Despite a cooling market Leanne found a buyer and whilst not quite achieving the reserve, got the property sold in super quick time. This is a complete joke and not a professional real estate agency at all. They do quite bad at advertising or even staging the units to be sold. They are so dumb and stupid. I bought a flat that needed tons of repairs even though they promised to give it out in good shape.
Imagine buying a place and not receiving full keys. They claim they had no idea about the key situation. I think people who are please here have no real comparison to this stupid company. I lived in north America and such agencies would go bankrupt in one month. I even feel bad for the seller because the unit could have gotten extra money if they did their job right.
Surprisingly the person who handled my case was the branch manager (or claims to be), leanne threw multiple fits when I wanted to have the unit checked in before i purchase, she has zero respect for buyers. She needs to learn how to do real estate from professionals. Stay away and go with other firms. You will lose money with both ends with them.
Update: notice how the praises only come from reviewers with 2-3 reviews on their account. Stay away from this company

What a fantastic estate agent! I cannot fault anything. Leanne and her team were absolutely incredible! I had the sad task of selling my mother’s house following her death so clearly quite an emotional time. However I did not need to worry because Leanne and Olivia guided me through the whole process from start to finish. I had no stress, they couldn’t have helped me more. Their professionalism was outstanding balanced with their sensitivity and understanding.
I had arranged for three estate agents to the house for a valuation and what service each of them offered. After the second person came, I really thought I would choose that agent but then Leanne came and I knew as soon as I met her that I would choose Northwood. Leanne was amazing! Her knowledge, professionalism and understanding was remarkable. She is the reason I chose Northwood and it was the best decision! I would highly recommend Northwood Estate Agents. During probate, we were advised to market my mam’s house with two estate agents, and I’m so pleased that it was Northwood who achieved the sale. The difference between them and the other agent was like night and day.

Leanne came to see me at the property and advised me about all the different options. After about a week I received an email from Leanne asking if I'd had any thoughts and if they could be of any more help. This was probably the gentle nudge I needed to start to get things moving so after accepting a fixed price for the sale with Northwood Leanne started on the marketing. It wasn't long before offers came in and if Leanne was out of the office Olivia was always there ready to help and keep me up to speed. Whether that be conducting viewings with potential buyers or answering the many questions I had on a daily basis, they provided a top class service from start to finish. From the very beginning, the team at Northwood were proactive, communicative, and incredibly professional. Every setback I faced, they were there, fighting my corner, keeping me informed, and offering steady, honest advice when I needed it most.

This last year I got the opportunity to purchase the rental from the landlord and Leanne has been excellent throughout the whole purchase process liaising between the landlords solicitors and myself. I have recently sold and purchased a property. Northwood wasn’t my estate agent but they were the estate agent for the property I have purchased. The service I received was impeccable, a member of staff in particular, Leanne, went above and beyond in all aspects and I don’t think I’d be sitting in my new house now if it wasn’t for her alone.
Any queries I had Leanne was always on hand to answer, extremely promptly! at times I forgot I wasn’t her only client. Leanne kept me informed at every stage of the sale and purchase, provided regular updates ensuring I always new what was happening. Moving house is very stressful and she made things a whole load easier with her exceptional communication and sales negotiating skills.
As I said, northwood wasn’t my estate agent which makes me want to express even further how exceptional at her job Leanne is because she went above and beyond for myself which technically she did not need to.

Scam clients with fake cleaning bills, fake cleaning company that’s addressed from one of their workers.
Alexander McDougall who also works for Northwood apparently owns the cleaning company they use to invoice their tenants for cleaning bills after they leave their rentals. Even though the place is left spotless!

Even I won’t give a single star, no proper response or update after paying holding deposit and deposit amount
Raised a complaint about oven not working, haven’t solved the problem until our tenancy end date. Raised a complaint about curtains fallen down no response from them and we haven’t used the room for more than a month.
At the end we have cleaned the house as good as we can, as they said if it’s need a professional cleaning it won’t be long more and one hours and they charged 305 pounds for that.

Having been a previous tenant, thankfully only a short time, I found members of staff accessing the property unarranged, terrible repair service and the rechargeables are a joke - charged for a lightbulb not working but it was detailed on the agreement as being held in place by a piece of tin foil. Also a cracked bathroom tile, it had been cracked from the start but now the grout had been wiped off the tile face, the crack could be seen. And so it carries on ....

