No accountability for mistakes on their part and then maliciously lied about it later on.
I rented a house through stones young which I recently moved out of.
During the tenancy stones young badgered me to carry out inspections on the property. We agreed a time for them to come out and inspect the property.
During the inspection i made them aware of a tiny patch of what looked like mould in the lounge - which was there when I moved into the property (pictures I took proved this).
Stones young advised me to monitor this. It was agreed that they would liase with the landlord and decide if there needs to be any maintenance to be done, and that was that. It turns out stones young did NOT pass this on to the landlord, and nothing was done about it.
Fast forward a year or so and I'm now moving out of the property to a new one. The mouldy spot has not changed or worsened at all in the lounge. Still just a tiny patch on the ceiling.
The landlord AND stones young both conspired to screw me over by saying that I had caused a leak in the property, that the mouldy spot was my doing, and stones young sent an email to the landlord telling her that i never made them aware of the patch of mould on their inspection which is a massive lie, because my emails prove this.
On top of this it transpires that stones young are not even responsible for carrying out inspections of the property - so why did they badger me to carry out the inspections in the first place? That's the landlords job, maybe communicate with each other to work out who should be doing what instead of cocking everything up then blaming it on the tenant?
I asked stones young to take some accountability for this - which they refused to comment on.
But as stated, I saw emails between stones young and the landlord while they were plotting together to help the landlord keep my deposit money and they were advising her on what to claim for, what to say, how to present the evidence against me etc, and they again stated that they were "never made aware" of a mouldy spot in the lounge. Absolutely outrageous.
In the end it went to a tenancy deposit dispute service, who considered all the evidence from all parties and ruled in my favour (because my evidence showed the tiny patch was there prior to me moving in).
Stones young - you failed to communicate with the landlord about who does what, you carried out inspections when you shouldn't have, you failed to act on a potential issue I reported to you, you refuse to hold yourselves accountable for a mistake you made, you then lied about it in your emails while conspiring with the landlord to keep my deposit money.
Incompetent, dishonest people with no sense of integrity or accountability when it was needed.

Thank you for - finally - taking responsibility for your mistake, it's a shame it took a public review calling you out to coax acknowledgement from you, rather than several months ago when it was needed.
If you had made this exact comment when it was needed it would have saved me and the landlord a hell of a lot of hassle wouldn't it?
Admitting to your fault now, unfortunately, is no good to anyone and like I said you are only doing it now because of my public review to save face.
I hope you learned a lesson in accountability and integrity for your future tenants/landlords.

Very professional from day 1, Sarah came to value our house and take photos which were amazing. Our house went on the market on a Friday and had sold on the Monday. We put an offer on the house we wanted and Karen was absolutely brilliant with both our sale and our purchase. Her communication is second to none. When Karen wasn’t available Sarah was there to guide and reassure us whenever we had any worries. They have proven both their patience and professionalism with my many phone calls and emails! I have just sold my house with Stones Young. Well all I can say is this was the best decision I have made and Karen and Sarah were great from start to finish.
I met Sarah who came to value and take the pictures for my house and was so good and ensured that the house looked it's best. I cannot state how brilliant it was to have viewings within 12hrs of my home being uploaded in the websites etc which I found remarkable.
Then I met Karen she was lovely when she was doing the viewings she was professional and also made sure that the house was looking it's best. Although the sale of my home didn't always go to plan and there was certainly bumps in the road I always knew that Karen was there to give reassurance and guidance when needed and she was always at the end of the phone.
I would recommend Stones Young to everyone who is wanted to sell there home as they definitely give you the gold star treatment, and ensure that your home sells with a friendly professionalism that is needed.

Highly recommended! Bought my first house through Stones Young and they made it a very smooth and stress free experience. Regular updates on the progress and everything was explained clearly which I really appreciated as a first time buyer.
Also, several months after purchase I had a question about the property. Stones Young contacted the previous owner and got back to me with the answer I needed in a matter of minutes! Nothing in it for them at this point but still they went above and beyond to help out. Great service.

Apart from my decision to sell my house the next best decision I made was to approach Stones and Young to value and sell it for me. I really believed that Sarah loved my house as much as I did and truly wanted the best price for me. Karen also cared when showing potential buyers round; even looking after my cat whilst doing so! We used the Clitheroe office to sell our house, and all I can say is that Karen & Sarah have been absolutely fantastic, lovely, professional and just genuinely down to earth people that actually seem to care, rather than just selling another property.
Karen went above and beyond to ensure our sale went through as best it could, despite taking longer than expected - but was always in touch regardless of whether there was anything to inform of or not, always ready to chase down the chain when needed and was always happy to chat.
