Extremely disappointing experience with Prime Residential. From the day we moved in, we experienced maintenance issues, including a leak that was never properly resolved. To their credit, Prime Residential arranged for contractors to attend on several occasions, but despite these visits, the leak continued. What was particularly disappointing was the complete lack of communication as the situation deteriorated. Over the course of several months, we repeatedly contacted the agent about the leak, providing opportunities for the issue to be addressed. Our emails were eventually ignored, despite the problem visibly getting worse. I have attached photos showing the kitchen ceiling progressively deteriorating over this period, culminating in its eventual collapse. This was not a sudden, unforeseeable incident after a minor issue; it followed months of an unresolved leak and repeated attempts to get the agent to take the situation seriously. My pregnant wife and one-year-old daughter narrowly avoided injury when the ceiling collapsed. It was an extremely frightening experience that should never have reached that point. The lack of communication and handling of these maintenance issues were subsequently referred to the Property Redress Scheme, which awarded us £500 in compensation. The entire tenancy was plagued by maintenance problems. I acknowledge that a letting agent cannot necessarily control every property issue, but they are responsible for how they communicate with tenants, follow up on contractor visits and manage ongoing problems. In our experience, this was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, things did not improve when we moved out. I requested that the deposit return process be initiated, but my requests were not acted upon, leaving me to discover that I could initiate the process myself through TDS. We then faced further frustration when the checkout report raised issues that were already present at the start of our tenancy. Some items alleged to have been left behind by us were clearly visible in the original check-in inventory, raising serious concerns about whether the report had been properly reviewed before these claims were made. After approximately three months, the agent eventually proposed a £50 cleaning deduction, a stark contrast to the broader claims initially raised. This followed considerable delays and the effort we had to make ourselves to progress the return of our deposit. The matter has been referred to TDS. Overall, the repeated communication failures, poor management and unnecessary stress throughout our tenancy and after moving out have been extremely disappointing. Tenants should not have to repeatedly chase an agent over serious maintenance concerns or take it upon themselves to get their own deposit return process moving. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Prime Residential.... Read more

The worst agency in human history. I’ve got so many complaints but I’ll lead with the most vital, for a whole month I didn’t have access to this property because it wasn’t important enough apparently . It’s an embarsssment couldn’t get through to anyone at the agency (calls/emails) for 2 weeks until I threatened with council and all of a sudden had contact with them, further from this it took them 2 whole weeks to finally replace a dead fob knowing I’ve had no access to my home for now a whole month (also charged me for the fob) The cheek to charge me for rent after blatantly taking the piss out of me and my living conditions and depriving me access of my own home, on top of this it’s taken over 1 month and a half to fix a shower. Before you consider signing up for an experience of hell and disrespect just look else where and save yourself the problems I and so many other people have faced dealing with this lot, absolutely shameful.... My landlord changed the management from the previous agent to prime Residential on December 2025. They were mediocre, my property manager didn't respond to my emails in time, and many times I had to wait for a long amount of time If I didn't call throughout the phone, One time she didn't respond for 3 weeks and then said it was her annual leave and I was left with no note of that. Everything else is just OK. One good thing is that they let me leave the apartment and end the tenancy with a month notice instead of two, which I am grateful for. but that happened after I had to call my property manager's manger, and was thanks to God then the kidnesss of the landlord. The disappointment was with the release of my deposit, my property manager kept delaying it and came back with a harsh complaint on the check our report saying that the property is damaged, which was true but I have reported it in details and asked got guidance (which she haven't respond to) one month prior to the end of my tenancy. They calimed my entire deposit and I disputed, and when time came for them to post their evidence on the TDS they didn't (because there is no evidence in the first place). After three months, TDS has decided that the deposit is entitled to me. TLDR; Was OK throughout the tenancy, a major disappointment at the release of my deposit.... Read more

