I recently sold my property through Palmers & Partners Estate Agents and had a very positive experience throughout the process.
Ollie carried out the initial valuation and was extremely professional and well prepared. He brought along a folder containing detailed research about my property, the local area, and comparable properties that were either currently on the market or had recently sold. His valuation recommendation clearly took a number of important factors into account, which gave me confidence in the pricing strategy.
During the appointment, Ollie also presented a PowerPoint explaining the company, including their recent sales performance over the past couple of months. It was informative and demonstrated their strong activity in the market.
Another point worth mentioning is that Palmers & Partners do not charge sellers or buyers for ID checks, which is a refreshing change compared to many other agents. Their commission rate was also very competitive and lower than several other quotes I had received.
The company also has its own dedicated Sales Progressor. From my previous experience buying other properties, I know how valuable this role is in helping transactions move smoothly, as they liaise between the buyer, seller and both solicitors.
The marketing of the property was excellent, and the results speak for themselves. My property sold within just 5 days, with only two prospective buyers viewing.
The office team are quick to respond to both emails and phone calls, and every member of staff I’ve encountered has been friendly and professional
Overall, I found Palmers & Partners to be professional, transparent and efficient, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property.

I was supposed to have a viewing on Saturday, 17th January 2026 at 2.30pm for a house that I wanted to buy in Chelmsford but the person who was supposed to do the viewing was 20 minutes late. Didn't gave me any notice that is running late. I even confirmed my viewing the same day. Very rude and unprofessional. I would never use this agency for buying, selling or letting

P&P were recommended to us by our solicitors. We didn't know anyone who had used them before but had seen their boards around Chelmsford. Having read a number of positive reviews, we followed the recommendation and appointed them. We were very pleased we did. The team were responsive, knew their market, and provided advice on a fair and realistic sale price. As a consequence, we had a good number of viewings which resulted in two good offers. You then realise the offer is only the start of the process and again, in the post offer phase, P& P were supportive, ensured contact with the buyers when it felt like matters were stagnating with all the questions being raised by the solicitors and ultimately contributed hugely to getting the sale over the line. I had four companies come and value the property. I chose Palmer & Partners as I felt they were experienced, motivated and I liked the suggested plan for marketing and viewings.
Their valuation was not the highest and their fees were not the lowest, but I liked their approach and was advised exactly who would be dealing with me at each stage of the sale.
I decided not to be present during the two days arranged for viewings. I was delighted to receive six offers and accepted one.

Ewan, who did all of our viewings, was always very polite and patient and allowed us time to do what we needed, even when we ran over slightly and it was his birthday! Sorry again Ewan.
Grace, sales progressor, was compassionate, professional and returned every call (even after hours). She was actually more help than our own estate agent, offering support and advice when needed. When we were unable to obtain information from our own estate agents, Grace was always on hand to answer questions or at least try and find the answers we needed. She would always check in with us when she knew our house sale was becoming stressful (unlike our own estate agent) and would offer advice and support which we were clearly not paying her for but she had the foresight to see was needed.

We were with several agents over the last two and half years. None them provided the service we received from Palmers. The two Alfie’s provided a 100% service together with the rest of the staff in the office. Also, went above and beyond even when things got a bit rocky.

Palmer and partner were the first to come,on arrival Alfie introduced himself,I explained why I was selling but got really emotional.this was a really sad time for me selling what was me and my wife home for over 30 years,Alfie sad take your time I can’t see how difficult it is for you.
I said I’m ok,Alfie then asked are you sure you’re ready for this,I said there’s not going to be a good time .
Alfie replied I don’t want to push you into anything.which I thought was very kind and understanding.
Anyway he talked me through the process,I said do you know what I’m going to cancel all the other estate agents and I’m 100% going with you.
Palmer and partner are a newish estate agents but believe me I wouldn’t look any further then them,the dedication the whole of his team show is unparalleled.

We have dealt with Palmer and Partners for a number of years through their Colchester office. When it came to selling our own home we were pleased to find they had a new office in Chelmsford. The service we have received from Alfie and the team in Chelmsford can't be faulted they cared about us as sellers and our individual circumstances.
