As a renter looking for a property from start to finish I've had a great experience with Tracy and Vicki. They were very swift with booking in viewings, once I found a property I received a very nice welcome hamper from the team which came in useful as it included discounts for IKEA. Throughout my tenancy they were very on top of arranging my renewal and keeping me informed. I've now moved out of the property and again the team were really helpful and advised a cleaner to use. I would definitely recommend their service for anyone looking for a new home.

I've viewed 3 properties with ruxton in Solihull within the last two weeks. The only positive is the lady who answers calls and requests feedback, she has been polite and helpful. The first viewing on bryanston road, the agent was rude as soon as she opened the door. She said she was in a rush as I was late and she had a very important meeting at the office. I apologised for being late, and asked if it would be better for me to reschedule, to which she said no. I had already spoken with the lady on the phone about being late who said it was fine if I still went ahead. I did offer to reschedule if inconvenient. Prior to and at the door. Further, almost every question I asked about the property, the agent said she didn't really know. Secondly I went to ferndown road, the agent asked for my opinion at the property and I said I underestimated the work required and costs associated. She said 'well didn't you look at the photos before you came, couldn't you tell?' and she insisted and persisted I look at the brochure as she tried to give it to me. I found this very very rude. Perhaps we should all buy homes based on online brochures. I felt that she was very very pushy with trying to sell the home and I didn't feel at ease. Thirdly I tried to visit a property today, and sadly I had racial abuse as I parked up on the road of the property and was very shaken up. I still went to the property. The same agent kept telling me that it was very unusual for the area and that she only lives 5 minutes away. (As do I) She kept repeating this, not really listening to me. As I tried to tell her that I felt it was a racially motivated incident she said that that was just not fair nor right. I walked out of the property further distressed and told her I did not wish to converse about the matter further. I will not be viewing any properties with Ruxton again. All other estate agents in the area have been a pleasure to deal with, without hesitation my experience with Ruxton has been the worst

Ruxtons valued our house and then put it on the market, unfortunately we didn’t have one single enquiry during the entire time we were on with them, communications wasn’t great and there were no initiatives offered to increase the chances of selling other than reducing the price. A bad experience all round.

We invited three local agents to visit my mother's retirement apartment to give a valuation and advise on marketing the property. After careful consideration of what we had heard
we chose Ruxton to handle the sale and we are very glad we did.
We immediately felt confidence in Craig Simmonds. We liked his ideas for marketing but also that he listened carefully to our thoughts on the sale. I felt at the time, and events confirmed, that his was the most accurate valuation of the three. He clearly had real insight into the local property market and to the special conditions of the retirement market.
Craig promised he would conduct the majority of the viewings himself and that feedback would always be provided. He was true to his word and we always felt well-informed. When there were offers or other matters to consider he was always calm and balanced in his advice and mindful of our objectives.
In a difficult market we have now sold at an acceptable price thanks, we believe, to the professionalism of Craig and his colleagues. It is clear to us that the word service still matters at Ruxton. Everyone we have dealt with has shown the same helpful, supportive attitude which we have appreciated greatly.
We would recommend Ruxton without hesitation to anyone with property to sell in the Solihull area.

This review has been a long time coming. So first I’d like to apologise to all the wonderful staff at Ruxtons.
Over the last few years my husband and I have bought and sold properties through this estate agent as well as choosing Ruxtons letting department. On each and every occasion the service has been exceptional from beginning to end. For example Sonia was there to support us when we first made contact regarding selling our house, after Graham had been out to value . She was so helpful, kind and supportive and always available or would call back. Nothing was ever too much trouble. When the house price was agreed we were passed over to Helen and received the same outstanding service again. Helen would regularly update us, keeping us in the loop, was at the end of the phone or would call back if we had any concerns or just wanted to ask her opinion about something. If Helen was out of the office we would speak with Craig, who was just as helpful. And the great thing was they all communicated with each other so you wouldn’t be phoning repeating the same thing over and over, because they were all up to speed with the sale. Wonderful service from the beginning to end of the sale. This has been the same when we have bought through Ruxtons.
We also deal with Lettings and Vicki is our contact. The same as the other staff, Vicki is very professional, personable and so lovely to deal with. She has always been there to support us, work with us, talk us through any concerns and generally be a great negotiator between us and the tenants.
So thank you so much everyone for making something that could be so stressful, an easier journey.

We selected Ruxton's to sell my mum's property after having two other agents come round to show us their services. Craig from Ruxton's was professional, helpful and not pushy (unlike one agent who did not endear himself to either me or my wife). Ruxton's valuation of the property was sensible and within our own expectations of price and we found a buyer quite quickly. The property was originally bought through Ruxton's so we knew that they knew the area and the property in question. Craig was our main contact throughout and was always very professional particularly as we had had a difficult time with the chain breaking down on two previous occasions. I am pleased to say that we finally completed this week. I would recommend Ruxton's to anyone who is looking to buy or sell in the Solihull area.

