the gold standard of house agents!

The 14th of June, another person and myself made an offer with a holding deposit to rent a property in London Victoria-Pimlico. We went through the referencing process individually. Unfortunately I didn’t pass the reference check as I had a CCJ (that I wasn’t aware of it at all), therefore I obviously couldn’t declare so online. On the other hand, the other person, passed successfully and his salary was above the minimum required to pass the references. One of the agents called me (Ed) and informed me that the other person passed the references but I didn’t. He also said that I lied on my application… I never lied, I just wasn’t aware of it... (really disrespectful and unprofessional) It was a decision of the landlord not to accept the offer, even when one of us met all criteria. Furthermore, all my personal details have been used unprofessionally. Emails and phone calls mentioning myself and details about my personal situation has been sent over and personal information has been disclosed, again without my consent to the other person on the application. GDPR in this company is non-existent. Long story short, they made business with holding deposit. Holding Deposit is to secure the property but certainly not to make business with it. Please be really careful before making an offer with this agency. Finally we found a lovely property in Central London with a professional agency thanks God...

We have had the superb opportunity of meeting Richard Mackarel from the Elizabeth Sreet branch. Richard has directed us immediately to the right product. Besides, Richard has been instrumental in supporting our rental discussions with the owners, smoothening the process.
We are lucky to be neighbours with the ES branch, we bump into Richard regularly and we keep close follow up on everything.

Jamie Marshall, the director of the Belgravia office, was one of five estate agent representatives who came to present to us. In a generally impressive group he stood out and his terms were competitive. Our judgement proved accurate because Jamie and his assistant Andrew gave us very good service. The flat sold within three weeks and when Covid19 complicated the situation and the winning bidder sought to reduce the price Jamie proved a source of wise advice. My wife and I were comfortable with his guidance throughout and grateful to have had him and Andrew with us.

You guys are thieves. I've been waiting for my deposit more than a month and a half, received the inventory checking 8 months after moving in and the inventory checkout 10 days after leaving. This agency is a joke and a scam, I want my money back and I will contact the press with all the relevant audios and emails.

Am leaving this review for John D Wood especially because of lettings negotiator Oliver Hayden. Moving to London from abroad, we had one day to look at apartments. Oliver made sure to ask enough questions to learn what we were looking for, made a good proposal for viewings and was very pleasant to have around & helpful during the viewings. We found our apartment that day and Oliver kept in touch on a daily base to make sure we were able to 'get' the apartement / close the deal. Besides from being trustworthy, pro-active and polite, Oliver is also easy to reach, which in my opinion is a big plus. This all reflects positively upon John D Wood's reputation, which I can fully recommend if you are looking for a place to live.

I was most impressed with John D. Wood, and especially my agent, Oliver Hayden. He understood immediately what I wanted and was able to show me places that I could see myself living in. It was so refreshing as other agents were just showing me anything and wasting my time, but Oliver didn't do that and was really concious of my needs. I found him to be really efficient, friendly and full of integrity. I would have no hesitation recommending him or John D. Wood to others and will be contacting them when I'm next needing an Estate Agent. In short, he made a very stressful time of my life much smoother and easier - he was a godsend!

VERY GOOD!!!. Customer service as it should be in the lettings industry. John D Wood of Belgravia have simply been excellent, the best agents I came across when looking for a flat for a month, dealing with numerous agents. Tim Lawler stood out as polite and personable, showing me two properties that met and exceeded my criteria, and even took time during his day off at the weekend for a second viewing. He answered all my questions and I truly thought my experience would change once I had put the deposit down, but Tim's courteous manner continued. He even bought me a welcome cake from local Peggy Porschen's on the day of the check-in to show me some of the local businesses. I wish the Lettings Industry would take a page out of John D. Wood's book. Thank you Tim!

I have experience with three major letting agents in London. This team is by far the best! Ed, Amye, Oliver are terrific so if you want an excellent letting experience go to them. But, beware of the after service. Steven is the property manager for many of the JDW properties that are let. It is two months since we have moved into our flat. We still do not have basic things fixed that we asked for even before moving in. And, the communication is very difficult. It is like pulling teeth to get these things fixed. Never had that type of after service experience before.

I recently spent some time with Oliver Hayden, who helped me find a rental property for my family and me. I can't say enough about how helpful and professional he was. Even when my search went on for longer than typical, he never made me feel badly about taking up even more of his time than I'm sure he or I would've wanted. Instead, he kept the optimism (even when I was feeling discouraged) and kept plugging away. Eventually we found the perfect place, and we are scheduled to move in next month. After spending time with agents from other companies and viewing their properties, it was such a breath of fresh air to find Oliver and John D Wood. I knew from the moment I first spoke with them that I needn't look any further for help. Their relocation service is super, and I still can't fathom that it's free as well. I feel like I should pay for all the work they did on my behalf! I will undoubtedly recommend Oliver and John D Wood/Belgravia to anyone I know who may be in need of an estate agent!

Our experience with John D Wood was excellent. Even though the flat that we really wanted was taken off the market the same day that we were scheduled to view it, John D Wood were speedy in finding a flat on that same day that followed our strict criteria and after the first viewing we were sold on it. Me and my flatmate were looking for flat to rent in London and we found a beautiful flat through John D Wood in Sloane Square. We have had a really great experience with the service the agency has provided to us. We have not moved in yet but so far, the process has been really easy with no trouble. It has truly been the smoothest process I have had for moving in a flat. We have had minor issues but John D Wood has been great with helping us sort it out. I am sure that once we move in, we will have the help we need through them in case we ever need it.

I was after a 1 bedroom flat in Belgravia / Chelsea and after having dealt with other agents int the past it was nice to try John D Wood & Co. I was helped by a lovely and efficient agent called Jessica Wright. She knew my budget and what I was looking for and gave me plenty of choice. She was also pretty patient with repeated viewings as I couldn't make up my mind. I really appreciated the extra time she put in.
The quality of properties in the area they had on their books was excellent and it helps having a small, focused team who know the areas exceptionally well.
Definitely recommend them over the big agents.
