They understand the local market and their pricing and marketing were accurate and secured us a buyer very quickly. Unfortunately this sale was unsuccessful, however they remarketed for us swiftly and within days we had an offer which has now successfully exchanged. The whole team at Forest Hill have been professional throughout and we have mostly worked with Ben & Dan. Worst customer service ever. My partner and I went in to enquire about renting a new flat and were met with total disregard and disrespect from a middle aged woman with a bleach blonde bob. As soon as we said we were there about renting and not buying she stood up and didn’t let us sit - she cut us off and was clearly uninterested as we weren’t there to buy. She was rude about not buying and clearly thought we were just young people wasting her time. Jokes on her though because when we do buy, it won’t be from them! She asked us why we weren’t looking online and we explained that we have a small cat so wanted to talk to a person face to face about how that would work. She laughed in our faces and told us nowhere would let us rent with a cat. When we told her we’ve been renting with our cat for years she said “why can’t you just stay in that flat then?”. We explained about our current flat having lots of problems and she said “well what do you expect from a place that lets you own a pet?” We quickly vacated the shop as her entire demeanour was rude - borderline nasty and totally fake. If you are a young person they won’t take you seriously, won’t even let you sit down so don’t waste your time with this horrible place.

Pedder have been brilliant with the sale of my flat in Forest Hill over the last few months. I had initial contact with the Director Daniel who was very informative about the state of the property market and advised me on how best to market the property.
From then onwards, I dealt with Ben, who was superb throughout the process. The actual sale was not always smooth due to some complications with the buyer's solicitor and the property management company. However, for me, communication is king and Ben was exceptional at reassuring me with any concerns throughout the process and ensuring that both myself and the buyer were kept in the loop at all times.

I chose Pedder as they had a better understanding of the uniqueness of the property and its value (we received offers in excess of the asking price and £100k higher than the starting price recommended by the other agents).
The process was managed well, particularly when our first buyers pulled out in November. Pedder advised keeping the house on the market and we had 3 acceptable bids within days.
The property was empty and Pedder took care to always leave the house as they found it. In my experience, a first-class team.

Went through a very very long and protracted purchase of a flat with Pedder, 15 months of uncertainty and legal wranglings (through no fault of their own), but they - namely Sarah and Daniel in the Forest Hill office - guided us through pretty well, and we’re extremely patient withbus in the days when we just wanted to shout at everyone to ask why nothing had changed on the solicitors side.
Only reasons it’s not 5 stars: Our initial contact wasn’t particularly good and could have done more to chase the vendor but believe that person has now left, Daniel/Sarah picked up the case from April 2018 and did brilliantly. The other issue is as with all agents you only get about 10 minutes max to look round a property you hope to spend a lot of money on, so you feel like you’re being rushed around. Not unique to Pedder, though of course.

Buying my first flat was more complicated than anticipated (solicitors leaving, chains breaking etc). Without the help of Sarah Hickmott (Pedder Property Consultant) the outcome would not have been successful. She was able to talk to all the parties involved, made sensible suggestions and kept things moving. She is a skilled communicator, joined up thinker and remarkably calm!

I can not thank Reinis Pauls (and the team) at FH Pedder enough for being a great agent on my recent house purchase. Reinis (Ray) was always helpful, polite, calm and just well informed on every level. He was particularly helpful when I encountered a hiccup at exchange and the seller almost pulled the plug (not helpful) but he kept everyone calm and we got over the hump. I would 100% recommend Pedder after my experience and intend to use them again in the future.