Don’t use them use any of the others as they update you with emails etc, that’s what a buyer needs and a sellers time is not wasted

I was recently faced with the daunting task of having to sell my late mothers property, this being a truly superb luxury apartment in a sought after corner of Solihull. Approaching a few of the "new names" agents, my enquiry's being met with unprofessional idiots who seemingly had no local area knowledge and didn't even bother to return phone calls etc.
However, i then phoned Ruxton and what a difference to above. Speaking to a very helpful Graham Froud, straightaway he knew the area and property address etc. He met me at the property the following day on time as planned, and within a week he'd taken all photos and got it on the market. Furthermore Ruxton do have the many years experience, of filtering out all the time wasters who have a hobby of just looking and no interest in purchasing.
Ruxton found me many genuine buyers, and also arranged accompanied viewings in my absence. Within a few weeks the property was sold for just short of it's asking price, and it exchanged and completed very quickly with no chains or complications whatsoever. All administration matters being handled very promptly and seamlessly, by a lovely lady called Helen Parr. Worth noting that my buyer was also very impressed with their dealings with Ruxton and commented on how very professional they were compared to others !
In closing, if you want your property sold without it being "chained up" or if you are looking for a home in Solihull. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ruxton, a proper well known and long established estate agent.

All at Ruxtons are professional, thoughtful and very helpful. After a long time of searching for a new home. We had pretty much given up. Then we met Craig at our now new home. He was smart, polite and knowledgeable of the property that they were selling. He answered our questions and gave us time to look around. To me, knowing what you are selling is key. It seems all other high street agents don't care to find things out. Such as I asked Craig the council tax banding. He knew. Then right up to the day of our exchange, a few days prior I'd drove past to see they had taken the sale sign board away. Unlike to that of a neighbour at my previous address. Who had been in for over a year, and the sign remained up. It was only the wind that brought it down. And still it remains on the drive! Even today Nav has gained information for me from the previous owner and past on our kind wishes.
It really is the little things that go a long way. And know what you are selling!! Thank you Ruxtons. We can only highly recommend your company.

We have rented a property in Chancel Court from Ruxton last year December and stayed there for 11 months.We had to relocate for official purpose.On December 2020 when we entered the property covid was in its highest peak in UK.After we stepped inside the property the first word which came out was 'WOW'.Our relocation was from India and everything was virtually done by Ruxton. The property was spotless,was in excellent condition and all the electrical appliances were brand new and was of the top most quality they have provided.
During our 11 month stay during any issues Tracy was always there to help us .She also made sure to visit personally and sort it out with ever smiling face within 2 days max.We wish we could continue with them in our new place also but they don't have properties in our present location. We wish all the best to the entire team of RUXTON .... an ultimate place if you are searching for property in Solihull.

Rude and unprofessional staff. Contacted the branch in relation to viewing a property we were interested in. The call was answered by a member of staff who obviously had either got out the wrong side of bed or doesn't enjoy his job. Didn't even get to finish my sentence before I was told its not available for viewings. Requested the details of this member of staff only to have the phone put down on me. Ruxtons are fully aware of the high demand in the property market and instead of being courteous and understanding they are treating people with no respect as they believe they have the upper hand. Think twice before selling or buying with this company as they will promise you the best service but actually they are turning away potential customers for buyers and future customers who would like to sell.

Sold our house through Ruxton's and Graham and Nav were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. We completed and exchanged during lockdown which was stressful but I had full confidence in Graham and Nav who saw the whole process through, keeping us informed at every stage. Everyone in the office too, was so lovely whenever I phoned or they arranged viewings. I highly recommend Ruxton and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

I am really pleased I used a traditional Estate Agent rather than an on line agent. They arranged the viewings, accompanied the prospective buyers and provided feedback. They really came into their own once a buyer was found. Every week they spoke to everyone in the chain and provided me with an update. They spoke with clients, agents and solicitors up and down the chain so I knew where any hold ups may be. I found this very reassuring.

Ruxton were the estate agents of our vendors actually but we obviously had a reasonable amount of contact with them including, of course, on our initial viewing. I have to say Nav and his team, including Anne with whom we liaised quite a bit, were excellent and very helpful. Nav thank you for a personal, relaxed yet professional approach. This was certainly refreshing and not 'salesy'. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend you.

Lacklustre in the extreme is the only way to describe the experience so far in my limited dealings with Ruxton. I had arranged a viewing on one of the properties they were marketing and subsequently made an offer. I would have expected some sort of feedback within a day or two but none materialised. I left it a few more days and still nothing so got on the phone to which they said they hadn’t heard anything from the sellers.
Fair enough I would say but to leave a potential buyer hanging for over a week when they have made an offer Is far below the standard I would have expected of a professionally run estate agent.
A message left on their answer phone system with a request for a call back appeared to be ignored.
A subsequent call for which the organisation manager answered and promised a call the next day from the sales manager who was dealing with the property in question was not received.
A simple yes/no answer or at least a credible update 2 plus weeks after making an offer wasn’t asking too much was it. ?

Very bad experience with these guys, we made an offer on a house which was accepted, while in the process on arranging the mortgage and the hopes of the family tied up Cristina the sales agent put it back on the market at week 3. Still encouraging us to proceed with the mortgage, at week 6 we got the mortgage offer, then informed Cristina who then informed us the seller is not selling to you and wants to sell to someone else. The attitude displayed by Cristina was terrible, would advise stay away as there’s a good change they will lead you up the garden path and cost you time and money

From valuation at beginning to handing over the keys at end the whole process was so easy.
