Rob went over and beyond to get me a viewing as soon as I saw the sale board, if it wasn’t for Rob going out of his way making the effort and fitting me into his busy schedule I wouldn’t have probably got the house. Because of Rob I was the first to view the house the first to put an offer and it was accepted more a less straightaway.
Rob kept me updated throughout the purchase even when things took longer than expected he answered my calls and gave me reassurance as a friend would. He understood how anxious I was but reassured me. I couldn’t thank him enough and i will always remember him for going out of his way on that day to book me that viewing. Because of Rob I today have my dream home. Thank you so much Rob and I will be sure to invite you over once I am settled.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU ARE RENTING!
I rented with Petty's for just over 2 years. I lived in an shockingly damp and moldy house that I uploaded multiple different reports on their portal for renters, I emailed them about the same and even more problems, I messaged the landlord about the same problems and absolutely nothing got done. Both me and my partner have asthma which was made so much worse by the damp and mould. All we could do was clean the mould off every time it rained (which is often in the UK). Every 3 months someone from Petty's would come and do a house check and every time we showed them the extent of the damp and mould and all we got was "no you can't live like this" and absolutely nothing after they had left. The landlord is to blame just as much as Petty's but we had zero help from them and no updates on anything unless I asked first. Our landlord would show up to the house at maybe 10 at night with no advance warning when he needs to give a minimum of 24 hours notice. He would ring and text us at 2 in the morning. We let Petty's know all of this and they did absolutely nothing about it. I could write forever on all the problems I had but overall, I have rented with many different letting agents and this is the worst by far.

I decided to go with Pettys after ringing round a few agents. They were professional and transparent about fees. I had a query about borrowed light and they went out of their way to get an answer for me. The photos were of a really high standard.
My property sold quickly, but fell through at the last minute.
Ali dealt with my sale. He has a very gentle and calm demeanour, which was great, especially when I was stressed! He found another buyer quickly and kept me up to date with what was going on. He was friendly and easy to communicate with and helped with chasing things up.
Buying and selling can be very stressful but Ali was very pleasant to deal with and helpful and professional throughout the process.

Extremeley poor service, didn't notify me about issues the tenant had pulled up (made an excuse it was during the Christmas period) which ended up with me having to spend multiple thousands to sort out the damage. When I tried to get some compensation from them they said they'd look into it, they ended up offering me about £50. When I explained why they should they basically said yeah that's our bad but we can't help you.
The tenant then left and it took me a while to sort out the issues. So on top of the costs, I was paying a mortgage without being able to get a tenant in. There inability to do the most simple job - tell me about a tenant complaint, costed me probably about £5,000 overall.
They may respond saying we did eventually tell you, however, the truth is they told me when the tenant had had enough and decided to leave and whilst conducting the end of tenancy report of the property, realised about it and notified me of the issue. By then it had been occuring for 6 months and the damage had been done.
If you want to pay for a service and risk something like the above situation happening go for it but you are much better off paying a little bit more for an actual proffesional service. Things do happen every now and then but to offer no compensation as well is just horrible business.

I drove over an hour to view this house. The agent saw me arrive, ignored me, and went inside without a greeting. When she finally spoke, the first thing she asked was, “Your name?” without even introducing herself. She knew nothing about the property. I know it’s not a high-end house, but I still expect some level of professionalism and basic manners. Very poor experience. Completely waste of time.

We have been very lucky to have had Kaitlyn as our property manager! She has always been polite, understanding and certainly patient. She has never let us down in our two years in our property, and she has always delivered for us even when it was under difficult circumstances. Although sometimes I was slightly frustrated or disappointed with Petty in general, if it was not for Kaitlyn I would have been left highly dissatisfied and disappointed with the service. Be very weary of the rental dept. They are proven liar's and are extremely lazy. Can not go in to many details on here as i promised i wouldn't but they really do need calling out. Some landlords may loose out because of the tea girls in the office playing god in who does and dose not get there houses. They do not always make the right choices for landlords and if you choose to use these my advice is to double check the job you are paying them for is done correctly and not on the word of a disgruntled compulsive liar with zero life skills.

