I’m completely new to this area so I don’t know anyone or anywhere. I came to view a property and it ticked all the boxes for me and my situation. My cash offer was accepted and sage and co were brilliant throughout. They gave me details of recommended solicitors and tradesmen as I need to have some essential work done to the property, as it’s always a worry dealing with tradesmen that you don’t know or have any knowledge of. I contacted the agent several times throughout the process with questions and queries and nothing was too much trouble, the whole team were really helpful and professional and welcomed me to the the area. Would I recommend them or use them again, most definitely I would.

I can't begin to describe how helpful and patient these guys are when selling the house, it was a complicated one from the start, as it was a joint house through losing my grandparents, and it has taken over 2 years to get all the paperwork in place to actually sell it then, issues with buyer and so forth but Carol and the team, have constantly kept me informed every step of the way and every time I went in to see if anything had progressed they either phoned or emailed people again while i was there, or they informed me that they had done that the day before, but they always polite and no matter how frustrated I was they let me talk. Thankfully we have finally done it, and I can't thank them enough for everything.

We contacted a few agents in the Newport, Bassaleg, Risca areas to try and arrange viewings but found it difficult as they 'only have a small number of viewings on the weekend' or 'don't do viewings after 5pm on a weekday', etc. Arranging a viewing with Sage was polite, friendly and easy to do around our schedules.
The sale took it's time due to delays (on our behalf) but each contact with them was always understanding and professional.
Would we recommend them? Yes, to both buying and selling

We bought a house through this agency. Just before we collected the keys we were told over the phone that everything is ready for us as we have discussed previously a few times. The property is in a terrible condition, although we were assured that it would be ready by the time we collected the keys
Instead of the joy of buying a new house, it ended in tears.
Wouldn't recommend as they keep teling you lies.

From the initial valuation Steve was open, honest and really helpful in giving us guidance about the market place and the sales process.
Viewings we’re all carried out in a Covid Safe way by Carol, Emily and Jane and they followed up all viewers for feedback.
They were very patient with us and helped us to secure a great deal for us and for our buyers.
The team were hot on contact with solicitors and ensuring that everything was being completed as it should have been.
I will miss my weekly conversations with Jane.

Absolutely furious. Put the property on the market for 140k, surveyor valuation came back at 125k based on properties sold in the area. After spending £1500+ in fees, and being pushed to get the surveys done qiucker only a couple of weeks ago.... the whole sale has now fallen through. My anger is that sage and co, with 'their experience and professionalism' knew full well what the valuation was going to come back as but the still proceeded to over value the property by 12%+. This is way off the mark. As much as i understand that the seller wants the maximum, as does the estate agents to get better commission, you cant try over pricing people out of the market value, especially when 97% of houses are bought with mortgages, which would all require a lenders valuation report so it was always going to become an issue. If it was the seller insistant on the price then Sage and co should of told them that this would be a problem and discouraged them putting it at that price.... 2-3% or a couple of grand each way is negotiable.... not £15,000 or 12%!!!
greed took over on this occasion, whether that was by the vendor or sage and co, will probably never be known now, but ultimately, and in reality, we have all lost out, and no more than my partner and I.
Sage and co lost the sale, the vendor wont be moving to their new home, and we (with our first baby due in 12 weeks) are £1500+ out of pocket and back to square 1 trying to het onthe property ladder.

As a potential buyer, the use of the last and final bids process was very frustrating and put us off purchasing a property through Sage and co. We felt pressured into submitting unrealistic bids. This felt more like a closed bid auction than a proper, clear negotiation with the seller.
We went elsewhere in the end where the process was much clearer and purchased a property.

I did a part exchange with persimmon. Sage and co handled persimmon and future buyer aspect of the sale. I didn't need to be in direct contact with them at all but when I called to see if everything was ok the other side if the transaction I was handled with great care from Carole. The way they work are unprofessional. We came and saw the house on last Thursday. After that, we transferred money to keep the house and one lady called us that we needed to send them the application form and said that we can scan and send her on the next day. We did it on Friday morning and they called us and told us that they let another people rented it even we paid the money first and sent them all documents. Really disappointed. The first time I heard about this agency company and I recommend not to use their services

Booked a viewing for 3pm no-one showed up so I called the office at 4pm to cancel and the guy hung after I said I wanted to cancel the appointment after no-one made an effort to call me. Mr sage himself was the one doing the valuation and it was him that answered the telephone. lucky escape by the initial standard of customer service I would recommend Pinkmove they seem to know how to look after their customers.
