I would highly recommend Northwood for the excellent level of professionalism which they consistently demonstrated throughout the often, challenging process of selling our home. More familiar with older, more bespoke properties, they valued our house fairly and optimally; this was of great benefit, especially when considering that the market is often dominated by newer, less traditional properties. The conveyancing process in this country can be extremely challenging and stressful, but both Will and George, remained such a professional, calming influence throughout, putting up with a lot of stress and anxiety on my part! George and the team at Northwood have been brilliant in managing the sale of my mum's house. Mum's health meant she was not able to oversee the sale herself, so I have been dealing with George from 150 miles away. Despite being recommended to use a different agent, we decided after meeting a few agents that Northwood was the best fit, and that proved to be a great decision.
The 3D photos were brilliant and the team were super helpful, sensitive and considerate regarding mum's health, remaining flexible to suit her needs.
The house went under offer within just a few days and although the chain had some bumps in the road, Northwood managed it well and we kept our original buyer.
So I'd have no hesitation in recommending George and his team at Northwood.

Avoid Northwood Sandbach & Crewe – Extremely Disappointing Experience!
I want to warn others against renting or buying through Northwood Sandbach & Crewe. I wish I had read the Trustpilot reviews before we rented a property through them.
After moving in, we were shocked to see a For Sale sign outside the house just a month later. We assumed it was a mistake, but when we asked, the agency told us the landlord intended to sell the house with tenants still living there. We were not informed of this beforehand.
To make things worse, the agency started bringing viewers into the property frequently, trying to sell it as soon as possible—while we were still living there. This was already stressful, but things quickly got worse.
The boiler stopped working, leaving us without heating or hot water for two weeks in freezing winter weather. The landlord ignored the issue, and the house began to smell of mould, with mould visibly growing on the walls. When we contacted the agency for help, they simply replied by email: “Deal with the landlord — not our problem.”
Eventually the boiler was fixed, but the problems didn’t stop:
• The kitchen tap was leaking constantly
• The bathroom sink was blocked
• Drainage was broken
• Mould kept spreading across the house
After just five months, we had no choice but to move out. Despite everything, the agency deducted £360 from our deposit for picture hook holes, and £125 for a garden bed where I had planted wildflowers—for bees!
Northwood Sandbach & Crewe do not protect tenants or act in their best interest. I strongly urge all tenants and buyers to stay away from this agency. Consider this a warning based on direct experience.

his mother even has cancer & they still gave his problems, in the damp mouldy house with no boiler working !!
if you ever have the misfortune of being in one of there rentals properties off this company with no moral compass check everything ,

I am grateful to them for their professionalism, reliability, honesty and patience throughout. First time viewing a property through Northwood Sandbach and will unfortunately never be viewing properties represented by this estate agents again. I waited 30 minutes and nobody showed up, called the Sandbach office twice in that time and kept being informed they were 2 minutes away which turned out to be a lie because after 40 minutes there was still a no-show, and even after I left the property I never received any contact from them to say they were there or to apologise. Completely wasted my morning/time driving up to Sandbach for nobody to show up. Poor service and unreliable so I will not be trusting this estate agents in future. The worst thing about it is that I was genuinely interested in buying the property I was viewing.

I've been with northwood for the past few years now and my experience with them have been brilliant, any issue, problem or query they are always available to help and always quick to get back you.
Not once have I felt that they are too busy to deal with you and they always have helped out with whatever it may be.

Utterly hopeless...damp property for over a year. Then held deposit for over 2 months after leaving property saying it smelled of cat pee....despite our complaints of sewage pipe leak. Constant issues and staff less than useless. Never call back. No help whatsoever. Clothes, shoes and property damaged by black mould told to claim on insurance, and withheld part of deposit for some cobwebs and a dirty skirting board. Do not use these people if you wish to rent somewhere decent to live. Only interested in.money and landlords.

Renter beware, they took over 2 months to eventually release our deposit, didn't reply to countless emails, only when a manager was CC'd in did we magically get a response in 5 minutes, at which point they tried to keep a portion of our deposit for things not even discussed. Very shady business practice.