Northwood were the estate agent with which we purchased a property through. I found the staff there to be great From the point of arranging viewings right through to collecting the keys. I found all of the staff to communicate very well with keeping us up to date with viewings and our offer as quickly possible. I mainly dealt with Jayne who i felt was very professional and knew exactly what was going on throughout and communicated any updates promptly.
Although i was purchasing a property if i did sell i wouldnt hesitate to use Jayne and her team to look after that sale.

Very poor from the moment we moved in, we moved in to a property that had no heating as the boiler needed fixing this was in "Beast from the East" lucky we could stay with family during those two week. The garden was disgraceful with over 100 screws that we had to remove. Throughout the tenancy numerous issues that took ages to resolve. And during check out wr left the house as clean as when we moved in but still "needed cleaning".
They seem to do anything ti take as much money as possible and when you ring to chase this up or questiont this with them the person who is in charge is never in or unavailable at the moment.
This is not just a rant from a disgruntled tenant, several friends who rented through northwood have experience similar issues.
They have taken none of the issues we raised but continued to place the blame on ourselves.
I do not appreciate your reply in where you imply I failed to inform you I had COVID. I did not fail to inform you, the shower had broken for the third time we raised the issue and waited for it to be fixed, and in the wait time I contracted COVID which I i formed the contractor as quick as possible, this is a forum for reviews whether you agree or disagree. You should not write in your reply or hint at my profession nor any personal details it is some what a breach.

Sold our house for asking price!
Our situation was that we bought and renovated our home to live in Denton Burn, however, we ended up with an opportunity to move abroad, meaning selling our home was on the cards sooner than we anticipated.
However, what we had spent in total was slightly higher than what I could see houses were selling for. Furthermore, the hot topic at the end of 2019 was Brexit, and some mortgage companies and valuers were down-valuing homes after good offers were made, concerned that there would be a price crash. This had caused some "run of the mill" sales to fall through and there were fewer buyers looking than previous years.
Two other estate agents told us to advertise either unrealistically higher (risking no viewings coming through the door, or playing a game of price reductions), and far lower (risking selling too quickly, selling ourselves short and losing some of the money we spent on the home).
We took advice from Victoria Skoyles who has a good reputation for selling homes in Newcastle. It felt like she was the one who had the natural skill to pull all the intricate details together that had to be factored in during a time of uncertainty and pull off the right result. Knowing this area street by street she acknowledged some points that were different about our home which others had missed, gave us some valuable insights into how the buying market was behaving today, and came up with a price she could justify with a good plan.
When we advertised our home with Northwood between Victoria, Andrew and Jayne they took brilliant photographs, organised 9 viewings and to our amazement, within a month they got us three offers! The last being at the actual asking price.
If you haven't sold your own house before, there are two main halves to the service (advertising and sales progression), but at each stage there is a lot of communication between you. Your estate agent will get to see the best and worst of you because it is an exciting and stressful moment in your life and it feels like such an uncertain process even when it goes well. At each point of contact this team empathised with, worked around, and completely understood the situation we were in.
Once the offer was accepted they didn't just sit back and wait for the solicitors to do their work, the levels of service increased further chasing the buyers's solicitors up, following us up when we hadn't done something etc.
We really appreciated one day in particular when Victoria answered us promptly during what appeared to be a week of 12+ hour work days because all of her colleagues were unfortunately ill at the same time in January with this winter's cough/cold/flu bug.
She didn't just clock off at 5:30 and leave us hanging - she always did what needed to be done to keep the sale running smoothly and kept us in the updated right away on less urgent matters - that week wouldn't have been easy for her.
We can't thank everybody enough including Sara, Michaela, Megan and Inde for the effort and teamwork involved in making sure the sale is completed and we can start our next chapter.

As first time buyers we were so surprised at how helpful and involved Northwood were from the viewing through to completion. From week one we received weekly email or phone updates from Wendy and she was always chasing up solicitors or the vendor, making sure any queries or delays were dealt with. Victoria was really helpful during the week of completion, smoothing out details with the vendor and updating us regularly on moving day.

