myself and my wife have been in our property rented through keenans for three months now, from previous negative experience with our old landlord/letting agents we were pleasantly surprised with keenans service. they've been so professional from the moment of the viewing with james C to then being offered the property and the whole process of moving in with phillipa it's all been flawless. every question answered all peace of mind. then when we moved in we had a slight issue and our property manager kerris was on it straight away and had the issue fixed the day after. now we've been in the property 3 months we've just had our inspection and it was conducted by james C. it was good to see him as he did the initial viewing of the property. he was very professional and listened to any concerns we had and i feel he will report back to the relevant team. I have no concerns with keenans. the service has been brilliant and would highly recommend..

I would not hesitate to use Keenan's again for a sale or a purchase. We have had a lot of back and forth to get a sale agreed, not a fault of Keenan's, but they were in touch throughout it all. The service I have received has been excellent, Harry was very polite and professional and once I had made an offer, Molly kept me updated with weekly messages. She was available by telephone for any additional queries.

Keenans' James Crockett is friendly and professional in everything he does. He should be a role model for all letting agents and Keenans should be proud to employ him. He shows empathy towards tenants but it is never patronising. He has a vast amount of knowledge and is keen to hear what tenants what to have say and feel regarding properties. He also keeps the landlords in mind at all time, focusing only on major concerns. Although you don't win any prizes and he doesn't come bearing gifts like Santa, think yourself lucky when he comes knocking on your door every six months. James is one of the best.

We had a visit recently with James who was a very pleasent man from Keenans my husband took him around the house we have been in for a few short months along with our 30 year old grandson who was in work at the time so did not meet him .
After viewing all over here James told us our home has been kept really clean and tidy , which I was pleased to hear despite having a bunk-bed area in small bedroom that is still stacked with boxes that need to be unpacked as yet, so thank you for agreeing to our renting here in a nice quiet area with a canal five minutes away which is lovely to go walking along when it is sunny and warm especially .. meeting people and having short chats with strangers , seeing ducks and geese swimming around in the water and fish floating around here and there really relaxing , so this is a great thing Keenans did for us being pensioners..

About to rent a property with Keenan’s. It is incredibly hard to secure a rented property at the moments as they just go so fast. We registered interest on our new property but the tenants before us were still living in the property at the time it went on the rental market. We were added to a waiting list and received a phone call for a viewing. We were shown round the property and the lady couldn’t be more helpful. We are new to the area and were still learning the bearings of the local area. The lady was really knowledgeable and pointed us in the direction of new schools etc for our children.
Once our application was received Emily dealt with directly and she couldn’t be more helpful and reassuring us through the application process. Again a really friendly lady who couldn’t do enough for us.

As per a lot of the other reviews, from a buyers perspective very poor experience…“negotiators” openly lying about prices and offers and for the seller, causing them to lose out. The viewing experience was the only positive, a really nice lad who was smart and knowledgeable. Everything after that with Alex and Niomi was pretty shocking. Lies, mistakes and it would seem the company has no complaints procedure despite asking twice. There’s much better agents in the area so steer clear where possible.

The staff seemed friendly but unfortunately we have had a number of problems the main one being that we have had to repeat ourselves on a number of occasions also we were having viewings and when we were doing viewing the people who were coming had no idea what work was getting done even though I specifically said to keenans can you tell people when they enquire as we made changes and they didn't look like the photos I had to tell keenans to update rightmove there was no guidance from keenans throughout the process unfortunately we had to take our property off the market as we didn't feel confident with keenans we asked for owners details off a manager from another branch and she refused to give us it when we got the property valued he did not listen to anything we said he looked like he was in a rush all we got is if you have questions ring the office I've sent email after email repeating myself to the point of frustration I definitely wouldn't recommend keenans and I hope a owner does get in touch

Also their website which advertises properties are incorrectly advertised and misleading to say the least.
Who ever runs theirs charade so called company should have their licence revoked has even some of the staff are not even trained or pretty much thick and useless, as most people know! Go to a reputable company yes they are hard to come by but they are out there .

