Booked to get my house valued. Agreed an appointment date and time but they didn't turn up.. blamed their AI booking system and said they couldn't help me. I also booked time off work for this so I am out of pocket and no further forward... better / easier estate agents to go with in Carlisle.

Many thanks to Caroline for doing all the viewings, staying late some evenings to accommodate some people too; her hard work was very much appreciated.
We were grateful for the regular updates from Annabelle throughout the process, and Fiona was always helpful on the occasions we spoke to her on the telephone. We always felt the team were just an email or telephone call away.

Have recently bought a property through this company and have been very impressed with how professional and friendly the girls were Tiffens especially Fiona, Annabelle and Caroline who have helped guide me through this process. Whenever there seemed to be any hiccups or problems with the purchase the girls were always there to help and their prompt responses certainly helped to make the whole process much easier and far less stressful. A brIlliant company. They weren't actually our estate agent but we're part of our chain. They were friendly, professional and went above and beyond to move the sale forward. Shocking Estate Agents. Look at the difference between their Facebook reviews and their other reviews. Why are all the Facebook reviews much much better?
Neil the supposed negotiator couldn't sell his way out of a wet paper bag! And he's so rude and arrogant. Why are they rude to potential customers? Why are they scared of certain customers they haven't met? Why are they paranoid?

BE WARNED: Unapologetically incompetent.
Agent failed to inform us that our offer was rejected. When confronted will repeatedly avoid apologising and instead lie and claim they did send an email (they didn’t.).
Furthermore, we placed a revised offer, and when we rung up the next morning to see if a decision had been made they once again lied and claimed they had not received an email and that the property was sold stc from another offer which came after ours.
Never would I look at a house being sold through them again. Very very poor and unhelpful service.

Although I viewed a property 2023 I failed to buy it because my property sale fell through, I will be back in touch with them for a future buy..
only negative about any properties viewed with agents in Carlisle, they do not insist the sellers present the property/not meaning furnished just a bit cleaner, rubbish picked up mail collected or boxed, repairs best to see as first impressions count..
still it’s the system there, I am a retired estate agent.

When we bought our house 3 years ago we remembered Tiffins showed us another house and the person was punctual and polite. So now we are selling we called Tiffins. Arranged an appraisal for 1pm today while on lunch break. Text from Neil Emerson at 12.30 reminding us. Nobody arrived. 1.50 a phone call to say he had been stuck in another meeting. Not good enough. Phone call ended. Won't be selling this house through them or buying our next one either. Slow hand clap.

Don’t deal with this company.
You put in an offer over asking price on day one, they say all viewings must be completed before offer accepted, you get a call there has been a counter offer, you add on another £3000 pounds, next day they send email house is sold the buyers in a better position no answer when I ask what position is that, on top of that they still had viewings booked and one of them was us so all were cancelled
We want a home, not an Airbnb, not a holiday home, but estate agents put prices up so high ordinary people cannot afford them they are only interested in commission , they are all responsible for how high priced the housing market is.
There should be a law no second homes.

I've sold 2 properties through Tiffens over the last year. The first was not long after the COVID lock downs when there was a buying frenzy in the property market. The second was recently in a challenging sales market impacted by the "cost of living crisis", fast rising mortgage rates etc.
In both cases I was pleased with the property valuation and the marketing descriptions which were were published very promptly. Again, in both cases I received multiple offers within a few days resulting in acceptance following guidance given by Tiffens regarding the most suitable buyer. I'm pleased to say that the sales process went from offer acceptance through to completion without any hitches. The communication throughout was spot on - being both informative & timely. I've bought & sold a few properties in Carlisle over a number of years and in my experience Tiffens are second to none among estate agencies.
I cannot fault them and have no hesitation in recommending them for their thoroughly professional service and "getting the job done"

They have been so professional and efficient, making selling my mums house after she passed much better than I thought
Neil took amazing photos if the house and it was marketed really well. It went the first morning .
The girls in the office are wonderful, always there with a helping hand ??
They workin conjunction with Bendles who were very good too.

Went into store to ask for information about houses for sale, wanted actual printed info, wasn’t given any said it was all email!!! Not much point in having an office in the centre of Workington then !!!! Told me a property was sold, but still on the website. In fact I’ve seen at least three properties for sale my brother would be interested in. In areas I specified, but was told no properties for sale in those areas. Wasted journey to Workington, at least Whitehaven estate agents could give me hard copies.

I asked the agent to arrange viewings for an Open day , which they seemed reluctant to do , however it was arranged and then a buyer coming a long distance couldn’t make it so viewed outside open day however they finally ended up being the successful buyer no vst

I was viewing a property through them. Can't even describe how rude and uninterested their employee were (female). She kept reminding me I have 5 minutes left probably 5 times. Cheeky and abrupt. I wouldn't like them to be involved in selling my property.

Viewed a house over a month ago. I called last week to see if the the seller had a new price in mind for a quick cash sale, before we bought another we had seen. Five days later still no reply to my question. I called the seller and asked if they had asked him, he informed me that he had NOT received a call from Tiffens. Absolutely awful service!
