We had quite a few estate agents out to the house for a valuation but from the minute Scott entered our house and we began to discuss the house and valuation we felt he was honest, approachable and most of all being the sellers of our much loved house he listened.
At no time did we feel pressure or an obligation to secure him as our agent.
May I also add that when contacting the Glenrothes branch and speaking to the rest of the team they also were very approachable and no amount of questions were to much.
I cannot rate Slater, Hogg and Howison highly enough.

Our initial contact was with Andrena, it was a really great experience, we advised her what house we wanted to view and asked if they had anything similar that we could also view. Her response was immediate, she was so pleasant and arranged us two viewings for later the same day. Our experience with Slater Hogg has been great. The agent that showed us the properties was friendly and gave us plenty time to view the properties. Nicola our morgage advisor is really friendly, informative and on the ball. Highly recommended. We are in the process of selling some 'buy to let' properties and was using another agent over the last few years. We had an issue selling one of these properties and turned to Slater Hogg in Glenrothes as a reset and different approach. The property was under offer within a week after previously sitting unsold for three months! I was impressed all the way through the experience from first contact with Jacqui then meeting Scott at the property for the valuation. For me communication is important and that has been excellent throughout all stages of the process with everyone in the office. This is the second time we have used the Glenrothes branch of Slater Hogg & Howison to sell a property and can highly recommend them.
Scott carried out the pre-sale valuation, explained the process in detail and gave a clear indication of costs. Thereafter Jacqui took over and our house ended up only being on the market for one week. After the first day of viewings offers were received but Jacqui advised to let the marketing and viewings run to maximise the interest. Ended up with 22 viewings, 11 offers and an amazing sale price achieved. This has allowed us to proceed with purchasing our new home. We cannot praise Scott, Andrena and Jacqui enough for all the hard work they put into our sale behind the scenes. The whole team at Slater Hogg & Howison in Glenrothes make the whole selling process seemless and stress free and their hard work and efforts deserve to be recognised. The whole team at Slater Hogg in Glenrothes were great throughout. Douglas came out for the initial valuation and was open and honest about their processes and the current market.
Everything then happened as he said it would and I was in complete control of when my house went live on the market.
When it went live I was then kept in the loop by both the Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes offices who matched a number of buyers to my property for a viewing. Jackie, Val and Andrina were all lovely to deal with and seemed to appreciate the big deal it is to sell a house, even though they deal with it all day every day!
My house sold within 1 week with a number of attractive offers on the table!

Forgot to add comments to support my selections above. We live in England and was selling a house in Scotland. There are some different rules which this estate agents explained clearly. Douglas came to value the property and his demeanour immediately set us at ease . He was professional and instantly likeable. Jacqui the manager has kept us constantly updated as to how the sale was going which was reassuring. The property was sold in less than 24 hours of it being advertised. Great service and have no hesitation in recommending this estate agents.

Our property was marketed extremely quickly and efficiently. Any queries that we had were answered within the hour by email, phone or text. Communication was marvellous through out the whole process and the Slater Hogg team kept us up to date about viewings etc.
Slater Hogg arranged to Countrywide home report for us. This was carried out promptly and once again queries were dealt with promptly.
The whole Slater Hogg team have been extremely helpful, understanding of the stresses of selling a property and extremely helpful in answering all our queries.
In particular Jacqui McAdam and Douglas Lennox have gone above and beyond !
We will certainly use Slater Hogg again and would not hesitate to recommend Slater Hogg to family and friends .

Slater Hogg have been excellent from start to finish. The staff at the Glenrothes branch are a credit to the company. The support by everyone in the office; specifically Jacqui, Andrena and Tony was invaluable. At no point did we feel under pressure to sell. We recieved regular phone updates on the listing and sale of our property alongside regular calls to see how our own house hunt was progressing. The photo and video package we were offered exceeded all expectations. The time invested into the sale by everyone was invaluable. It was never any hassle to phone the office to ask for advice or updates.
A mention should also be made to Rodger from the Kirkcaldy branch who was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. Rodger is quite clearly passionate about his job and this is very obvious when speaking to him.
Every single viewer to our home made comment on how helpful and friendly Slater Hogg were.
My advice to anyone looking for an estate agent would be to chose Slater Hogg.