This is one of the worst letting agents I have ever had dealings with. If you’re a landlord they are probably great. As a tenant they will access your property even if you have told them that you wish to be present. The service is appalling. If an issue is raised with the property you will be blamed for it and nothing will be done about it. Avoid if you can. I don’t even want to give one star

Left details on two properties asking to view. Both properties they were supposedly waiting for the keys back. But surprisingly they both sold before I even got chance to view. They didn't ring to let me know they were ready to view. Just sold straight away. I'd imagine the estate agent has sold to a friend or I don't believe they have contacted those that had shown interest myself included. Certainly won't be wasting my time contacting these about a property they are advertising. Very poor service.

This is the most unprofessional letting agents I have ever dealt with. Calls to the office go unanswered, promised callbacks are never materialise, staff appear to be permanently 'out of the office' and none of the staff know what is going on in relation to various properties as only one member of staff appears to have access to property information. What a way to run an office. Office Manager needs to manage the office. Would not recommend.

This is the worst estate agency I have ever dealt with. The consultant was rude and trying to belittle me on the phone after me having to chase for an update on my application rather than them getting in touch with me. Also trying to keep part of my holding deposit for “referencing costs”. I would avoid as landlord has now lost a potential tenant and has to keep the property empty longer meaning loss of income and also as a tenant the hassle is not worth it!

I'm really disappointed about that agency. They start making problems from the beginning. Can't properly take the record of the tenants and make wrong spelling on names, even when they got ID. Really poor respons on costumers needs even when you report maintenance issues. On 2 years living in property they couldn't fix thermostat from the beginning, cannot pick up letters for landlord, instead they only interested of inspection and to cheat you on the end. They try to charge you for some issues which have been reported from the start of letting. When I show them proof of issues then they start explaining the person who was dealing with it is already gone and they didn't have any record. Weird cause I have mine with them on email. Overall could not avoid take money from deposit, cause the really want to take something from tenants so they said - we gonna charge you for curtain poles. Those which wasn't damaged but taken down for cleaning. It was enough to fit them back which I told them. They said is to late because you surrendered keys from home and you need to be charged 60 £ for that pleasure. As a tenant can't recommend this agency but if you decided you need to be prepared they gonna charge you no matter what. One star note in my opinion is too good for them.

Aww, lovely staff however they breached Contract. Signed up on 8 December 2021 and terminated on 12 January 2022. They say they cannot discriminate NHS and Careworkers. I advised I am going through a court case of false imprisonment, Human Rights Breach and discrimination with the NHS.
My requirements were 2 full time workers. Not on temp contracts 1 or 2 children, no pets, non smokers.. One viewer was one adult only. The other was 2 adults one still out of the country. This is a large 3 bed house. Tenants need to be UK residents. A previous declined couple zlso applied. No discrimination took place. Time and effort - zero!

If you’re in need of a Rental Agent I cannot recommend Northwood Sandbach highly enough. We have rented our very precious home through the company for the past 14 months. They pulled out all the stops to secure tenants before Lockdown and were always on hand for both ourselves and our tenants despite the difficulties that Covid caused. Andy and his delightful team were a pleasure to deal with and provided a very “hands on” experience. We have been so impressed by the ease of the Guaranteed Rent scheme that we have changed to another Norwood company to rent out another property that we own in a different area.

We have not rented a house before so it was our luck we found Northwood Sandbach. Northwood are excellent in every way, very responsive, great customer care and service. They treat you as a VIP and valued customer. If you are thinking of renting property in and around Sandbach I would highly recommend Northwood. I would give 6 out of 5 stars.

Had to sell through them despite serious reservations as the property was tenanted through them. Dreadful service throughout the rental - failure to get maintenance carried out despite having my permission led to deterioration and increased cost to me. Calls went unanswered and weren’t returned.
As far as the sale went they contacted me over matters already settled via the solicitor, due I expect to the fact that they took so long to react to queries.
Would not recommend under any circumstances.

We had been living in the house we rent for 2 years when we found out the owner wanted to sell it, and were worried that we were going to have to leave the home we love. Luckily Northwood, knowing that we wanted to carry on renting the house, tried to find an investment buyer willing to keep us on as tenants. As they try so hard to match the right person to the right property, the house sale was agreed after only one viewing, and there was very little disruption to us as tenants. Northwood were always very professional and gave us plenty of notice before viewings, and arranged them when it was convenient for us. I would definitely recommend them.
