We chose Spencers because we liked their more engaging and less ‘hard sales’ but still highly professional approach. Also, when searching for the right agent, we were advised by many, that our property would likely be attractive to the London market. Spencer’s offered the benefits of a London office and this helped facilitate potential buyers looking to relocate.
We found the marketing materials produced to accompany the sale of high quality and this was supported by their social media activity.
Our selling journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Pretty stressful at times but we believe Spencer’s tenacity and less aggressive approach, have been contributory to reaching a positive conclusion in the end.
We were fortunate enough to achieve within 3% of our guide price, which in the current housing market, we were more than happy with.

Sue / Dan / Tina came around and we signed up. Initially an over priced recommendation. So
We reduced it a little and had a lot of interest. Several offers that fell through later in the process, all for different reasons. The market was falling and we made several price reductions totalling about 10% in the end. Through out this we did get plenty of support and a keen engagement from Spencers and Spotlight with us. 18 months later we accepted an offer via Spencers, who did negotiate and chase all potential purchasers and the solicitors. We are now exchanged and relaxing finally.

I made an initial enquiry for properties in the Burley area and received an immediate response from Hannah who was very professional and listened . She talked me through my requirements and budgets and sent two properties that may be of interest the same day. I had rang several agents and Spencers of Burley were the only proactive company. Just completed a sale on a property in Bransgore. For various reasons (none of them down to Spencers) the process took over a year from start to finish. Finding a buyer is often the easy bit, the real work usually starts after this and in our case this was very definitely true. Alan, Tina and the team were absolutely fantastic throughout and are testimony to why you need a local agent fighting your corner. They are not the cheapest agents in town for a very good reason and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for support during what can sometimes be a very complicated process. They are worth every penny.
