These people are clueless in every department. Rude ,unprofessional and not capable of providing the service they claim .Avoid at all costs .When you are paying someone a lot of money to do a job you expect it done properly .These people lie through their teeth ,lack basic understanding of the construction issues involved in housing and use contractors who charge huge amounts for shoddy workmanship ..I have pictures of a boiler that was supposed to have been serviced every year which was a hazard. Disgusting dangerous .They're lucky they didn't wind up in court for what they did .Absolutely rip off merchant's

Urgent???????? be careful when dealing with this company. They will ask for a holding deposit and pretend to do a credit check. They will later come back to you and say you don’t qualify for the Rent and will never pay you back your money. They have taken my £230 for no work done. Be very careful, they will scammed you!!!!

I would give no stars if it allowed me, I’m absolutely disgusted by the “service” of Northwood. We were continuously treated like sheep (being passed around with no organisation or idea of what they are doing) and they care very little about the tenants who live in their properties. We have just moved out after 2 and a half years and they are trying to keep half the deposit on bogus claims. They added causes in the contact (that weren’t there in the beginning) making difficult for early leave of contract and have no concept of good customer service or years of service, bare in mind we were good tenants. I would never recommend this company for anything and feel sorry for anyone who is still having to deal with them.

I'm not one for reviews but I have to share my experience.
After renting my property out through Northwoods (a lot of years), it was time to buy a new property. They had been fantastic at managing the property over the years, with constant communication and regular updates. the property was never left empty for long, just long enough to allow maintenance to be done (By their approved contractors) before new tenants moved in. So based on their professionalism I choose them to handle the purchase.
It just seemed effortless, again communication was spot on, I never once had to call to push along, Sara and Sam seemed to be one step ahead and kept me well informed explaining any issues that might arise, when there was a problem they sorted it all out with a common sense approach.
When the other party seemed to be dragging their heels (solicitors) on completion, there they were again helping the transaction through to the end.
I can not recommend these guys enough, for making everything hassle free, with no stress at all.

Wow! As a cash buyer with no chain I'm regarded in Estate Agency lore as a 'hot' buyer. And as someone who has had many years experience working in Estate agency, I was very surprised to ring up to view a property to be told "Sorry, we are fully booked for that property, so you can't view!!"And this is while the property is still fully available and nothing to do with them being too busy to accommodate on any specific day, as I was entirely flexible. Just a flat out refusal! When I did the job, hot buyers were sacrosanct and property was never 'fully booked'! If I was their vendor/seller, this wouldn't sit well with me...

I wouldn't recommend these people to my worst enemy. Tenants running illegal companies from the property and sub letting. 2 sets of tenants evicted without ever informing us. Extensive damage done and not repaired. The property was attended by several of their suggested contractors to complete works at a huge premium might I add and the standard was poor at best. Rude arrogant attitude from several of the office staff both on the phone and through emails. Nothing is ever their fault and the lies they tell are frankly embarrassing. Had to surrender our contract with them 2 months early just to end the nightmare. Zero integrity and a total disregard for their Landlords welfare.

My experience with Nothwood had its highs and lows. During the tenancy I will say that their responses were quick and they were able to sort problems I had. However, my experience towards the end and the begining were the lows. When I was a tenant, they failed to inform me of the essential information prior to move in such as allocated parking, location of the bins & meters and information incase of emergencies such as lock outs. They also scheduled a house viewing without informing me, first of all breeching the contract and putting me at risk as it was during the coronavirus pandemic and people were to enter my flat. They seem to be shocked that I was at home when they came in during this surprise veiwing and even stated they thought I was not going to be home. Had I not have happened to be home that day, they would have had a house veiwing without my knowledge. At the end of my tenancy they initally tried to take out more than £137 from my deposit. Had I not disputed this with the original inventory that they sent me, I would have had to pay that amount. This shows that they did not review the inventory but wanted to just charge me for anything they could find. My advice as a tenant is please be aware and do not accept the charges that they give you. I have also seen this advice from multiple reviews and believe it from my own experience.

I find them fantastic to deal with and extremely professional.
I have never had any problems and Northwoods ensure everything is taken care of.
Katherine the Branch Director is amazing to deal with , she signed me up in the beginning and her communication and attentive to detail is way above any other agency I dealt with.
Cannot thank Northwoods enough.

