The team at Stags Bideford were amazing start to finish! Stags Bideford helped us through a sale even while we were living in New Zealand. We cannot recommend Stags in Bideford enough. Our house purchase has been a very long process with many, many complications along the way to say the least. Zara has worked tirelessly to make sure everyone in the chain stayed updated and in touch. She has found solutions to issues that threatened the sale and offered options that were fair and suitable for all parties involved. We bought our cottage through Stags and the main points of contact were through Olivia & Zara. The process started in end January and communication with Stags was good, they provided whatever information that was required in a timely manner. Trying to reach either of them was never a problem, if they were busy a colleague helped me out. When there were challenges with the chain, Stags were pro-active and helpful. Enquired about a property I was interested in, a gentleman from the office ensured me that he would phone me back to clarify some questions and nobody has bothered (twice). Can't give you anything other than 1* unfortunately. Edit: Thank you for your reply and stating that because you are really busy (hopefully that statement helps boost your business as I can't see any other reason for writing it) nobody has replied to the enquiries. I can't understand (even though you are extremely busy) why straightforward enquiries would take over a week to reply to. In any case when (or if) anyone gets back to me I will delete this review and change it to 5*.... Read more

Appalling agency. Right from the start when they refused to put an offer through to the seller (which I believe is illegal), we had to trace the seller directly & discuss our own price & then tell Staggs what we had agreed on! They didn't chase up or pursue the sale at virtually any point, we had to either chase the sellers or their solicitors ourselves or chase Staggs to chase them. The final straw was picking up the keys, we called them & said we would like to pick the keys up - yes no problem & agreed the time, etc. We got there & then they ask for ID - it might have been useful to tell us we needed that - oh, we'll just photocopy your bank card - what! We insisted our bank details were blacked out. I've dealt with a lot of agents in the past, some very good, some bad - but this office is the worst we've had the mis-fortune to ever deal with....
