We just moved house and two of the properties in our chain were through Parkers Stroud, including the one we were purchasing. These sales were being managed by Matt Flemming. We had to try to get this chain through to completion before Christmas because our buyers were in temporary accommodation with relatives. This only gave us 9 weeks to get everything completed, which in the current market conditions was almost impossible. Matt was absolutely superhuman in managing the whole chain almost single handed. In the last 2 weeks of the process, Matt called us every day to update us and share progress. He dealt with the sellers, buyers, other estate agents and the solicitors. Unbelievably the process was completed within the 9 week target, mainly due to the unwavering commitment of Matt. I would strongly recommend using Matt Flemming at Parkers Stroud, whether you are buying or selling, he gets the job done.

We felt very much looked after during our sale. Harry was enthusiastic and honest about the market, prices and popularity of the area. He got us a quick sale with a trustie buyer. He communicated with us and our buyer all along the process and helped reassure when things got a little stressful. He is very passionate in what he does, with ith a lot of knowledge. This enable the sale to go through smoothly. Justin and Matt where exceptional when it came to an issue which could have hindered our sale. They went over and above contacting relevant persons and enabled us to keep our buyer. The team really did support us over and above to enable our sale. Unfortunately we had a poor experience with Matt here. We had a viewing booked at the end of the day and it was clear from the moment we arrived that Matt was not interested in taking the time to show us around. Whether that's because he had somewhere to be or (more likely) I suspect he'd already decided he wanted a different prospective buyer and therefore wasn't interested in showing us the property properly.
He spent less than 15 minutes for the whole viewing and was rushing through each room, begrudgingly answering any questions we had, always with one foot in the next door trying to usher us out.
We put in an offer which was rejected, however when I tried to make further offers Matt never called me back. I left multiple messages with colleagues or voicemails, always with the promise that he'd get back in touch. Days passed and I finally got in touch only to be told that the vendor had accepted an offer. I was bemused as I said we were still actively making offers and why was my call never returned?
He was curt and said it was a done deal which is unacceptable as I had been trying to get in touch for several days. Unsurprisingly it turns out our final offer was higher than the one the vendor had already accepted, which he reluctantly had to pass on.
Whether it's because he would receive a bigger bonus with the other prospective "hot" buyers as they were taking out other products with Parkers, or because he just wanted to close the sale quickly, I do not know.
What I do know is, as a prospective vendor, I would be very careful about choosing Parkers due to the strange work ethic - they do not seem to have the vendors best interest at heart.
And as a prospective buyer, be prepared to chase daily just to get your offer across.

We spent the weekend starting our property search and contacted various agents within the area - We spoke with a Gentleman at Parkers who made us feel rushed and made us feel he was not taking any interest in what we were looking for. Terrible experience. For this people mean loyalty and no problematic tenants nothing, just sucking money. I had always tenancy agreement from Sept to Sept , but last year they secretly changed it from October ( I could read papers more carefully but after 5 years I became sill and they little lie was done ) so now I leaving and have to pay one extra month, absolutely no room for negotiation and I was in the house 6 years, paid all on time and never complained about anything. Stay away from them . Also my friend tried sell his house for months with parkers then he changed it to someone else else and was sold in two weeks.

I had a very negative experience as a buyer and found the team to be untrustworthy. I will never sell with them and reccomend others against doing the same.
If you're a buyer, beware as Parkers have form for running multiple buyers On a property. You risk being Gazumped.
We were buying in Q3/4 2020 (Arundel drive). We asked Parkers to confirm no other buyers were running in tandem. We were gazumped days before we were due to exchange. We were a family with a 2 year old and another due shortly and almost made temporarily homeless and lost £500+ in solicitor fees as a result.
Legal advisors and other agents have told me that Parkers would have known another buyer was progressing but decided not to tell me, despite my previous request for transparency
I was advised to take Parkers to the professional ombudsmen but couldn't be bothered.
They list good properties and were punctual. That got them two stars.
I wouldn't work with them. Clearly there are cultural issues high up if this kind of behaviour is tolerated.

I cannot rate Parker’s in Stroud highly enough!
Incredibly professional team and service without feeling like pushy salespeople.
Matt helped to sell our house in Stonehouse quickly and achieved the price we were after. They even provided honest, friendly advice when buying our next property from another agent in a different area.
Will hopefully need to use them again in the future.

Their recent valuation of my property was an eye-watering £75k less than two other agents!
The same happened when they valued an earlier property!

Ruthless liers. Parkers advertised my neighbours property as having an enclosed rear garden when its nothing of the sort. The garden has a clear right of way into 2 neighboring gardens. They also advertised the right off way path as being 2 parking spaces which would essentially block us from using our gardens ! I even heard Parkers telling a prospective buyer that we don't use our gardens !! Dirty moves by the sellers and parkers to inflate the price and take advantage of the neighbors.

We spoke to a Gayle Edwards in the Stroud office and she was very helpful. She talked us through our different options and what things to look out for.
She went out of her way to accommodate us and when we do make a decision about a property we will contact her to finalise things.

The worst rental experience I have ever had.
We are a young couple, I am five months pregnant.
Parkers misrepresented the availability of the property we rented, failed to inform us of extensive building work to be done and put us in a substandard and frankly dangerous house (I fell through some six feet decking, with no apology from agent or landlord). There were even live electrical sites in the house! I naively took the house because I loved it, and now we are looking at a cold and totally compassionless process to terminate the tenancy.

With my honest and personal review of this shambles of an estate agent.
I could list and list what has happened through my personal experience but I get more angry and upset with every word I type.
Avoid at all costs. If you are looking to let or rent.
I would choose a different company.

The Parkers team were really supportive and helpful. I had a very limited time to find a property and move in, and Parkers did everything possible to make it happen. The only area that may be improved is that the photos on the listings could be more comprehensive to show the properties in full. Otherwise, excellent.
