With 4 sharers moving in together there were a few hurdles to us securing the place however she worked hard to resolve them quickly and professionally to ensure we could move in by our move in date. He was very accommodating in arranging viewings matching my availability and followed up my inquiry quickly. Submitting an offer to purchase was straightforward. All communicatio were prompt, which frankly is what matters the most to me. I can't speak for selling a property, but fir buying I can certainly recommend this branch.

In fact given the miserable time I way having with my conveyancing solicitor safe to say they helped keep the wheels on the transaction. 10/10
7th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)I rarely leave reviews, but our experience with Metro Village was easily the worst renting experience we’ve had. When we viewed the flat, Nick told us the main window — which was completely shattered — would be repaired before we moved in. Once we moved in and followed up, the agency said there was no record of that agreement and the repair never happened. Our letting manager Kevin was extremely difficult and unprofessional to deal with from the start. Emails regularly went unanswered, calls were avoided, and it was very clear he had no interest in helping tenants — despite us paying close to £30,000 per year in rent. Instead of helping resolve issues, he consistently sided with the landlord. Throughout the tenancy, important repairs were ignored and communication was extremely poor. It often felt impossible to get any clear response or action. Another frustrating issue was that the flat contained old items left by the agency (including used bedding and broken things) that we were told we couldn’t remove. This made it feel like the flat wasn’t really ours to live in freely, despite paying full rent. The most concerning part was the deposit process. We were presented with a long list of charges for small items — things like £5 for a lightbulb or £18 for a spatula that had clearly been used long before our tenancy. Many of these charges felt excessive and difficult to justify. If you rent through them, I strongly recommend using the official deposit protection scheme adjudication process if there are disputes. Once the charges had to be formally reviewed and justified, several of them suddenly changed. Even after agreeing the final amount, it still took weeks of chasing emails to actually receive the deposit back. Overall this was a very frustrating experience with poor communication, unresolved issues, and a difficult deposit process. I hope this review helps future renters make an informed decision.

Our sale took longer than planned, through no fault of The Address, and throughout the process Linda was regularly checking in to see how we were progressing and whether there was anything she could do to help. She was fantastic at acting as a go?between when we were getting stuck between solicitors, and she helped move things along so we could complete on our preferred date. I would highly recommend The Address. Our experience as buyers was that they were with us every step of the way.

25th Feb 2026 (21 days ago)I recently sold a property with Acorn, and having had time to reflect on the experience, I wanted to share a few observations. First, I was strongly advised to market the property within a price range and to aim for the higher end of that range. Given current market conditions, this didn’t feel like the right strategy. Ultimately, I deferred to their experience. However, the property ended up selling for £10,000 below the lower end of the original range. From my perspective as both a seller and a buyer, it’s more natural to have a starting price and negotiate (down), rather than inflating expectations and the starting price point. Second, when the buyer raised concerns about potential joist issues in what is an Edwardian property, the messaging felt inconsistent. One week I was reassured that the survey was fine and the joists were not an issue. The following week, I was advised to reduce the price to “mitigate risk” and secure the sale — despite the agreed price already being significantly below the initial range. This shift left me feeling that the priority may have been securing the transaction (and therefore the agents fee), rather than fully representing my best interests. Finally, since receiving the letter confirming the revised sale price before exchange, I have not heard anything further from the agent. The lack of follow-up has made the experience purely transactional, with little sense of ongoing service or interest in my future business. Overall, while the sale did complete, the advice and communication could have been more consistent, transparent, and aligned with my position as the client.