Louise is very professional and helpful, a pleasure to work with. I have a fair number of properties; Louise stays on top of all their issues. I am often out of UK so not easy to contact; no problem, Louise makes every possible effort to contact me but if she can't she deals with the issue perfectly.
Lucy is always very helpful, keeping me updated when there are issues with the rent. She always sends my statements on time and is a pleasure to deal with.
Jasmine is professional, happy to help and quick to respond. She is in charge of referencing Applicants to make sure they are suitable for my properties, she keeps me informed throughout the process.
I have no hesitation recommending Northwood and the Team; they are excellent.

Excellent service. We are first time home buyers and had come from having a really bad experience with Jackson Grundy who bullied and pressured us. Brogan reassured us throughout the whole process; chasing things up between the solicitors, always being available when we wanted to visit the property time and again to measure and just being there to support us at every step of the way. We really appreciated the moving in card and gift also.

We used Northwood to sell our tenanted flat in Northampton in January 2019. Brogan was our agent and was a total superstar and made the whole process really easy and hassle free. I never felt the need to have to phone to chase up on an update as Brogan was already ahead of the game and would keep us in the loop on a regular basis. When we needed to push the buyers for exchange and completion dates she was very effective at getting what we needed. Genuinely one of the best selling experiences ever and I could not recommend Northwood and Brogan highly enough.

Northwoods have been managing my property for me for the last two years. I honestly can't speak highly enough of the staff in the office. The girls are incredibly knowledgeable and always super friendly, they feel more like friends than my letting agents and have consistantly gone above and beyond to look after me, my property and my tenants.
I am currently going through the eviction process and the support I have received has been very comforting. Tina and the rest of the team have continued to fight my corner despite my tenants no longer paying rent and therefore their fees.
Whether you're a landlord looking for a management company, or a tenant looking for who to rent through, you wont find better than Northwoods!

If it were possible to give zero stars I would. Northwood Northampton are the worst people we have ever rented from. Numerous lies and problems with the house when we moved in, any time we needed a problem fixing we had to pester and ring daily to get any movement, if they ever say "we'll call you back" they are lying. This is a company that has profited from making the decision that people do not matter and they can do whatever they want. They made the last year hell for my family and I do not have the time or patience to pursue a legal but I would if I could. Pay no attention to what others have said, they are polite on the phone but they do not care for you as Tennant's you are just money and they happily rake it in.

Before we found our new home we offered and started the process with a different property via another estate agents which fell through. After managing my rental property personally for 18 months, I decided it was time I appointed a trusted property agent. I researched the market well, it was very clear Northwood delivered the best value proposition. Northwood found me a suitable tenant within one week of advertising, conducted all the checks & legal requirements and successfully completed the process. My property was only empty for two days, perfect result. In additional, the ongoing management is excellent. I have already required two maintenance jobs, arranged & completed by Northwood. Having the hassell of looking for somewhere to live can always be a long and painful process, or so I thought from past experience.
Northwood were friendly, approachable and efflient whilst helping me find a home and the paperwork that is done behind the scenes. There were never any problems, just solutions to making the whole experience seamless.

I spoke with northwood about letting my property on 09/02/2017, signed the paperwork that day, and a tenant was in the property by 22/02/2017, very quick, very efficient and now I am stress free as I am on a fully managed scheme meaning they take care of everything from security deposits to credit checks to all legal action if needed and the best thing is my rental income is fully guaranteed, thank you.

As an ex Estate and Letting Agent myself I fully understand the pressures the guys at Northwood go through on a daily basis. I cannot fault the exceptional positive attitude of Stephanie, Katherine and Daniel on every call or visit to into the Northampton branch.
Their legal lettings knowledge is second to none and willingness to tackle issues head on in an organised, efficient manner is always appreciated (even with the trivial issues I have endured being in a shared tenancy)

Very disappointed for their service the staffs there are rude and zero responsibility never helpful every staff in there say different thing no matter what the question was.The latest issue was I move away from northampton then I ask for a reference from them then I call them and one of the staff told me I need to pay £30 then I can get the reference immediately from them or they can post to me but because I knew they are all not professional so I already try to confirm every little details before I go to their office to pay and try to get the reference but once I paid the money what they said is they can"t give me the reference,they need other agent or landlord to email them for the reference. What the hell they are doing, it was completely waste my time,then now I already end of my contract and moved out of the property. After a week I check my online banking statement suddenly I notice they still charged my rent for next month. They are not providing any service they are just f****** money sucker
