We have been looking after homeowners, landlords, buyers and tenants across the North East for over 40 years. We will be happy to carry out an initial free valuation, prior to listing. We are pro-active in selling properties and have a large applicants' register. If we are instructed we are happy to carry out accompanied viewings without any additional charge. As well as being based in Hexham we have a regional centre that takes calls outside of office hours to give you a full service. We work on a No Sale No Fee basis.

Pattinsons grossly over priced my property, possibly by nearly 50%. I received apologies for this but I think it caused problems in the sale of the house. They recommended selling it via auction which I'm not convinced was the best way of selling it. The property is no longer on the market. Pattinson I have found as a buyer to be an unusually caring family team style business. And calling by at their office and meeting the team and eg Nick who certainly was based here in 2024 it was very cheering for my house hunt. In fact it probably was seminal / really key to my buying a very good buy by their Pattinson's excellent online traditional auction terms, 'when the gavel drops' type way but without the pressures and fears of an auction room, house sales, when I called in to their Hexham office and talked through what I was looking for with Nick. A couple of caring lady staff are or were also in the office team when I called in of the day. Pattinson I have found to be keeping up a top of the estate agencies' order of quality of phone answering staff too in dealing with potential buyers. Nick also gave me an excellent viewing of one of the properties on their books at Haltwhistle at the time . Seeing how he could fit me in for a viewing end of a day. Sadly it is far too rare that estate agents staff as Nick very much did so, seem to enjoy their work in a caring way for those if us who find it very hard indeed to find slots of tine to view with agents 9 to 5 and availability levels these years . .That's how it is but it's not we buyers fault and getting upset with us because we can't make the rare slots they can offer us . And we have a fairly important matter to hand !: this will be our very life corner place in finding any good enough and good house home . So unlike sadly a lot of what the reality is if seeking a house home now 2025 2026... Nick gave me a kind non rushed amicable good kind friendly concerned caring time. The house in question was but the job for me , but it sold bit long after as one would think with a salesmen such as Nick's way he showed to me . So this review is for Pattinson as my top estate agents plus online auctioneers dual business as they run. But also for Nick and the Hexham office as a whole and the good lady boss of it who was very polite and helpful on first contact with them . My experience as a buyer through Pattinsons has been very poor. After showing an interest in bidding on an auction property I was relentlessly phoned, texted and emailed every day, and sometimes multiple times per day. This was despite explaining to each caller that I have a solicitor who is advising me, and that, all being well with the property, I will bid before the end of the auction. Eventually, I had to be very stern and respond not to contact me again or I will not bid. Although the staff calling were friendly and polite it was too much hard sell, and too intrusive when I was trying to do other things and expecting other calls. This wasn't just a problem with Pattinsons Hexham. I'd also viewed two properties on the coast through a different office, and was constantly called by them too, even after I repeatedly said I'd purchased a property in Hexham! Although I did buy the property, I felt the auction fees were too expensive for a low priced property, and I had to reduce my bid to accommodate it. It would be better to have a percentage system. I was also forced to pay for the searches by the vendor's solicitor, which were not complete and my own solicitor had to do the work as well. The vendor's solicitor then also tried to make me pay £500 towards the vendor's legal costs, as well as my own, which my solicitor took up with Pattinsons auction house as there was no mention of this in the auction pack. Four weeks after getting the keys to the property, the Pattinsons sold board has not yet been removed. My experience with Pattinsons hasn't been good, and I consider the company to have 'fly by night' practices. For improvement: 1. Only make contact in response to the buyer's calls or if new, important information arises about the property. 2. Make sure the legal pack contains all of the information needed. 3. Don't expect the buyer to pay any of the vendor's legal fees. 4. Change the auction fees to a percentage system rather than a minimum charge. 5. Arranged to have the for sale/sold board carefully removed on the day the auction closes. Following my experience, I won't use Pattinsons again or recommend to anyone else.... Read more

Been house hunting for a while. Genuinely shocked how often I've tried and failed to view some Hexham properties. Agents just not returning calls. Emails just never being answered. I've watched some properties go down and down in price while thinking...I'd put in a bid if only you'd let me go and see it. The poor vendors! I had one absolutely bizarre experience with a well-known Hexham agent. I just don't understand the trade and why, when you're dealing with hundreds of thousands of pounds - you're not treating every call/email as a potential big money deal. Anyway - five stars to Keith Pattinson. The only agent, so far, who has not only answered phones and got back to me in a timely manner - but has also even processed emails and offers outside of working hours. It's appreciated....