Very little interest if you have an issue .. just expect you to chase contractors and arrange getting things fixed.
No follow up calls checking everything’s sorted and the customers happy.
Just a very basic level of customer service would be nice .. as it is clear that based on service received so Far .. this is the best I can hope for.

Staff were friendly when we called - we just found it frustrating that the property listings aren't updated regularly.
We called a few times about properties showing available on their website and Rightmove to be told they'd actually sold a while ago. The ones we'd driven past even still had 'for sale' signs outside.
It's a shame as it put us off looking at other homes advertised by Keenans as we didn't want to get our hopes up when they were likely already sold.

They are throughly reliable, professional and supportive. If any issues arises they are quick to resolve it. In an example from today, when an issue arose, Kam has immediately resolved it and within a matter of minutes. This has been the case on each occasion. I booked a viewing 1 week in advance as i was travelling from West Yorkshire to Burnley to view a property. Even got a call in the morning of the viewing to check i was still attending, which i was.
Once i got to the viewing on time with the estate agent, we were told we couldn't enter the property due to the tenant not being aware that a booking was in place?
The estate agent didn't try to resolve the issue at all and basically shrugged his shoulders. The whole thing must have lasted about 3 mins and then it was we can't do anything for you.... bye.
I had driven a 2 hour round trip to be told this. They knew i was coming all the way from West Yorkshire. Shocking, to say the least! AVOID AT ALL COST!

Twice I’ve dealt with Keenans, and twice I’ve been left feeling annoyed and angry with them. I viewed a rental a couples of years ago and when I mentioned it needed some decorating (as there were even grey marks on the wall around where the headboards had been) the agent laughed and said no it’s up to a high standard. So I just left.
Now I’m looking at buying, I tried to arrange a viewing and a girl just rang and said it’s provisional sold I’m afraid, that’s it, no what are your circumstances? What are you looking for? Just bye.

When buying using Keenans (twice) experience has been a mixed bag: Keenans were underhand - promoting a property at a price (which l offered) but then telling me to submit my 'best price' by a deadline. Secondly, their ' offers over' approach, which l came across over 10 years ago, was misleading and inevitably stress-inducing, and l found their methods distasteful. This said, l did buy through them twice, however, l am not happy to sell through them if they are still using the using this technique, which l do not feel is fair on the buyers. If their methods have changed over the years, then l would applaud this. I also found the fact that as buyers we had to seek out their office in another town to obtain keys to enter newly purchased home rather frustrating and had to wait over an hour. Keys should be more readily available once completion has raken place - at one's solicitors perhaps, if the property is several miles away.

Kieran was excellent, cajoling and following through with us all the way.
Worthy of mention was the key handover, he couldn't do enough for us on completion day...rounding up colleagues to wait after hours as we were stuck in traffic.
It will be Keenans we turn to when it is time to see.

I have been renting from Keenan’s for over a year now and they are very welcoming and professional to deal with. They pay attention to detail and are quick to get any problems or issues sorted if they do arise. Alex from the maintenance team at the Burnley branch has been brilliant. Always goes above and beyond to get issues resolved - even the tricky ones. Thank you for always helping us and for chasing the landlord when things needed fixing urgently.
Will probably look to buy from Keenan’s in a couple of years when the time comes to buy a house rather than just renting as everything is done by the book. Can understand why most houses you see up for sale are with Keenan’s!

My partner and I were shown a Bungalow today by a lovely gentlemen, Mathew Thompson. A very well presented, knowledgeable and pleasant person who has given us the best experience we have had when it comes to viewing houses. He did not rush us, took his time and was able to talk about the area, the house, the facilities, the tenancy competently, represented his Estate Agents to a high standard! He had a warm demeanour about him that just helped us make our decision easier.

Absolutely appalled.
I have a sponsor offering to pay 12months up front to rent a property for a Ukrainian refugee family.
Whilst the whole country is opening their doors for refugees, the workers at Keenans can’t even be arsed to pick up the phone and call the landlord to explain our situation. We aren’t asking to bypass the process, just speed it up.
Absolutely no sense of urgency, sympathy or dedication to go that one extra step for customers. When time is of the essence, they l only allocate one day per week when we can even arrange a viewing. Useless.
Landlords! Beware. Probably missing out on tonnes of potential customers because the estate agents don’t even pass on the message.

