I Had a very difficult landlord making ridiculous demands, however Johnson hewitt and Glen in particular were great and supportive throughout, offering alternative properties, and also, making sure I was refunded my deposit in a timely manner. ????????

Good local estate agent and letting agent. Over the last 15+ years we have used both Adam and Glen to let our three one-bedroom flats in Croydon and Purley and have always found them to be efficient, professional, polite, friendly, knowledgeable and proactive.
In December 2022 we awarded the sale of a one-bedroom Croydon rental property to Glen and, in addition, asked him to handle the delicate matter of terminating the sitting tenant who had been there for over 19 years.
This was carried out by Glen in a legal and professional manner far better than we could have done ourselves and the tenant completed his move-out process by 6am Monday 24th April; Exchange of Contracts took place later that day; and Completion was on Wednesday afternoon 26th April.
Well done, Glen, and thanks also to Adam when Glen was incommunicado.

Johnson Hewitt assisted me in securing a rental property in Southfields. Glen was helpful and professional throughout and for me 2 things stood out: 1) they didnt run the rental search process like an auction , accepting only the highest bid; rather, they helped me to secure at the listing price (therefore, preventing me from being gazumped). secondly, Glen helped me to fast track the move-in date, which helped me immensley, as I was to move in against tight timescales. Would highly recommend Johnson Hewitt for their "word is their bond" approach.

Just had a phone call from these people. My wife has disabilities and we're struggling massively to find ourselves housing. We rang up about a little bottom floor flat. The guy on the phone was then asking what amount of money were on. She tells him in full honest truth. Then she says she's on disability and snaps back with sorry you won't be able to have this then bye. Not impressed. Rude. And has made myself and her upset and angry at this company and the way they handled that call with us. Just a little tip. Be nicer in the future. We can't help it!

As a landlord I have used the services of Johnson and Hewitt on three occasions over the past 7 years. On each occasion they have found good tenants within the required time frame. Both Glen and Adam are professional and always contactable should any issues arise. I would have no hesitation in using their services again or recommending them to any other landlord.

Great service and reasonable fees. Johnson Hewitt sold our house in Addiscombe in 2019. The photos they took for the website were fantastic and we got our sale VERY quickly, at the asking price. Adam and Glen really know the Croydon area! They also are managing agents for our rental property In Purley and we've been extremely pleased with their hands-on approach and efficient admin and communication. It is so good to have reliable managing agents as we now live abroad.

I have dealt with Johnson & Hewitt for 15 years now. As a landlord, I need to know that prospective tenants are trustworthy and credit worthy. I have found that both Adam and Glen go “the extra mile” to ensure that references are thoroughly checked and that my tenants are not going to adversely affect the other tenants. In 15 years this has never happened. Good luck maybe, I prefer to think it’s good management.

We put a £200 holding deposit on a flat we intended to move into. Unfortunately, upon visiting the flat again before signing the tenancy agreement and paying the full deposit.We discovered an issue with a few mice that Johnson Hewitt were not aware of, as they had not been informed by the current tenant.
We expressed our concern to Adam, who understood and appreciated the fact we no longer wanted to move in to this property. He then promptly returned the holding deposit in full.
The resolution was fair. Thanks to Adam for following up and resolving.

This company does not refund your refundable deposit and charge you £230 in fees when doing a reference check. I suspect they did not even do a credit check and just bank every applicants deposit knowing full well there is no properties for rent .I suspect this is a scam and I will be reporting them today for theft of my withholding deposit to Caterham Police, their bank Santander ,my local MP, Croydon council and to all the housing and rental associations.
I would advise you all to have caution when dealing with this company.

Bunch of cheaters. Avoids these pair of frauds at all cost. They charge fees with ZERO service. They lie and make false promises. They will not check the state of property before giving the keys. And will not accept any faults with the property. Communication was ZERO unless you call them 5 to 10 times a day then they will answer 1 time. I cannot trust them at all. And I will never recommend the cheaters to anyone.
