You’d think a leak that fries the electricity in the house, leaving us with no lights or working appliances, would get a better response than just “oh it’s not urgent, just turn the lights off”.
If I was a ghost, I would haunt anyone that works there.

This is my second time renting through Westways and I've always had a very good experience with them.
When I first moved in Alessandro was really helpful, kind and professional and very responsive to all the queries I had. The whole process was quick and painless, and the requests I made on the offer form were dealt with by the time I moved in.
Gian was super helpful in helping me renew my tenancy and negotiating conditions with the landlord. He kept me updated throughout and helped me achieve a great result that allowed me to stay in my flat for one more year. Gian's customer care is really unmatched - he has gone above and beyond in helping me.

I cannot recommend renting a flat through Westways. The letting agency was slow in taking action for essential repairs (such as leaving a bedroom without blinds for over six weeks and the flat without heating or hot water for close to a week) and routinely blamed the landlord for their delays and other shortcomings. Most disappointing, however, was their attempt to unreasonably withhold a portion of the deposit. Fortunately, once we escalated the issue to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, the full deposit was finally returned. Prospective renters should be wary and know their rights.

TLDR: Great experience - Alessandro's clarity, professionalism and quick response rates are second to none.
Had a great experience with Alessandro Costantini at Westways. Very quick to respond via both email and WhatsApp, answered our many questions patiently and kept close track of the progress of references etc. across all parties. Changes and corrections were straightforward and transparent, financial payments were clearly laid out and receipt of funds acknowledged immediately. Alessandro worked extremely hard to secure the tenancy in a very tight timeline and was excellent to work with.

We had a good experience with Westways. They were helpful throughout the letting process. Alessandro was a very polite and responsive agent, corresponding with us and helping us negotiate several points of the agreement within a relatively limited span of time, allowing us to move in before we both had to leave for the summer (we’re students who live in London during the academic year). It’s often difficult for students to secure private housing, and Westways was very helpful for us in doing this.

Westways Lettings team is probably the worst lettings team I have encountered in London in my 13 years of living in London and renting 7-8 different flats. The team is unresponsive, uncoordinated, and rude. I waited 12 months to have my front door sound proofed, and the repairs made it worse than it was before. I also had a gas leak from a poorly installed boiler and was accused of making up that there was a gas leak. I don't recommend renting with Westways.

They are abysmal at dealing with issues with the property, often taking months to sort anything out. In the end the only way I could get stuff looked at was by turning up to their office in person. When a leak caused the electricity to go out, they said it was non-urgent and said to just "keep the lights off."

Extremely poor service. I received an email from David, requesting information about my income, preferred lease length, etc, after I had reached out regarding a property. I replied within minutes and heard nothing back for a day or two. I ended up calling the office asking for a viewing, which, ironically, David setup. I then called back to reschedule so that I was able to have my wife view the property with me. He then informed me that an offer had actually been made and accepted. When I asked him why he hadn't gotten back to me sooner after our initial emails, which would have, at least, given me a chance to have made an offer - he said nothing and hung up.

Our experience with this agency has been appalling.
They disrespected our time by giving literal last-minute notices and, on one occasion, being over an hour late for an appointment. Prior to us moving in, it took the letting team over 4 attempts to correct simple mistakes in the tenancy agreement.
The property management is also poor. Despite agreeing to install an additional layer of privacy mesh curtains as a condition precedent to signing the tenancy agreement, as the property is next to a bus stop (for which we have offered extra rent per month), the agent mistakenly renewed the existing curtains without installing the privacy curtains and tried to spin this mistake as simply "not meeting tenants' expectations". It has been one month into the rental, and there has been no progress whatsoever.
I feel compelled to share this review, as the current score does not reflect the true experience one can expect.
Update:
The property management has followed up on the issue of mesh curtains for privacy. We were sent curtain wires and curtains on 22nd April, and we offered to install them ourselves as the mechanism is relatively simple. This has been a welcome development, instilling a sense of progress and helping to rebuild trust in their responsiveness and commitment to resolving issues.