Absolutely sickening treatment by this vile company
I gave pettys my notice all the way back in October, a full FIVE MONTHS NOTICE
the whole reason for moving out is because of the unlivable conditions pettys happily left me in for 15 months (waterfall from the ceiling in the lounge, soaked and stinking carpets, flies flying all over the lounge space)
There is so much more going wrong with this house that I can't even put it all into a review, but pettys happily ignores your emails for months and months on end, as long as the rent money is coming in why should they care about your health and safety?
Then after moving out after my FIVE MONTH NOTICE PERIOD .... the absolute scum that makes up petty real decide to try to charge me 2 months of rent in arrears after I vacated, citing that I didn't give them any notice, after living like an animal in their house for over a year while they refused to carry out repairs they spit in my face further by trying to con me out of money AFTER I vacate
Do not rent from this disgusting estate agent, they are difficult to deal with, they won't respond to emails, they do not care about your safety or wellbeing in their properties, they have absolutely zero compassion even when I was begging them to fix the property leak for Christmas
Even property ombudsman have difficulty in dealing with these people

From a house falling apart, flooded lounge floor, gas leak that has resulted in a number of hospital visits, and Kaitlin from pettys does not even have the decency to respond to my emails, because it's easier to ignore an email than it is to have some decency and respect and take 15 seconds to respond and help resolve a difficult and unsafe situation I am in due to poor maintenance of this property
A quick response comes when an official complaint is submitted but that doesn't last long
Environmental health are currently involved in this situation due to petty reals preference to ignore serious problems rather than engage with the tenant to fix issues that have been ongoing for almost a year and a half
Despite the house having been unlivable for most of the time I have lived here, all rent has been paid in full and on time, which is thoroughly undeserved but clearly as long as rent money is coming in nothing else matters
I cannot wait to get out of the neglectful clutches of petty real and would sooner pitch a tent in the woods than agree to rent a property managed by petty real again

Petty by name, not by nature!
I had an excellent experience renting an apartment at Northlight via this agency. All interactions with their staff were very polite and efficient, the process of collecting and returning keys was seamless, and at the end of the tenancy the deposit was returned in full.
Previous experience with letting agencies has been mixed at best, and often led to disputes and unfair charges when ending the tenancy, but this was not the case with Petty Real at all.

Time wasters!
Made a booking for a valuation on a commercial property I’m looking to sell.
Said valuation took less than 10 min and it was pretty clear he did not want to be there!
Weeks later I received an email for nearly 200 quid for a written valuation which I accepted despite the lacking enthusiasm from the initial valuation…. No response
I sent another email to confirm I’d still like the written valuation, again no response!
And this seems to be the recurring theme.
If your looking for a professional estate agent look elsewhere, unless of course your selling a big top in which case give these clowns a call!

Used Petty to sell my property recently. Reece came to do my valuation and Emily came to do the photography. I had so many viewings which they arranged and attended their selves and also worked really hard on the negotiations with all of the offers and kept me thoroughly informed. Jess and Emily have been my main points of contact throughout and have been amazing at chasing all parties involved- amazing ladies and never made me feel a hinderance (although I was on the phone to them constantly!)- Thankyou both so much!
The only negative- which is not a reflection on the Petty Real team at all, is I would recommend NOT using their solicitors. They were rude, ignorant and it made this entire process so stressful, thankfully Jess, Emily and Reece helped in the communication channel.

First of all you dont deserve any stars..I rented a property in foulridge which was a year of hell after a few weeks of moving in problems started.bathroom . Flooded twice through the kitchen ceiling from the bathroom..only one job was done in a year. Suffered bad chilblains on my fingers for 4 months due to cold and damp in the house which they ignored and told them I was off work with it but they didnt care . Even got council involved cause the low life landlord couldn't be bothered to do the jobs whats needed.. Things were still difficult because of the current market but Michelle did not give up. having ran a large pub chain for several years in the past i think of my self as a little bot of a touchy person when it comes to customer service. i must say Michelle you pulled out all of the stops, you understood my position and the barriers that were resulting in me not getting a tenancy. I'm currently in the process of renting my first property and numerous letting agents have immediately dismissed me and have not given me the time of day due to my age, so when I arranged a viewing with Petty estate agents I was shocked to discover how great the service is. We recently viewed a house in Colne, which we have been accepted for. This would not be the case if it wasn't for the effort of the people there, In particular Michelle.
Since the first phone call Michelle has been extremely professional. She has listened to everything I have had to say, Addressed every question and concern that I've had and made everything in this frankly stressful and daunting process clear and easy to get my head around. A polar opposite to other letting agents, she has been extremely helpful in so many ways. She's been very responsive to my emails and phone calls, and has also gone the extra mile in putting in a good word to the landlord after not just judging me on the first 30 seconds of a phone call. And all of this comes with enthusiasm and a really personal, light hearted touch without any pressure.

