I was recommended to Harvey's by a friend to sell my mother's bungalow in Penn after she was admitted to a nursing home on 'end of life care'. At first Harvey's seemed a little more expensive than the other local agents I asked to quote but my goodness have they been worth every penny. I could not have had a better. more attentive service than that which they provided. They went over and beyond my expectations in terms of advice and attention to detail. If it hadn't been for the conveyancer's long Christmas/New Year shut down we would have made it from first contact to completion of the sale in three months and clearly, with a mother on end of life care, time was of the essence. They have immense local and professional knowledge and Glyn, Alex and all their staff are personable and very easy to deal with. the phone is always answered, messages taken and responses given promptly. Further, just in case you thought we sold at a cheap price to get a quick sale we got the full market price quoted by all the agents. I cannot recommend them enough.

I didn't have a good experience with another estate agent, so switched to Thomas Harvey. It was a much better experience, they listened to what I wanted about listing the house. Unfortunately my buyers dragged the process out for 6 months and the poor people at Thomas Harvey had listen to me call every week to find out what was going on. I highly recommend them for multiple reasons, they were great in communicating to me what was going on. They had the patience when I called maybe too often.

My wife and I have recently completed the sale of our home , with the help of Thomas Harvey. However at the start of our 'journey' we investigated the services of a number of estate agents in Tettenhall. It soon became obvious that Harveys were head and shoulders above the other 3 agents that we had meetings with. The first thing that impressed us was their professionalism and approachability, the conversations we had with them wasn't filled with how they were the best, but simply how they could meet our needs, after talking to us about what we wanted from an agent. Some of the agents we investigated created the feeling that it was all about them, and as such the we felt that as prospective customers really, it was about us! After listening to our requirements Harveys presented a plan on how they would market our property and how each member of their team would contribute towards a common goal of achieving a sale . At this point over the weeks they communicated with us and indeed to prospective buyers. The professionalism of all the team was very much in evidence, they talked with you, and not at you, as some agents had done on our initial agents investigation. Forget the glitz, the magazines, etc these people hold your hand and seek to turn potential into actual!
If you are after a dedicated team that want what you want, then you won't go far wrong in my opinion in going to Thomas Harvey in Tettenhall.

From the beginning to the end of the process they worked on our behalf to ensure we sold our property and got the home we had set our hearts on.
Sally was fantastic when showing potential buyers around our property.
Both our sale, and subsequent purchase, were met with many obstacles along the way with Alex managing these for us and acted as estate agent, solicitor and negotiator for all parties. There were times when we thought the process would fall apart but the way Alex handled each difficult situation, many of them out of normal office hours, gave us the confidence to continue and took a lot of the stress away.

Out of all the estate agents we dealt with this is 100% the worst! Even both solicioters dealing with our purchase commented to say how poor and unresponsive Thomas Harvey were, they literally did nothing other than market the property from then onwards they didnt do a single thing.
When trying to purchase a property they were trying to encourage gazumping, we know this as we were in direct contact of the seller. The seller had accepted our offer and told thomas harvey they wanted to take this property off the market to which Glynn and Alex told the seller that they shouldn't have accepted our offer and tried to insist they carry on with viewings where the seller then had to be firm to tell them they were happy with the price and didnt want loads more viewings at his house, thomas harvey were really unhappy about this as who they were lined up to buy the property was then unable to view so unable to make an offer. We nearly didn't get the house because of this, as they had lined up buyers who they were selling a house for as they wanted to cash in on double commisson and tried to persuade the sellers not to go with us to suit their own benefit even though the seller had already accepted our offer. Thomas harvey also lied to say the seller hadn't accepted our offer, when we had direct contact with them and also in writing to confirm they had, they then later had to back track as they knew they had been caught red handed. We had already sold our property so we were in a good position and offered a considerable amount over the asking price. Thomas harvey are very sly, dishonest and only looking out for themselves and not what their clients want, to the point they will try to manipulate to do what they want. They also don't like to respond by email as that means what they say is documented and they will always call, so a tip from me is record their conversations as they always lie about what they have said on previous phone calls. Alex has a serious attitude problem and very unprofessional. I found the whole organisation very rude, unprofessional and dishonest. I would never wish to deal with them again.