Worst estate agents we’ve ever tried to use. We arranged a viewing of a property which they were aware we were travelling over an hour to for, with a newborn as well. We were there waiting 20 minutes passed the viewing time before getting a phone call saying no one was turning up to show us the property after only 1 hour before, phoning us to confirm the viewing. We were promised a rearranged time for a viewing and never heard a word from them after that. Complete and utter waste of time and would not recommend them to anyone. Got put on their mailing list half a dozen times and still never received anything from them through that either. Absolute nonsense.

Today, my husband and I viewed a bungalow we were interested in buying with the agents Keenan's at Burnley. We both found Jack the agent to be open, honest , informative and knowledgeable about all to do with selling and buying a property.we both felt at ease and although the property was not appropriate for us we Found the experience to be a good one. We have looked at a lot of houses over the past 2 years and not one agent was as good as this one. So well done Keenan's keep hold of this staff member. He is worth his weight in gold. I was recommended Keenans by a friend who had used their services before. I was aware that although the market is quite buoyant at present it would likely be a long, complicated and frustrating process to sell a house given how busy agents are and the restrictions from the pandemic.
I needn’t have worried. Keenan’s were proactive, diligent and worked extremely hard to get the house online and ready to sell as quickly as possible. Not only that good to their word when they said they had buyers looking for my house I had multiple viewings booked in on day one.
The very first viewing offered that same morning the full asking price of the house and the property was taken off the market on the morning it was put on!
At this point I still expected things to take time. Hiccups. And all of the other delays you would see. Especially as I was due to go on holiday too for two weeks.
None of that. Everything went extremely smoothly. Surveys. Searches. Solicitor engagement. Comms between all parties.
Alll in all the sale from start to finish took under six weeks which is incredible. The service from Louis, Chloe and Kieran was phenomenal. They were always on hand if you ever needed them and over delivered on everything they promised.
Keenan’s we’re a pleasure to do business with. And next time I am selling or buying I will be sure to use them. The team in Burnley are a credit to Keenan’s and exactly what you want as a seller and buyer.

If you are looking to buy property from keenans you better be careful.
Get directly contacted with owner otherwise these agents won't do any good
Really had a bad experience with Chloe.
She even doesn't answer my calls pretends she can't hear me when she can.
When i called a different agent he helped alot.
But buying property is not easy as old days.
You better have a good relation with agents other wise you'll be wondering for houses like a dead soul.

Keenans are quite possibly the reason we will never ever move again. As first time buyers, we understandably had questions and Katie consistently and refutably made us feel an inconvenience to her day. After her rudeness quite frankly brought my partner to tears, we asked to deal with someone else. This was a decision we regretted as Cree, supposedly a senior colleague, again was rude, inefficient and unprofessional. Do yourselves a favour and do not deal with these two vile humans.

Why cannot you give a company ZERO stars????? Sales team are great, lovely pictures of the house and speedy service....BUT THAT IS WHERE IT ENDS....Endless calls from US chasing for feedback from viewings and updates from our 'buyer' yet we are supposed to pay THEM £1800.
We have now lost the property we had set our hearts on, and have withdrawn from Keenans, thank you PROPERTY SHOP, £800 cheaper and they can answer an email!!!!! If i ever sell a house again, it will not be with Keenan's

Selling your house? Stay clear of Keenan's. After an agreed sale on our house, I had been chasing Keenan's for weeks for a for a response from the buyer. This is normal Keenan's kept telling me. So I've now contacted the buyer directly as it seems Keenan's were incapable. Only to find out they buyer had emailed Keenan's 3 weeks ago to pull out of the sale and Keenan's had 'missed' the email as they put it. This isn't no excuse and left us in a very difficult position having to sell our house again when there is a whole chain of people waiting. Thanks for nothing. No offer of anything in way of fixing this other than them relisting. No thanks, thanks for nothing.