It’s pot luck as to which estate agent you purchase a house from. You fall in love with the house, not the estate agent (although I’m sure that happens from time to time).
So 2022, and I’m buying a house. It’s been fraught with anxiety, especially as my link in the chain was holding everything up.
My wife and I, had pursued a property and were just weeks off completing, when we realised that the agent had lied about restrictions placed on the property and fees, charged by a property management group.
We pulled out of the sale and lost the money we had paid our solicitor.
Obviously this meant that we were naturally wary of the next estate agent we would deal with. However I needn’t have worried- because Petty Real, and especially Jess Chung in the Burnley office were brilliant.
Jess was a breath of fresh air, one cannot help smiling when hearing her voice. She kept us abreast of any developments, liaising with the vendor and answering queries. The thing we really liked about Petty was that there was always someone at the end of the phone- and it was usually Jess.
We’re in our new home now, and , we would like to thank Petty Real for their professional and friendly approach to customers. Thank you again to everyone at the Burnley branch, especially Jess - she’s a real asset

Petty real lost the only set of keys to the property that we purchased. When a locksmith came out to replace the locks, he informed us that Petty had only paid for the front door to be changed and if we wanted to get the back doors done we would have to pay for it ourselves. When Petty was phoned they responded with 'we paid for the front locks and that's it'....pretty poor response and now we're £100 out of pocket through no fault of our own!

Jess was really helpful throughout the full process, but keys where lost and only one lock had been replaced and paid for by Petty Real, not even a goodwill gesture to say that we will be reimbursed with the £100 it cost to replace the back locks.

We've just sold a property for the first time using Petty and I'd really highly recommend them. Not having sold a property before, I was originally just going to go with an online estate agent but was really impressed with Petty when they came around to do the valuation. Their professionalism and local knowledge are excellent.
We had a challenging sale, as we lost our buyers at the end of the process - the team at Petty did absolutely all they could to keep the sale alive, but it wasn't to be. But they quickly found us new buyers within a week.
Our second sale was a lengthy process, but Emily was really great at keeping us up to date, chasing for updates and trying to keep the whole process moving. She always did what she said she was going to do and was easily contactable by email and phone. We sold our home with Petty Burnley branch and we viewed a number of properties as a prospective buyer.
The Office team: Very responsive and proactive, Sarah Blake in the office has excellent customer services skills, she is extremely professional and helpful with the multitude of enquires we had.
Agents/viewing staff: All very friendly and without sales patter and pushiness.
What the agent said would happen with regards to viewings, didn't happen all of the time - as a buyer and as a seller, on occasion, there were agents showing us/our prospective buyers who did not know anything about the property and referred you/buyers back to the office. This is frustrating because as a seller you provide a lot of information about the property upfront to avoid this back and forth.

Myself and my partner were looking for a house for a long time. We had enquired with other estate agents and we were met with poor service and unprofessional staff. However, we found an amazing property listed with Petty Real Burnley and put an offer in. There were no ‘bidding wars’ it was a lovely smooth process. Sarah Blake and her team are excellent and we can’t commend them enough! They accommodated our needs for a second viewing and worked around us. We had so many questions which needed to be answered as first time buyers and Sarah did a fantastic job! I could email and 5 minutes later there would be a response. Agent was late however there was an issue with traffic queues locally. He was chatty and friendly throughout the viewing and knew most of the property's details. Access to all of the property was not possible and prevented in some areas by a missing key.

I recently bought a property advertised with Petty. Firstly, I would give their mortgage advisor (Julie) her due, she is no nonsense, straight talking and managed to source a lender when I wasn’t confident of qualifying for a mortgage. Her knowledge of the market is irreproachable. The sales team were proactive and kept following up on a drawn out sale that took a long time. I have also chosen to let the property through them, and have a number of viewings booked in good time after appointment. Highly recommend!

Very poor service trying to sell my house with Petty's - we had to chase for feedback on viewings, when we got the feedback, it was a sentence of a maximum 4 words which didn't help us at all, this was because the agent showing potential buyers around was not proactive in questioning. Our house was never sold with them. Only reason I have given 2 stars and not 1 star is because we had a worse experience with PurpleBricks - who take your money to sell your house beforehand and then don't do anything to sell it

-5 S T A R S Your service is a waste of time!!!!!! No reference to contact the person in charge of viewing. So after taking off the afternoon from work at great cost to myself and for traveling for over an hour to turn up to the appointment 20 minutes late because the horrendous traffic in Colne (And no way of contacting the person in charge, who rang with an "unknown" number earlier that day to confirm the appointment.), without even a courtesy call to see if everything was okay or if something had occurred. Rather members of staff would waste time sitting twiddling thumbs until he can lock up and leave, without consideration for anyone.
To summarise, I would not use your service even if I was paid to use it. Communication standards are a disgrace, and unprofessional. I will deter anyone who tries to use Petty's in the future. K E E P Y O U R M O N E Y