DO NOT USE THEM! Shockingly bad service from Northwood, went to view a property, was told it was available and that if we were interested to send the application back asap. Which we did, on the day we received it! Even chased it the next day, anyway, a couple of days later I called them only to be told by Kady that it had been given to someone else! Bearing in mind she was the one who emailed us initially to say it was available. It's obvious that they were using us a back up plan. We were told we could pay a fee to reserve it, which we were willing to pay, we acted fast, got our references and payslips together super quick on the understanding we were going to get it. There was no communication from when we made the application. Absolutely horrified!

I contacted this agent and had a very specific request and had only a few weeks to make it all happen, any delay wouldn't have been acceptable. Fair play this agent pulled out all the stops and got everything done and I was moved in before Christmas they even went out of there way to drop the keys off at my hotel before I arrived so I wouldn't have to wait. Highly recommend the team at northwood.

I would like to say a massive yes yes yes to Northwood Tyneside especially the letting side of the company.
They look after multiple properties of mine. Not only do they guarantee 52 weeks rent but they have a 1st class maintenance team behind them.
Any issues they have an engineer at the property same day and problem solved.
It is this type of service my tenants stay at my properties.

Although the staff where friendly and helpful me and my partner had some issues when we moved in. The previous tenant of the property changed the electrical and gas to a card and key top up. Me and my partner where not made aware of this untill the day we moved in. An upon moving in before we had any electricity we had to pay of the previous tenants £40:00 debt on the key card. And we still have no gas/heating as the property is being changed to a monthly tarrif next week. And Npower won't open the gas account till this change has happened. Overall Im disappointed that this wasn't sorted prior to me and my partner moving in. As we have gone 6days without heating untill Npower change the meter over.

I became a reluctant landlord when i was forced to move for work and have rented several times over recent years finally as a tenant with Northwood Newcastle. They have been nothing short of exceptional. They are very honest and matter of fact which i found refreshing. It was particularly difficult when i moved out because of work commitments and time away from Newcastle but they were very clear at the pre check out visit, (something i was never offered by other agents) and did my check out without me. A few cleaning issues were raised which i was happy to pay for as i just didn't have time myself. They made no deductions for this as they said it was done easily by the staff. Another first in my experience! I don't know how they remain so cheerful as i have had endless problems with my own tenants that seem to think they are paying for a "hotel" experience, want everything the next day and think they are doing you a favour living in your house. To top it all the staff at Newcastle actually helped me with my own property 200 miles away, giving me the right legal advice and prevented my agent putting me at risk. I wish they could manage it for me. I can not say anything but they are the best agent i have dealt with by some margin.

WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED!!
Previous tenant of a flat Northwood managed. Ignored all emails of repair work needing carried out including condensation, broken windows, damp, mould etc.
A member of their staff allowed themselves into the property when they believed it to be empty. Only I happened to be in the bath, heavily pregnant when I caught this member of staff snooping.
When it comes to checking out, they split hairs to gain as much deposit as possible, however no issues were raised on monthly inspections.
Needed persistent nagging to provide me with a replacement smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector.
Found staff to be very unprofessional and condescending and will be avoiding Northwood like the plague.

Yes, I did receive an email from yourselves to inspect the property in January 2017, I however cancelled this appointment 11 days before a member of your staff allowed herself in to the property which she believed to be empty and began snooping around. (All members of your staff were aware that this appointment had been cancelled)
As for the help we received upon checking out, this was minimal if any. I got a patronising and snobby attitude from the branch manager of all people.
Its a shame the interest which was shown to the property when we checked out, wasn't shown throughout our tenancy. But of course, when there is a considerable amount of money involved, hairs were most certainly split.

We find the staff to be very inefficient, uninterested and ineffective. If you manage to speak with the branch manager you get the same response. They leave repairs such as leaks, damp, broken fridges and broken boilers to worsen, they patronise and charge you for anything they can muster up. They say one thing and do the opposite. They insist on inspections despite the fact you've paid the deposit, they have issue with everything such as hanging pictures and gardening yet they don't help with urgent matters. They patronise with remarks such as "we'll speak to your husband" or "we've already discussed the matter with your husband", "perhaps you should confer with Mr..." We would advise everyone to avoid this place and save yourself a headache and the extra cash they swindle. Avoid!
