Everyone at Moore and York seems to be really helpful and very quick with responses on email or on the phone, however Natasha never seems to do anything, every time I email her regarding something someone else always replies as she clearly just doesn’t deal withit herself, every-time I call for her shes always out of the office or gone for the day, I would definitely recommend using Moore and York but would highly recommend not to contact Natasha and contact the others in the office.

Senior Valuer John Waters provided a probate valuation very quickly and efficiently which enabled probate to be granted with minimum delay. All the sales team were very good in arranging viewings and negotiating with potential buyers. We are especially grateful to Sales negotiator Beth Taylor who was professional, pleasant and a high quality communicator throughout a process which was more challenging than originally anticipated. The worst estate agents in Leicester Moore And York. There unreliable and utterly careless, lack of professionalism and organisation, giving misleading information they don't care about there clients. Any time try to ask for clarification or raise concerns, I was met with defensive and indifference rather then help. There very unhelpful attitude is dismissive there customer service is far below what you would expect from a professional estate agent. I would strongly advise others be cautious before dealing with them, because Communication, Honesty, and Reliability are not there priorities at Moore and York Leicester. Worst ever Estate agent dealt with.

Overall good, but sometimes issues with communication, i.e. when potential buyers cancel and that information is not passed onto you, so you wait in and change your plans, expecting that person to arrive, and they don’t turn up.
Had a lot of interest in the beginning, but that soon dwindled and viewings stopped. Potential buyers don’t go through an affordability check first, so you end up with a lot of time wasters.

Efficient, professional agency. Please boost your brain to ask every details in advance of application. What you see in viewing may be what you get when key handle.
Everything is quick but slow down by third party involvement such as canopy rent passport.(it may but not sure, caused by the third party, lead spam text and calls as I have received already). HMRC P60 documents plus bank statements cannot approve income. This step making application headache.
In common sense, unfurnished property, is the property without furniture, may included white goods. Please ask in advance, as it may differ to common sense. But the agency is professional, discussed with landlord for washing machine fitted. Worth a like.
Normally, before handling the key or setting key handle date, the property should be ready to live. In my case, water not running on the key handle date, electric meter cover broken to fall down, bedroom breaks one layer of double glaze, light bulbs missing or some not work. But I know it may be the landlord hurry to put the property in market. In this living cost rising age no one is easy even the landlord. Understandable.
Previously living Leicester city for over six years and been living in the UK over 15 years. This is the first time had such experience. To be honest, above isn’t the blame. The agency also bears difficulty as they were mid man, pressure from both sides. And they responded quick and positively trying to help.
I do learn a lot. And hope property letting business may develop healthily. Making tenants have smoothy experience.

Jason, who carried out the valuation, was knowledgeable and reassuring, setting the tone for a smooth process. Beth, the sales progressor, kept me updated regularly and was always available to answer any questions – her communication was excellent and made a real difference. Terral, the director, was also hands-on and did some of the accompanied viewings himself, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to see that level of involvement and commitment. Nik, the sales manager, was also fantastic – approachable, efficient, and clearly experienced.

I have recently moved into a property managed by Moore & York. It is my first time renting, having lived with my parents up until this point. Rabia was fantastic in helping me with the moving process. She was very patient with all the questions I had in regards the renting/application process and patient with my guarantors, who aren't very savvy when it comes to online applications. On the day of receving the keys to my new home Rabia was even more brilliant talking me through the tenancy & legal documents. All this information and support made the process of leaving home a little less stressful and daunting as I felt like I had fully understood what was expected from me as a tenant. It was a straightforward process and was very quick and efficent. I cannot thank Moore&York, especially Rabia, enough for all their help in this process.

I wanted to take a moment to provide some feedback on my recent experience with your Loughborough branch. I would like to express my concerns regarding a particular aspect of my interaction with this agency.
I recently inquired about viewing a property through your Loughborough branch. During this process, I was informed that a UK-based guarantor would be required.
It is essential for letting agencies to uphold fair and inclusive practices in today's diverse and multicultural society. I felt that it was being applied in a way that was discriminatory, particularly with regard to the issue of accents.
It is my belief that everyone should be treated with respect, irrespective of their nationality or accent. It is crucial that agencies like yours promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, especially considering the diverse population of Loughborough and the United Kingdom as a whole.
I kindly request that you review your policies and practices regarding guarantors and ensure that they are applied fairly to all prospective tenants. This could include exploring alternative options for those who may not have access to a UK-based guarantor but are otherwise qualified tenants.
I believe that a more inclusive approach will not only enhance your agency's reputation but also attract a broader range of potential tenants, contributing to a more diverse and vibrant rental community in Loughborough.

I’ve just tried to enquire about a property. They ask am I in full time employment and can I afford the rent I said yes. Then they asked me if I had a guarantor as apparently it’s company policy if I didn’t have a guarantor I couldn’t go ahead with the application. Never heard of this in my life. The whole point of a guarantor is if you can’t afford to rent the property due to income and making it company policy is a bit pathetic.

Over years we changed more houses and we always chose to rent with same agency which is M&Y, because we are happy with the services they provide. They always dealt with complaints in reasonable time and were there for any queries or issues we encountered. Overall we had and have respect for this agency. I would always recommend them. Recently we moved again and we chose again them as we are comfortable with them and we know any issues that appear they will promptly deal with. From the last property we vacated we got full deposit returned, without any issues and this give the agency a huge 100% ????. Mr and Mrs Moore are always professional and kind to us. No negative reviews from us because this is the truth.

This is yet another agency that tries to deduct "cleaning fees" from the deposit even though the property had been cleaned throughly at the end of the tenancy. In the final 6-9 months of my tenancy, the 'inspections' were becoming more and more frequent, unreasonably so and it was apparent that they wanted me to vacate so that they can bring in another tenant at a higher rent. On one occasion they even asked me to allow access to a viewing on their behalf (they weren't able to attend themselves- too busy living the estate agent lifestyle in their fancy Audi perhaps) of which I kindly agreed. The only issue is that the muppets at M&Y gave them the wrong time by an hour so it was an early wake up call on that Saturday morning. Upon vacating the property, I left the UK to do some travelling and this is when their claims for deductions started coming through. It was clear that they were exaggerating massively just to try and rip me off on my deposit and I know what state it was left in. It certainly didn't warrant any deductions but I was in a foreign country 6000 miles away from the UK and at that time I was not aware of the dispute scheme, so I reluctantly agreed for the deductions to be taken from the deposit. It is a shame as I got on well with the Landlord. The Landlord used to come round to fix a few things and he could see that I was a respectful tenant who kept the place clean. So - renters beware, take photos of the property when you leave and do use the dispute scheme to push back against any of these common techniques agents use to extract money from you. As for Moore & York I would never use them again. I would never use them to rent, buy, sell, or manage any property. This is not an honest agency.

We came from Ukraine because of the Russian invasion and it was quite hard for us to find a property to rent because not all agencies would like to work with foreigners. I would like to say thank Moore and York Lettings for their professional and friendly attitude, especially Claire, who supported us during all stages, explained us everything. She continues to help with all our questions regarding the house we rent. I would highly recommend Moore and York Lettings. We are really happy that we have found them.