I can't speak highly of the level of service that the team at Thomas Harvey's provided during the sale of my house which went through this past week.
I purchased the property through Harvey's around 6 years ago and as they were already well acquainted with the property itself, it made perfect sense to engage with them for the sale.
I always received specific feedback from every viewing that Harvey's conducted on my behalf, within a day or so, which is exemplary considering the circumstances of the pandemic at the end of last year.
I will certainly be engaging with Harvey's to act on my behalf for future property dealings.

I employed the company Thomas Harvey to sell both my home and a building plot attached.
We discussed the best way to go about this and they recommended I leave everything to them which I did. It’s refreshing to find a group of people who do exactly what they said they would do, straight talkers with positive attitude.
Special mention to Alex, he got us more than the asking price, and was great to deal with.

From appointing to completion - 8 weeks...they got the valuation right & secured the correct deal. I didn't get involved at all, just left it to the team. They did every viewing and dealt with all negotiations.

Very abrupt male agents. You do everything they say, that is fine. But any problem or if you challenge or question them, they will not accept it. Very unprofessional, steer away from them. Proof: See other 1 Star Reviews (I.e. from Arvin Kumar, Dorothy Nesbit, etc.) where Glyn Harvey or the agency tries to justify themselves by NOT acknowledging (what good agents should do) but attacking their reviewers.

We tried to enquire about a property, but the agent wasn’t very helpful and came off very smug, snobby and didn’t come across very welcoming. When speaking on the phone the agent came across a bit rude which put me off. I won’t be using these estate agents again.

I tend to enquire properties with Thomas Harvey,
It's an average service I receive most times. On some occasions I find that this one particular lady who answers the phone at Wolverhampton branch, tends to become easily irritable, speaks over and is in rush to end the call rather than help potential customers. It's like if I want to ask more questions she hesitantly and reluctantly answers and is dying to put the phone down. The customer service could improve, other wise the estate agent is not so bad.

Viewed a property and the agent could not answer a single question. Everything i asked i was told i need to call the office and ask, she was there just as a puppet. She don't know if it was a non-standard construction, no idea of rental in that area, don't know how old the property is, cannot tell me the Done Up value, think she never heard that term before as I had to explain what DUV means.
Submitted an offer the next day and I got no reply. Emailed back 2 days later as a follow up and i told they do not take offers via email, so i have to call the office! I called the office and while asking why they do not accept offers via email, a guy jumped on the call and started blabbering, without even being told someone else is going to take over the call. I was now told the property was a non-standard construction. I explained this was not told ... and I was cut short by the guy who said 'so I am telling you that NOW! Do you still want to go ahead or not?!' I said yes just send my offer to the seller, to which he then said 'we got higher offers on the table what do you want to do?' I said this is what my offer is. He then asked if i need a mortgage, i said no got all my things sorted. He said so 'if you will pay cash you need to show me the proof first!'
If you got a property to sell there are more friendly and customer focussed agents in Dudley. I am a property investor and met a lot of agents but this one is a pure gimmick, unprofessional, rude and got no knowledge of property. They are basically a middleman hoping to make easy money. A good estate agent will have all information of the property at the time of the viewing. Advertise with these muppets and have your property hanging on the market!

First call the young girl re took my details, second call I have been fobbed off saying the house needed a deep clean before viewing. My partner has called today 29/05/2020 to be told that the property sold a couple of days ago... we have not even been contacted by them. We were really interested in this property and feel let down by poor customer service.