I switched to Prime Residential just under a year ago to manage a property I rent out in Wakefield. I needed to save money and they offered a good deal. Big mistake! The service I have received has been the worst I have had from any agent I have dealt with. My Tenant reported some issues not long after he moved in, just under a year ago and they still have not been resolved. I have chased and chased and still got nowhere. They tried to overcharge on repairs, didn't respond to emails in a timely fashion took months to get quotes, and lied about the work being done. I have basically paid for a service I did not get. Now I am having to deal with a very upset tenant myself as they haven't done what they should have. The tenant is also very upset with the service they got, and having spoke to him, it is clear they were not upfront with us both right from the beginning. The people I dealt with were Eoghan Taggart & Dan Chadwick. I thought I could save money, but it is a case of getting what you pay for! Or NOT getting what you paid for in this case. I'm honestly shocked the reviews arent worse. We were told at our viewing that the property had no issues. Once we moved in however we discovered mould on most of the soft furnishings, a shoddily "renovated" bathroom (they had just pasted new grout over the old grout, which began falling off), curtain railings covered in filth and haging off the wall, a completely rusted out microwave, black mould in the kitchen cupboards (one of which had collapsed inside) and the oven door hanging off as well as trash from the previous tennants and workmen completely filling the wrong bins AND windows that were so poorly fitted you could see daylight bettween the window and the frame, TO NAME BUT A FEW faults with the property. The worst of these faults were conveniently omitted from the inventory or described as "poor condition" and not "needs replacing". We were promised solutions but in our 2 months in the property nothing was repaired satifactorally save the oven which was replaced the day before we handed they keys back (having moved out 2 weeks before) and a curtain rail being reattatched to the wall. They simply didn't care, we managed to get in touch with the landlord directly and they clearly didn't care either. We got one visit from a general contractor who bless him did the best he could with what he had but an electric drill and some caulk can only fix so much and an oven repair man who took one look at the absolute state of the oven and wondered aloud why they had botherd calling him instead of trying to replace it. They were "kind" enough to let us out of the contract early (because of the renters rights bill coming in we could just leave early anyway) and waved an early termination fee as a "gesture of goodwill". I would note however that they re-let the property while we were still there, before dealing with any of the significant issues we had (besides the oven). Now that we are asking for some of our money back (as they admitted they knew about the state of the property and chose not to tell us) and the release of our deposit they've started ignoring our emails, forcing us to threaten to make the statutory declaration through TDS and adding yet another job to the ever increasing list of tasks i am faced with because i had the misfortune, which i assume is my punishment for sins in a previous life, to ever cross paths with prime residential.... Awful, awful company. Pictured is the sort of mouldy, broken, mice-infested property that Prime will let to you for £1,400 a month that they will say has 'no issues' and has 'recently been redecorated'. I wish I'd listened to the bad reviews before letting from them. Would have saved us thousands of pounds and untold stress. Two months on from moving out, despite being promised we would have the deposit returned in full, we are still yet to receive it. The many different accounts of mouldy properties and no communications in these Google reviews aren't one-offs, I promise you. Tenants - AVOID.... Read more

We rented a house starting on December 20. The property was moldy, and the decorations they had promised were never fixed. On top of that, the dishwasher, washing machine, and oven have all been unusable. As of this review, 25 days have passed and none of these issues have been resolved. We also cannot reach our agency manager except through Fixflo reporting, which has been very frustrating. I would not recommend this agency.... Read more

Awful experience with Prime Residential - when we moved in, the flat was full of the previous owners belongings and very dirty, with no attempt from Prime Residential to clean or empty it beforehand. They did not help and we had to spend days cleaning it enough to bring our own things in. We had issues with water coming out of the FUSE BOX and they did not return our calls or attempts to help. We managed to find our landlord’s details and contacted him, despite Prime Residential being responsible for managing the property. They repeatedly asked us to host flat viewings for prospective tennants when their agents did not turn up to the bookings. We have now moved out and have been waiting for our deposit back. The property was empty for a month after we moved out, which they knew about but they have still not completed the inventory or given us a clear date when this will be completed. We improved the condition of the flat so it will be ridiculous if anything is deducted, especially considering we had 6 bags of items to bin from a previous tenant. Overall, the awful communication and lack of sincerity and honestly as well as a basic level of competency makes me caution anyone to use their services. Bad communication and complete indifference towards issues. You can't come into the office physically. You have to book an appointment. And every time you try to call the agency, you get told the building manager is going to call you back. But they never do. And when you confront the phone agent about being ignored you just get told you're going to be called back but with a bit of bad attitude instead of empathy. Not very professional. And you can't call the building manager yourself. How are you supposed to reach out for help then? Similar with emails. Either ignored or if you're very lucky then a reply in a few weeks. Our property landlord is a bit more helpful but there is and extent to what he can do. When you pay the rent on time to the agency you expect the same respect from the agency. The worse avency I have ever dealt with . Their maintenance is highley expensive. There is always hidden fees showing in the landlord statements. As a landlord, i am expecting to get paid £1100 from my property which they are manage it for me. One month i got paid £50 , the second month I got paid £500. I don’t recommend it at all .
