Paraphrasing a well known critic, "The only reason I'm giving William H Brown 5 stars, is because I can't give them more!" The data base they hold of clients looking for properties, enabled them to arrange a viewing of my property, even before it went 'live' on their system. The property went 'live' at 13.49pm on Monday, 7th April, by which time the first viewing had already been arranged for 12.30pm the following day! An offer was made that afternoon which we accepted. I only hope they managed to turn the van round bringing the 'For Sale' sign! Well done Ashley, Carla, Ellie and the rest of the team!

Great valuation visit very positive attitude. All aspects of preparing house for selling from write up to photographs were great. Listened to customer and discussed correct way to market including selling price. Several viewings within first week. Offer after just 3 weeks on the market. So we got it right i believe. My only negative comment would be that the buyer made an offer with a condition, that they couldn't complete until a certain date. This quite relevant bit of information was not passed onto me the seller. Hence why 4/5 stars.

We found the service very poor. Communication was very poor. Information that was asked to be passed to any potential buyers just didn’t happen which lost us a sale as the potential buyer found information from a 3rd party. This was not fair on the potential buyers or ourselves. Asked to take sold sign down and after approx 4 weeks still wasn’t done so resorted to doing it ourselves. Would definitely not recommend WilliamH Browns

Oh my goodness what an incompetent team at Beverley branch. Been trying to view a property on their books for 2 weeks. Each time I ring I'm given the third degree about my financial situation then told the property has a tenant... I KNOW! YOU HAVE TOLD ME 3 TIMES AND I CAN READ!
Each time I'm told someone will ring me back when they have spoke to the tenant but no one ever does.
I ring them back again and start the whole process again... Financial interrogation, told the property has a tenant, told they will ring me back!
If you want to pay a high street estate agent a small fortune to do everything possible to NOT sell your house I can fully recommend WHB as they are very good at doing everything possible to block a purchase.
I suspect things would have been different if I had agreed to speak to their mortgage brokers but as I have my own I suspect this could be the reason they are blocking me.

From a buyer's perspective, we found them slow, frustratingly unresponsive to queries, provided vague guidance which needed to be checked independently time and time again (and was at least in one important circumstance, incorrect). We could speculate that they might be a good agent from the seller's perspective, as all dealings with them were shrouded in secrecy and clearly the "sale" was more important than the "service". Your mileage may vary, but we would certainly avoid them in the future.