Alessandro helped me find an apartment in Queensway. He was very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions for both me and my uncle, who acted as my guarantor. He offered to show me the house virtually since I wasn't in London, and as soon as I arrived, he made himself available to show it to me in person. He took care of the entire process from start to finish, always explaining what I needed to do or what documents to provide.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT TRUST THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS! I have had nothing but issues since renting from Westway's. Within our first month we were without a shower for two weeks, the kitchen sink constantly leaked and was only resolved when it leaked through downstairs ceiling, causing damage to the flat below. It has taken 2 months to replace a blind in the living room with the cheapest blind they could find that doesn't even fit the window!! The will ignore all your issues until you press them for action. Completely incompetent with absolutely no regard for you or your flat after you start renting. Do yourself a favour and find another agency.

We had a very positive experience with the west ways agency. All of the agency members are professional and helpful, and especially our agent Bianca had been supportive.
She was the first person whom I contacted with the west ways agency. As it was our first time to find a property in London, we had lots of inquiries. But she always responded to our questions kindly and quickly.
Moving was one of the most stressful things for me, but thanks to her help, there was nothing much difficulty and her kind service significantly moved us.

The Team at Westways are amazing, it was our first experience of moving when there was a chain involved, and whilst they were not the agent of the property we were buying, they offered a ton of advice of what to expect, questions when it came to the end to end process.
To sell our apartment we had to follow a specific process (part of a first time buyer initiative) which Westways really understood, this proved invaluable. Lastly, when it came to the final push to exchange / complete, the effort from the team was exceptional, they went above and beyond.
We worked with Grant and Joe, but everyone there was super professional, communicative and empathetic, the latter seems hard to find in the industry but is super important, especially when it's your first time buying or selling.

Really helpful team, we managed to move into our new flat within a week of making an offer. The team were really responsive and answered all our questions. Our only qualm was that it was very difficult to get them to make a small change in the tenancy agreement.
Once we had moved in, we locked ourselves in by accident because the key to the bottom lock didn't fit properly. Someone from the estate agency came first thing in the morning, an hour before the estate agency actually opens, so that was very nice of them.

If you are in the process of searching for a property, avoid this agency! Absolutely disgusting service, unreliable and lousy agents. They list properties to click-bait clients! I have been enquiring for a property which I had to call for several times, it took days for someone to come back to me, when I asked for additional information I was told that they will try to find out and they will let me know. They never did, when I called them again and asked for the requested details I have been transferred to a very rude agent, that could not be bothered with my questions and basically told me to look someplace else as they don't want certain type of tenants!!!! Absolutely appalling way of running a business!

I can confidently recommend Grant Lewis who was extremely polite, professional, sympathetic and just downright bloody brilliant all round in everything he did to sell our flat. Because of having many negative experiences with the agencies in the past I went to the building I always wanted to live and I spoke to a very kind porter if any availability of the flats hoping to speak to the landlord and he said yes and he gave me the number of Matthew from Westways. I called and he organised the viewing the same day which I was super happy and surprised about. He came before the agreed time and showed us flats available and we really liked that one flat and we made an offer. I later on from the business card he gave me found out Matthew is the director. He is extremely kind, professional and very helpful and flexible also, he has an outstanding, unique and brilliant attitude! He helped us to get the offer approved but not only that him and then later on Robin who has checked us in and always made sure everything is okay, they helped and made huge efforts from start to get everything approved, told us exactly what we needed, from referencing, paperwork etc and organised it all since there was multiple parties involved. When ever I called Matthew he answered immediately and was always happy to help no matter how busy he was. Same thing with Robin, when I called the office there was immediate answer and if Robin wasn't available then they'd leave the message and he'd call me back. We gained huge trust in them!
Really the whole process from start to finish happened all thanks to them.
I am just extremely happy how much time and effort they saved on our side and how they handled the whole process which is just amazing!!
All I can add to the end is that this is definitely in my opinion one of the best agencies around and we strongly and highly recommend it to all of you no matter if you are a tenant or the landlord you will be always taken care of by Westways. :)