We chose Thomas Harvey to sell our house as, in comparison to other Estate Agents who valued our home, we felt their valuation was fair and we were pleased with their enthusiasm about our home. Our house sale turned out to particularly lengthy and difficult due to problems down the chain (to say the least). Alex worked tirelessly to ensure that he kept informed of the sales progress and did his upmost to push the sale through to exchange. He was always happy to speak with us no matter how many times a day we called or how many questions/concerns we raised. When I paid our bill, it did not seem enough for the effort he had put in. Glyn Harvey, the valuer at Thomas Harvey, made a very poor impression on me in our first call, in marked contrast to other agents in the area. When I told him I was calling about a property I am offering for sale, he refused to give even a broad indication of the value without viewing.(Frankly, I can work that out with the help of Rightmove - so he should be able to, too.) When I asked for an average time from going on the market until completion he said "twelve weeks if it goes well". I told him I was asking about AVERAGE times for Thomas Harvey and he told me it wasn't helpful to provide this. I told him I was asking because it would be helpful for me to know. I don't know what his reasons were for refusing to provide this information but I got the firm impression that he thought he knew best and I know from experience that when agents "know better" they can be difficult to deal with and unhelpful. The word "arrogant" springs to mind, which is often the first cousin of complacency.
Why was it important for me to ask these questions? Firstly, in doing some initial research, it helped me to have information about the likely buyers, broad value etc. of the property. Secondly, because talking to a range of estate agents gave me some sense of who I might want to work with. As a first pass, I wouldn't want to have someone acting on my behalf who thought he knew better than I do what is helpful to me.

I really can’t recommend this estate agents enough..
All of the team, Alex, Chris, Maria and Claudia worked so hard for us in obtaining a sale on our home.
They really made us feel that we were the only vendors they were acting for and worked tirelessly to sell our home, we had a tremendous amount of viewings and all in a relatively short space of time. The marketing was excellent and after everyone of the viewings we had feedback and updates.
Maria and Claudia especially were always on the phone and we really felt that they were doing absolutely everything that they could to sell our house. Especially as it really tested their selling skills as we had a pylon in the garden of the property which made things a little more tricky for them.
They really were amazing and I will always be super grateful for all of their efforts in helping us achieve our dream to relocate.

The team at Thomas Harvey have been amazing from start to finish in both our house sale and the purchase of our new property.
From the first meeting with Chris we were made to feel at ease and they actively worked with us to create a plan to sell our house that we were extremely happy with. Great communication throughout the whole process resulted in us selling our house very quickly.
Thomas Harvey also helped us negotiate and secure our house purchase too. Unfortunately it was a very difficult chain (the whole process took 5 months - no fault of Thomas Harvey) and this is where Thomas Harvey came into their own. Alex in particular went above and beyond the duty of an estate agent. There were instances where our conveyancer did not provide updates and Alex would go out of his way to call all parties and provide updates not only to us but to other parties in the chain too.
We had spoken to numerous estate agents including online providers before agreeing to go ahead with Thomas Harvey and we are so glad that we went ahead with them. Every time we spoke to a member of the Thomas Harvey team they were friendly, kept us up to date and helped make the process far less stressful.
The communication, professionalism and patience shown (sorry for the daily phone calls Alex) was second to none.
Alex, we genuinely cannot thank you enough for all that you did for us and I honestly believe if we had a different estate agent, the chain would have fallen through.
I cannot recommend Thomas Harvey enough – a family run business who genuinely have a vested interest in providing exceptional service for their customers.

Horrible experience. We were about to purchase a property marketed by Thomas Harvey. Our mortgage was approved prior to making an offer, we have everything ready including deposit, solicitors etc. After 3.5 months - the property is STILL BEING ADVERTISED! Thomas Harvey promised to mark the property 'Sold STC' once the draft contracts were produced which I believe was done 8 weeks ago! Absolutely disgraceful. They cant even make suitable times for me to view the property. I was travelling 150 miles to visit the property many times as the property needed a HUGE ENTIRE renovation, and they do not even have the correct keys available. I had builders coming with me to tour the property & estimating £50k worth of work I was told to 'hurry up' as they have other properties to show. I mean, I travelled 6 hours to be told to hurry up? Wow. The property 'handler' Chris, does not reply to emails or call back when requested. I have on many occasions emailed or called Chris regarding urgent matters such as covenants on the deed - I am still awaiting a reply! I will never, EVER use or recommend Thomas Harvey. To the owner of Thomas Harvey - You just lost yourself your commission because of your own negligence!
In short - Stay very well clear of Thomas Harvey estate agents of Wolverhampton. I will be providing evidence of this experience to Trading Standards.

Fantastic company from start to finish. I lived in one of there rented properties for just over a year, they returned the full safety deposit, were quick to fix any problems I had and were sympathetic when I twice paid a couple days late. Since leaving they have forwarded on mail to me, even doing so the day I asked them them to a few months after I had left. Highly recommended!