From the moment we decided to sell our house the staff have been attentive and responsive.
We had approached another company for a valuation while we were deciding the best deal for us, however this company took 3 days to get back to us, whereas Slater Hogg didn't even take a day.
Jacqui and the team have been excellent at keeping us updated regularly and offering advice. We sold our house at over the fixed price, and if we ever sell again in the future, it will definitely be from Slater Hogg.

I recently bought my very first home and was supported with slater hogg and cannot fault the experience one single bit. Being a young male and having no real exposure to what it takes when buying a house I was supported by the fantastic Jacqui McAdam. I cannot rate, praise and thank her enough for everything that she done to support me. Nothing was a bother and she made her time available for support, available and did not feel rushed or passed by. Taking on the role of supporting and ensuring the move transitioned as easy as possible not only made it easier for a first time buyer, but a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders, giving the fact it was during a global pandemic takes away the added stress pressure or potential mental health worries and this is all down to Jacqui. Great advice, very professional. We had several agents that wanted to sell our house, Douglas gave great advice on a way that I could independently figure out who was giving me the best advice.
Again, when the home report came in, I got very good and helpful advice from Jacqui as to how to challenge the valuation.
Did a great job marketing the property and we had a lot of interest, but they were very sensitive to my wife's health problems and pre-screened the viewers. One of many ways we were left feeling that they had our best interests at heart.
Everyone at Slater Hogg Glenrothes was genuinely nice and helpful. And, we sold our house at a really nice premium to the home report price. All in all, it was a great experience!

My wife and I came over from the USA to help my brother who had been very ill, to put his house on the market, as he needed to move into a care home. Slater, Hogg were recommended by my brother's solicitor. From my first call from the USA to Jacqui McAdams the manager of the office, I could sense the professionalism. An appointment was set up with Douglas Lennon after we came out of quarantine. We were extremely pleased with our meeting with Douglas. Again the level of professionalism was excellent. Douglas walked us through the way houses are sold in Scotland, which its very different from the USA. We had two and a half weeks left of our stay and Douglas arranged for the inspection to be done the next day and had the listing posted quickly.
We were able to find a buyer and the closing should happen very soon.
In subsequent dealings with the office, Jacqui and Doug were extremely helpful as was the receptionist.
This was a top notch experience and we would highly recommend Slater, Hogg and Howison.

Can't speak highly enough of the team at the Glenrothes branch. Moving house can be very stressful, but they were with us every step of the way. We was very impressed by their professionalism and reassuring attitude throughout the process. We were regularly updated and an offer on the house was agreed after just 4 weeks and formalised a week later. Going into the office was always a pleasant experience. Everyone was so nice and we felt part of the family. Don't like singling anyone out, but a special thanks to Andrena, Douglas and both Jacquis. Also thanks to Tony [who we never met] for conducting the viewings. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending these guys.

After a less than impressive sale of my mothers house through an online estate agent,we used Slater Hogg after they sold my neighbours house in 1 Day!! All I can say is please do not be fooled by the advertising, using Slater Hogg is almost the same as P***** Bricks once you see the hidden charges.They did the viewings too which is extra elsewhere. Every Member of Staff at Glenrothes (Jackie,Jackie2,Donna and Andreena) were Professional and we felt part of the team we spoke so much. We got our perfect price and a smooth sale.Give them a call, I'm Glad we did.

It was an easy decision for me to choose Slater Hogg & Howison in Glenrothes to market my property. They have an excellent reputation locally and from start to finish proved themselves to be extremely professional, efficient, friendly and informative. My property was sold in less than two weeks and I was kept informed every step of the way. All the staff are very friendly, polite, knowledgeable, have excellent communication skills and are clearly very good at what they do. Excellent service from Donna, Jackie and everyone at Slater Hogg Glenrothes. My property went on the market on Wednesday, had a viewing on Thursday and was sold by the next Monday. Totally hassle-free. Also the same buying through them. A friendly and professional service I would not hesitate to recommend.