We arrived early for a viewing of a property and as I walked down the gunnel at the back of the house I noticed the back of the house was quite shabby.
I decided to open the gate at the front of the property and have a look at the outside of the property. The lawn was covered in pieces of brick and debris and there was rubbish all around the property. The back of the house was in a state and needed painting and it wouldn't have been safe for my child to play there.
As I came back out the agent arrived and had the audacity to accuse me of trespassing. If I hadn't looked round the side I wouldn't have seen how bad the property was. The agent continued to be hostile for the rest of the visit and made me and my wife very uncomfortable.
I would not rent a property from Keenan's as I would not be happy dealing with ride people.

Absolutely terrible. No urgency in their service at all. I'm in a race against time here to complete before the Stamp duty deadline holiday. Its taken keenans a week just to get give my solicitor the vendors solicitors details (that's after 3 phone calls from me telling them to do so) incompetent to say the least.

If I had the ability to give this laughing stock of a firm no stars I would. Unfortunately google reviews likes to be kind and cheer them up with at least one!
My offer was accepted as a full and final offer on a house and costs were incurred from getting my mortgage in principle and going forward with the mortgage. Keenan's refused to take the property off of the market after my offer was accepted. They were the first agents I had ever come across who hadn't done this (I should have listened to my gut instinct at this point.) Their excuse was some nonsense about UK law (being a law student I was very aware that the poorly constructed explanation was pulled from thin air) though I have to give them credit here - it did make me smile.
My offer was eventually gazumped as people were still allowed and encouraged to forward offers on the house. Keenan's saw no problem with their unethically sharp practices towards myself and I do truly fear for their future clients...
Plenty of professional, well practicing and ethical estate agents in Burnley. Shame Keenan's is not on the list of them.

I can't express how amazing this agency has been!! from my very first phone call to Paul, the help and professionalism I received off Danielle and Georgia, I'm currently pregnant and they've looked after me so much! I can't be grateful enough. My property went up for sale last week and I've just accepted a offer on it today. I would highly recommend this agency to anyone! Extremely efficient and on the ball compared to another agency which starts with a 'P' and ends in a 'Y' my property where up with them for months and nothing .... it just shows what a fantastic estate agency can do.

It seems Keenan's are a professional company if they get your business, but if they don't, it's not very professional.
Booked in a valuation which went smoothly, the valuator was more of a sales pitch then what they could do for me.
I decided to go with another Estate agents for the sale, and the follow up call from Keenan's was out of order.
The pushy lady, was insistent and at this point offered to match the Fee (why not offer it in first place?) After saying I had signed the contract, she continued to push, question the contract I had signed etc.
Not professional and very off putting.

They called me to make sure I would be attending the viewing and of course we got there on time but unfortunately we to wait 15 minutes for Jason who was late. This was fine but what wasn’t fine was that Jason had brought the wrong keys. Jason also told us he was to busy to get the keys for us and we have to call the office and rebook ...

I have used Keenans now for over three years for purchasing, selling and letting. In all three sectors I have found the customer service extremely professional and personal. The descriptions and imagery are second to none.
The letting team were very professional and caring in finding the correct tenant for my property. Once the tenant was found the process and paperwork were finalised extremely professionally.
The knowledge of the market place is the best I have come across, they are realistic in what can be achieved. I also highly recommend the recommend law firm Alexander Grace Law, again all questions answered, process was smooth and prompt.
I highly recommend Keenans, a true family run business. Putting the customer first.

Johnathon Bury and his team at the Burnley branch have thus far been excellent. I would highly recommend their services. They took care of all of the viewings, but most importantly regularly keep me updated as soon as those viewings had happened and provided feedback. They were very professional and down to earth. My property had only been on the market a small amount of time before sale, they checked out all of the details of the perspective purchaser and came back with a solid and realistic offer. Being happy with the sale of this property I will now be looking for another project and hope to rely on Johnathan and his team to find me a gem.

I would not recommend keenans or us them again. there service was so disappointing. They did not earn there fee and left us feeling short changed. Dani was fantastic but as soon as we accepted an offer and handed over to kia and Taylor it went down hill fast. Never knowing what was happening and ringing us up to fiqnd out were we were up to. could never get in touch by phone. They left voice message now and again but only told what we allready knew. even our buyer's said they were usless amd informative. There fee was high but there effert and service were very disapointing.
