Paton's have a consistent five star rating for a reason. They are excellent.
In my case, I had a hideous, extended house sale with a dropped house chain and some desperately difficult people further up the chain from those buying my place. No fault of Paton's at all, but they helped recover, what looked like, a moribund sale and put the broken pieces back in place.
Throughout the whole process, Tamara, Alice and co were the voices of reason and intelligence. They kept the lid on my bubbling stack on more than one occasion, and negotiated for a decent outcome.
Use Paton's. You won't regret it.

We bought our property through Paton&Co in September 2025. From the first enquiry we sent; to the picking up of the keys, the whole team were professional and very friendly. We met and worked with a lot of the team, all of whom demonstrated a very keen sense of market awareness but also gave good advice when questioned on the local area. We primarily dealt with Tamara but as we were proceeding at pace to complete before the start of the school term, the whole Paton&Co team were on hand and had the most up to date information - as far as progress on the purchase was going - at the drop of a hat.
Paton&Co also recommended a conveyancing firm, who I too would recommend to anyone going through a move. 22Law were very good and were able to help us move house (from initial offer to completion) in the space of 11 weeks, enabled massively by the fantastic Paton&Co team.
Even though we only purchased property through the team, having seen the very high standards they work to deliver the products and marketing of a property, I honestly would put your confidence in them to sell without hesitation.

We came to Paton & Co as potential buyers; having been most taken with the way our viewing was conducted we asked Patrick to view and advise on the sale of our cottage. I can highly recommend Paton & Co for buying and/or selling your property. They are a refreshing change from the more corporate side of the business, giving a far more personal experience and a very professional and efficient one at that. Although it is Paddy and Celia at the helm, I feel the entire team work as one, and are friendly, helpful and protective of clients, shielding a lot of the more awkward times that the property business throws up. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and would suggest if you are thinking of a shift, you don’t go anywhere else either. They are hugely experienced and incredibly knowledgeable along with being very efficient. I was looking to sell my property in the Chirnside area, and needed a fairly quick sale since I wanted to relocate closer to family.
I contacted Patrick and Paton and Co, and he arranged a visit to look around the house. He was well presented, well dressed, professional and very knowledgable of the property market. I trusted him to proceed to take care of the sale of the property.
He organised everything for the sale, including photography and a 3D tour, which was to a very high standard. Within less than a day of the house being on the market he already had viewings booked in, and around a week later we had a very good offer on the property that I had accepted.
Unfortunately the first buyer could not complete the sale, which was unexpected, but Patrick found a new buyer within days. I was very impressed, and was relieved as I had already relocated expecting the sale to complete. It turned out a blessing in disguise, as Patrick got a better offer than I ever imagined, and the house sale was complete within less than 2 months.
Patrick was very professional throughout the service, informing me of viewings, and keeping me updated. Throughout the process of the sale he was easily available, and also able to offer extra support after I had vacated the property, such as allowing trades people into the property to carry out maintenance before the completion.
I would highly recommend Patrick and Paton and Co, and couldn't have asked for a better service.

Having moved several times over the past few years we have experienced all the (few) highs and (many) lows of High Street and On-line Estate Agents so, reading Paddy's brochure, marketing information and hearing from him on how he promised to provide a more bespoke and personal service through limiting his number of marketed properties, we thought it would be worth a try.
We were absolutely delighted with the result! Paddy and Celia have been first class. Having first spoken to Paddy some 18 months before we bought, he was the only person that followed up my calls and regularly kept in touch to make us feel like he was working for us. It was great good fortune which steered us to Paton & Co to bring our property to the market.
The house was superbly presented to the buying public and expertly and professionally managed by Paddy Paton. On the first full day of viewing he secured in excess of a dozen potential purchasers, took over the house for a day to manage the viewings himself and effectively sold the house on Day 1. With his in depth 20 plus years’ experience of the property market and exceptional interpersonal skills he secured for us a financial settlement far in excess of our most ambitious expectations.
